I've seen many apps that allow you to send sms thru the web to your phone (mightytext, mysms), but are there any apps to send sms from a wifi only mp3 player like the galaxy player? It's almost the same except the web app would be an android app made for the mp3 player. Any help will be appreciated

Hello, I seen on other devices like HTC its possible to view pictures and videos in the default app, and then just choose and DLNA player instead of.
It seems like one must go trough the AllShare app.
Is there any other way? Settings or start using other Apps as default?
It would also be great if one could send videos playing in the browser to a DLNA device.
I am unable to play .wav files on my fascinate. Specifically MajicJack email attachments. I'm sure they used to play. I've read a few places that this was a problem with froyo. Is there any fix/workaround?
You can just download a media player with wav support: I use RockPlayer Lite, as it's free and supports a lot of formats (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.redirectin.rockplayer.android.unified.lite).
IIRC you'll also need to use Gmail's mobile website to download the attachment... the native Gmail app has problems previewing wav's in third-party media players.
I had the same problem on my SGS II (MagicJack files). Use PowerAMP media player, works everytime.
Hi,
I have total recall working on phone and it stores call conversations on phone, the problem is the music player also adds them in available songs
is there any way to restrict music player to look under specific folders only for songs?
or, if there is anyway I Total Recall can store files that cannot be seen by Music app (media scanner)?
To select a certain music folder yourll need a non-stock music player from the market like PowerAmp or something like that.Stock players dont give you much choice. My ROM has a call recorder but it goes where it goes so not much to say there sorry.
Ubermusic supports folder playing;-)

Hi all.
can anyone advise on the best way to edit and/or delete the playlist and genre information that the stock Samsung Music app on the Galaxy S wifi 4.0?
As far as I can tell, this app stores such information (I'm guessing in a database somewhere) but there doesn't appear to be a way to purge said records if mistakes arise.
whilst I'm not using the app, it does seem as if somewhere along the line, the attempt to sync music, etc with the Samsung triggered the app and led to several minor problems with playlists and genres. Now in several other music apps, I appear to have duplicates of playlists as well as genres that only appeared in the Samsung app.
I don't mind if the solution is on the phone or on a desktop, however I'm not running a rooted device and I have no plans to root the device.
Advice gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

I've noticed that all the main features of any music playing on this phone (sharing to other devices, playing with voice commands from S Voice) all use the Samsung Stock music player. (which is actually very good... but I have 100 Gb of music that's all in the cloud, no way I'm gonna fit that actually ON my phone)
Is there any way to get S Voice or the phone in general to consider Google Play Music as the default music player? I can OPEN it with S Voice... but I still have to mess around with the screen. Not much use if I'm driving.
Also, is there anyway to share music from the google one to things like the wireless receiver they brought out? I know you can from the Sammy Music & Video players but wonder if you can from others.
Cheers!
