if u familiar with installing cm9 or cm 10.. i think it can be done.
http://www.mediafire.com/?f7a0bd0u897ggdv this the rom package kernel is inside zip
-extract kernel from zip
-put zip package to sdcard
-flash the kernel via fastboot/flashtool with fastboot mode
-get in to recovery mode (cwm recovery)
-format data/default factory, clean cache and dalvik
-flash the rom
-then reboot
-set wifi on then
-flash gapps in recovery
what work doesnt work see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803076 except usb storage not full implement.

PA setting is about taste, I can't give u good recommend, I'm use tabletui for status bar with some app on phone ui, with 160 DPI on system DPI, some like phablet ui, and other stick on phone ui, if you give ss or layout you want, maybe i can figure the setting.

I wish I could tell you what kind of layout I want but I am absolutely cluesless! I was happy with the UI in your AOKP ports. I play around with PA settings and the icons become sooo small and sometimes tooo big. Plus my exams are on the way so I can't play too much with my phone.
But was with you guys from start of AOKP JB and till PAC V5.. Now, plain ol FXP 142. Will rejoin the PAC army after exams. Please keep up the outstanding work you have been doing!

Recent Apps
Is it just me or is anybody else also facing this issue? I freshly formatted and installed PACman V6.5. Right after install, long press of home button shows the list of recent apps. Then after going to AOKP settings and disabling the unwanted toggle buttons, long press of home button doesn't show recent apps anymore. Only makes the status bar disappear for 5 seconds.
Even tried to reenable the toggle buttons in AOKP settings. Still it doesn't show the list of recent apps. The only solution is to reformat and reinstall the ROM.

Hi Kormatoes,
Somebody in the development thread also replied that the recent apps is not working. I have been experimenting with the ROM and found that (with Titanium Backup Root) that the System ROM partition has 0B free. That seems to be the issue.
I have removed few apks from the zips (Apollo, GMail, Youtube, TTS files except English, Thinkfree and TTS from GAPPS) and reflashed it. Now, system ROM is 4 MB free and no more problems.

Here's how I flashed. I was using FXP CM9 earlier-
1. Fastboot flashHallon.img
2. Reboot into recovery (graphic glitch) and wipe data/factory reset. Also wipe cache partition.
3. Mounts and storage -> Format /system and format /cache
4. Install Pacman zip.
5. Reboot and turn Wi-Fi on.
6. Reboot and install GApps.
I have 327 MB system partition (as seen in Titanium Backup Root).
PACMan v.6.5 build date Sun Oct 14 (about phone).
GApps - gapps-jb-20121011-signed.
EDIT: After deleting the TTS files, now Voice won't work I thought it would download the TTS files to data partition)

Finally got voice working
I copied back files from gapps zip to system/tts and now voice is working fine. Also uninstalled Talkback.
Now everything is working buttery smooth, except that system partition has just 2 MB left. But no problems with ROM.
I wonder how Kormatoes got 60 MB free in system. What might I be doing wrong? Perhaps it is because I am using latest version of GApps? The size of this GApps is ~85 MB.

Saw the thread. Everybody says ~100 MB free RAM, which is correct.
As for the system partition, people say 15 MB, 4.20 MB, etc. One user says 60 MB free out of 400 MB system partition, which means ROM takes 340MB and for me, as I have 327 MB system, it gets full.
Is there any way to increase my system partition from 327 MB to 400 MB?
Thanks.
---------- Post added at 11:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 AM ----------
Just made one discovery. The difference is due to the model of the phone-
Neo = 327 MB system partition
Neo V = 400 MB system partition
Size needed to comfortably flash this ROM ~ 340 MB.
So people flashing this ROM to Neo V will have no problems but people having Neo will exhaust their system partition.
In one another thread, says it is possible to flash the ftf files from Neo V to Neo and increase system to 400 MB. However, I am reluctant to do that at the moment, as not sure if there are any side effects or if the process is reversible at all.
For me, solution at the moment is to trim down the ROM and install it. Works like a charm

Hows gaming? And how much free ram?

