I'm currently having my Aria on CyanogenMod 7.2 on Drowning's Kernel. My screen seems to shake in the sense of display when I leave my finger on the screen after scrolling around. It some how reads my finger moving around the screen (up and down) at a very fast gesture when my finger was just steady at one spot.
This causes frustrations as in some applications, it is hard to scroll around because I need to remove my finger in order to read the words and etc. Though the shake is not extreme, just mild but it is annoying. Somehow there is a problem with the screen reading my finger.
Could it be Hardware issue?
I've not noticed such behaviour before I made it CM7.2 and back then I use little of my Aria.
No one has any ideas? Is this by default since aria has always been said to have a problem with its multi touch.

Maybe a bad digitizer? What about a clean install?

Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask if you have the same problems with the lockscreen when you want to take a call? A few
minutes ago I received a phonecall and of course I had to unlock the phone first. Everytime it's a real adventure
to answer the telephone. I have to slide my finger two or three times over the screen to remove the lockscreen
and take the call. But who might think that would be enough... Often the slider hangs at the end after you slid your
finger over the screen. This would be ok, if it unlocks then. But it doesn't. So you wait two seconds and then you
slide your finger over the display again. And finally you can take the call
So my question is, do you have similar issues?
I don't want to make a call in an emergency with this lockscreen
ive found that if the slider hangs, just tap the top of the slide just above/past the slider and it will unlock

Same here.slider hangs just above the bottom part of the screen.but no problems with taking calls...

This happens all the time to me, plus that I have problem with the screen, the touch isn't always recognised at a specific area of the screen, ..not to mention the corners.... I have problem with the half bottom of the screen right in the middle of the unlock arrow..! It makes it hard for me to scroll the internet browser sometimes!
Different had any problems so far, but I have the same problem. I hope they give us the ability to use that custom lock screen security thing without this thing.

Try to tap the home button when sliding is does difficult. Works for me fine than. Only never tried when someone is calling. Dont know why didnt try yet xD

The lock slider on the x10 is a pita.
Thanks for your answers
Good to see that I am not the only one who has problems with this damned
thing. @assangflexx: I don't know if that is such a good idea. I know that
when you make a call and tab the homebutton, the screen switches to your
homescreen. That's exactly what it should do. But since the phone is working
to full capacity during a call it's a pain in the a** to get back to other screen,
where you can end the call...
im having the same problems. but i also have a problem with the thouch when im writing a sms. sometimes it wont press the "A" button and when i press "ALT" sometimes that dosent work and it just inserts a space instead.
Hi, anybody have this issue? Whenever I scroll down the screen while reading page or just scrolling a menu, the down side of the screen turns a light blue due to it running out of space. it gets really annoying while reading and seeing the blue haze come out so often. Its also happened when scrolling to the right/left.
i think the issue come out after installing wave launcher
is it a malfunctioning phone or is this normal?
Thanks!
It's a feature of gb 2.3.5

This is normal. The 2.3.5 rom that I flashed added this, instead of the old bounce effect of 2.3.3. Your phone isn't malfunctioning
If i have my phone in sleep mode, and pass my hand across the screen without touching it - it awakens to the lock-screen sometimes.
Is this usual behaviour? Is there a setting to stop this, or is the phone extremely sensitive?
Thanks.

Touching the screen shouldn't wake up the phone, even if you intentionally touches it.
Maybe you have some proximity sensor controled apps running, don't you ?
Do this test: Try to swipe your hand across the screen, far away from the proximity sensor and see if this happens.
If not, now try the opposite.
Does it take a screen shot when this happens?

if you mean that screen automatically turns on without doing anything, then it refers to a recent buggy installed app.
Could be caused by apps that you installed. Try identify the apps 1st.

I find this when there is a strong breeze across the phone...
Read this somewhere it seems it maybe to do with static discharge. Dunno how true it is it doesn't happen to me. Are you Raiden by any chance?

I've a problem with an s3 where the screen appears to be either too sensitive or not sensitive enough, or just not holding onto the motion of touch. If I go to the system test by dialing *#0*# and doing a touch test you will see gaps appearing in the touch line as attached in photo. I've another s3 showing a continuous line. Is there a way to adjust this motion (in root or not) to cure this?
Driving the the phone user nuts as its becomes a nightmare in web sites and dragging icons around!
The touch on the s3 is amazing, because this is the first phone with a special touch chip inside... i can post links if anyone want, but to lazy atm to search...
I think your unit is a bad prosuction or sth...
Change it...
+1 bad hardware.
Your lucky bro, if they where red dots missing, you'd bricked it

I'm currently using the latest version of clean rom. Lately I have noticed that sometimes when I grab my phone without waking it up, there is kind of a light that comes on towards the top of the screen and it displays missed calls and missed texts the light stays on for a few seconds then fades away by itself. What makes this wierd is I have not been able to force this to happen and sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt. This happens prior to me waking up the phone when the screen is black. I think it might have something to do with a motion sensor. Any ideas on what feature this is.

It's called QuickGlance and can be found under Settings --> Motion. The way to activate it is to reach for your phone while it lies flat, covering the sensors in the top-right corner, you can pull your hand back and it'll show up. Interesting thing, if you use an app that forces auto-rotation, such as rotation locker or what have you, you can get the QuickGlance screen to show up in landscape.
