[Q] Using the HTC One without a sim card or activation

Hey guys,
I was wondering, is it possible to use the T-Mobile HTC One without activation or a sim card? Say if I go to T-Mobile and buy it in full, without a plan, will I be able to use it like a media device or development device?
I plan to use it later as an actual phone but not as soon as I buy it. However, I would like to use it as a media device and development device in the mean time.
Thanks in advance!
Hey,
yeah but maybe you have to unlock it first. not sure about that
You would only be using a Wifi connection, right?
So the answer is yes, you'll be fine.

[Q] SIM card not working

Don`t know why my s3i9000 can`t read my sim card although it is all good in other phones, is the network lock issue or the baseband issue?
Thanks!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but why not just get a Verizon SIM card? They are free and then you won't have that problem. Is the international SIM giving you something special? I know if you go on vacation, Verizon can give you a SIM that will work wherever you go so I assume you can still get the same benefits like using it on international networks? Sorry if I totally misunderstood the problem.

That's the reason - Verizon charges $20.48 per megabyte in Europe. Or, 100Mb of data for $2048. Those "Jeremy" T-Mobile ads aren't joking.
How did you remove the warning? I use a non-US SIM when I'm overseas so would like to remove the message.

HAHA... OK I got you, sorry. Just curious, if you are on another carrier network and someone else's SIM and the phone is unlocked, why would it have anything to do with Verizon and be checking for a Verizon SIM?

Because they're buttheads.
Really. There's no reason to do this except to make it annoying when you avoid throwing $$$$ at them.

Question Need help trying to SIM unlock.

I've tried everything. Can anyone help? Thanks.
I'm in the same spot as you buddy they've been ok at temp unlocking, can do it 3 more months, hopefully something comes up before then.
I'm trying to play with spoofing a sim card, gonna start going over other phones and exploits they've used on TMobile

You will need to call T-Mobile and get the code unfortunately. Sorry that we can't help in this issue!