[how-to] get the best ram management on stock rom .587

As we all know , the stock rom .587 is very laggy specially when there is more installed apps because of bad ram management , then every one of us starts thinking of flashing costom roms but we probably don't need that any more . Well in the begining its a tweak for xNXT stock based roms of the dev. Pranav Pandey , big thanks for him , that increases ram managment of the xNXT rom , but it also works for the stock rom with big difference , as i tested it , the results are :
- No more lag with the launcher exept some little times
- Free ram is increased to 150 mb instead of 80 mb
- Better multitasking up to 6 of normal apps ( 10 - 20 mb )
- very smooth game play on HD games that consist more ram ( subway surfers ( 110 mb ) , that before applying this tweak was impossible to play , now even facebook app and avast are running in the background and eating more ram and cpu memory , it still so smooth )
[This is my first post and i'm not a dev , just a good tweak to be shared ]
Requirement :
- Stock .587
- Rooted
- CWM
Instruction : ( make a nandroid backup first to have a way back if something went rong )
1- Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093511 , and download xNXT-tweaks_byParanavPandey.zip colled tweaks in the download page .
2- reboot into recovery
3- flash the .zip
4- in Aroma installer , choose only init.d ( i don't know if the others works or not )
5- reboot and enjoy !
Let me know if it works for you , and dont miss to thank the dev .

[MOD][Sola/P/U][JB] || advanced superuser mod || DieHard Services Mod ||

Hello guys,
Here I'm with another mod for Xperia Sola and its siblings
I was facing frequent Launcher redraws and much irritating killing of Keyboard with JB Roms
I have compiled services.jar for many many times and finally I'm able to lock the launcher and keyboard in RAM
For launcher and keyboard OOM values are set zero (foreground) by default and also process importance for these two has been set FOREGROUND so that android system do not change OOM values for these two (see screenshot)
FEEL FREE TO USE THIS MOD AND GIVE PROPER CREDITS IF YOU ARE USING IT IN YOUR ROM
this is working perfectly in my xSola, this may also work for Xperia P/U and GO also
Features:
Super User Mod enabled from here, Thanks to DavidMKD fro giving me tutorial on this
Stock launcher and Stock keyboard locked in memory from here
OOM grouping redefined
because of redefined OOM grouping, third party launcher and Keyboards also working FOREGROUND, like swiftkey keyboard is working for me
How to:
Download the attachment and just flash in recovery, wipe dalvik cache and reboot
or
Extraxt the services.jar file from downloaded zip file and put into /system/framework and set -rw-r-r permissions
Download link on second post :good:

This cwm file is errors on manfile-mf & on update-script.
You can extract service.jar on this files and copy to system, set permission R-R-W (644) AND put this file service.jar on path /system/framework. Reboot phone and you go to cwm recovery Wipe Cahe partition & wipe dalvik cache. And Enjoyed!!!!

for this you need terminal emulator,
to check your current valves, type this in terminal
su
cat /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
this will give values in pages, 1 page = 4 kb i.e. 1024 pages = 4mb
now to set your own values, type this ( say, you want to set 2, 4, 8, 40, 70, 80 in mb's)
su
echo "512,1024,2048,10240,17920,20480" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree
note: these are not permanent, you need to set this after every reboot
so easiest way to do this is to download some applications from google play which can set this on every reboot, for example Android tuner or Auto memory optimiser etc.

