You can make any app pull images from framework-res.apk and/or com.htc.resources.apk...for example all htc apps (mail, contacts, messages, etc.) pull images from com.htc.resources.apk. There are different ways that you can pull images from framework apks, but thats a whole different ball game.

I'll look into it tomorrow, but if i do make one, it will only work on windows.
Noob question.... so adding "@com.htc:" in front of drawable tells it to pull the image from the com.htc.resources apk?

A script is doable, but it will be more of a kit. In order for this to work I need to incorporate apktool to it, thats why it will be more of a kit than a script. I will work on this and release hopefully by next weekend.

I am a big fan of the transitions/ animations from Virus's eternity rom so I made a simple zip file that you can use to flash through metamorph in order to get those animations.
I have actually decided to make a small collection of different styles of transitions from various roms/themes, let me know if you have any suggestions.
Disclaimer - These are framework apk mods for the Evo3d CDMA but I believe it should work for GSM and sensation just fine. It may even work for other devices actually. Let me know whether it does or does not
Download zip for Eternity rom transitions
Download zip for Team Derp theme transitions
Download zip to revert to stock animations
Download zip for Photon 4g stock animations
Download zip for flip style animations
Metamorph Instructions
1) download metamorph from the market (its made by stericson, a mod and dev on xda)
2) move the zip to either Androidthemes folder on your sd or anywhere else but remember where you put it
3) start the app and let it run the checks
4) choose unzip/extract new theme
5) point to the location of the zip
6) let it extract the file
7) hit apply all!
8) reboot and taduh!
Thanks to Virus for letting me do this and thanks to Vinchenzop for getting me into metamorph!
Thanks to ilduce and teamderp for their awesome theme where i got their transitions from!
Hit thanks if you like it!
what style transitions are they? screenshots/samples or trans/anim names?
I'm gonna try to upload a video later since its hard to describe them...
they are pretty cool though I can guarantee you that

Yup but so far for the Rezound it is battery mods only.
Battery mods are the biggest part, is over 200 images to do it 1 by 1 is killer, I've done it and it sucks.the rest of the theme building is pretty easy and less tedious. I nominally use uot for the battery then build from there. glad to see they got it going. I've been itching to builds some themes for this phone, once I get the time I plan on getting a few out there

It has images pulled from HTC sense, modified colors, custom lockscreen, and more.
Put attached zip into /sdcard/TWRP/THEME/ (internal sdcard not sdcard 2)
Name the file exactly ui.zip (case sensitive)
I've added a quick and dirty mockup of what it looks like lol.
Enjoy!

You're gonna love this. I built this theme first from the resources on teamw.in and after installing there was lots of broken things. After about 2 hours of work I gave up and hopped on #twrp. Apparently, theme resources are out dated, and I had to adb pull them from recovery itself. Fyi you'll want to do that, cuz I made about 5 of the images transparent, and modified color codes in the xml. Here's how :
adb pull /res/images
adb pull /res/ui.xml
Don't need to mount anything, just type those in cmd while booted to recovery. Thanks to dees_troy for that info.

that is different. let me see what i can do, if anything
ok so the reason why it looks small, is because its meant for hdpi devices and we have xhdpi. so all the png's will need to be converted. but let me see if i can decompile it without any errors to make sure there are no xmls that needs to be edited too.
Edit:
Looks like we need 4 edits in an xml. and the png's need to be resized from 80 x 80 to 120 x 120
i am no good with photoshop so we need to find someone willing to do that. it should all work after that.