Xperia U Serious Problem

My Xperia U Too Slow I Have Tried Many Methods Posted In General Discussion I Also Rooted My U(w/o unlocking bootloader). Currently Using ICS(6.1.1.B.1.10 firmware) And My Free RAM Is Always Less Then 120MB.I Also Installed App Quarantine To Freeze Unwanted App Bt Still Nothing Works. Even Games Like Temple Oz Lagging In It. Bt When I AM Using It On GB I Can Play Maxpayne And Other Games w/o Any Lag.Please Suggest Me Some Good Method To Make It Fast I Am New Here And Hoping For A Some Good Answers.Any Type Of Help Will Be Appreciated.
best is to upgrade to a newer firmware of ics... the build u r using is the oldest/first ics build... so i suggest u should upgrade..(use flashtool and a proper ftf file)
Actually 120 mb free ram is more than sufficient u can't change it because system also need ram to work however you can download clean master this app is really helpful to manage your system or uninstall unwanted apps
Here is my free ram

how to do dat and is it safe?
Yea. Either root and cwm your current ics then flash GB-Rocks rom. Or use flashtool and flash the standard gb ftf.

Edit - i see you're already rooted. Of you don't have cwm. Install it - download this and unzip. Click the bat file with your phone plugged in to your pc - https://app.box.com/s/z8a8dmdco59u6tehbhy3
Download the gb rocks rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37764050
Backup your existing (just in case - until you're happy with the change) then flash gb in recovery

My Phone Is Rooted And I Dont Know Anything ANout Flasing Is It Safe? And ALso How Much Free RAM Will Be There IN GB ?
Choice for you!!
First of all Welcome to XDA Bro!!
Now for ur problem. There are 2 solutions which I can mention.
1) Flash a Better Stock ROM.
Choose this method if you have a Locked Bootloader and don't want to Unlock it or If you can't Unlock your Bootloader.
I would suggest you to Flash a Stock based ROM - Venezuela Xperia U MOD
Remember though that for this ROM you first need to flash Stock B.1.100 ROM (B.1.10 and B.1.100, both are different).
Instructions are already there within the respective Thread.

2) Flash a Custom ROM
Choose this method If you have already unlocked your bootloader or wish to unlock it.
This is my preferred option as a Custom CM/AOKP/AOSP ROM is much much better compared to Stock/based ROMs as it is void of any kind of Bloatware and provides better performance/responsiveness.
For this option I would recommend you to Flash SlimCM ROM which is a CM based one.
Though keep in mind that by flashing a Custom ROM you will lose Bravia Engine/xLOUD/Illumination Bar* like facilities.
Illumination Bar will only work for Notifications, it will not glow when you will touch the capacitive buttons. It will not give you the chameleon like effect when you open Music app or Gallery app.

Choice is yours.
PS: I also read that you are new to flashing. For flashing, first of all you'll need "Flashtool" which is a software. Just Google it. Then search for some guides to using Flashtool on XDA.

So How Much Amnt Of Free RAM U Have In Ur Phone?

[help me!!] choose my rom

Ok, i was very happy with my X-gamer 2.0 GB rom, even getting that "package file is invalid" error i found a thread here in xda telling how to fix this (create a 2nd partition on sd card and use link2sd to link apps data cache to this partition), but sudenly some of my apps couldn't be found anymore, including rootexplorer and google play. So i restored a CWM backup and the problem presisted (even that the backup wasn't having this issue before), so i decided to change the rom to AtoMic 7.0 GB.
Now i'm getting the "package file is invalid" error like X-Gamer rom and i don't want that anymore. I deleted the 2nd partition and now i want a GB rom that doesn't get this error. Something that both roms have must be causing this.
So, which GB rom (i want one fast, for gaming without lag) i can use that doesn't have this issue??

Well, i just tried Gin2Jellybean and i got the same error. Do you have a partition on your sd card? How much apps do you have installed? Where is your apps cache saved?

That's why you don't get the error, you don't have enough apps. If you had like 90 or 100 apps you would have the same error and would be needed to link the cache in this partition...
This sucks, but i think is the only way to use good GB roms...

Why not try ICS?
Hey I know you're looking for only GB roms. But why not take a look at the XPERIA HD rom? Those are pretty neat and really fast for gaming. (At least my old phone did), it runs on stock ics too if you want. Or else you could try Ice Cream Pureness (but development slowed to a stop for that one I believe)
