Apparently your ROM does not support video calling. Nothing much to do about it.

This will be available on any AOSP based ROM. Meanwhile you can try installing Camera.apk from CM9 on the stock ROM.

Get it from the CM9 zip, I don't have it on me.
Already tried it, the apk installs but force closes as soon as you try and run it.

Tricks To Enable HD Voice on SGS2

Hey Ppl
The most people know it´s impossible to change WB ARM status (On/Off), on the Service menu (*#*#197328640#*#*) with ICS and JB.
But this are possible in GB.
But i´ve found a little trick to Enable WB ARM (HD Voice) on SGS2 with ICS or JB.
1. First you should download this file to your mobile, i have attached (Modem LPB and Modem LQ6)
2. Go to recovery menu and first flash LPB.
3. Reboot the phone, and enter this code *#*#197328640#*#*, Go to (7) "WB Arm Status" --> WB AMR Enable (Check the status is On)
4. Now reboot again to recovery menu, and flash LQ6 and reebot.
Now you have HD Voice activeted on SGS2
Doesn't work for me, *#*#197328640#*#* when i type it in, it goes into the dialer again, without doing anything.

Hi,
And do you hear any sound improuvement ?
Thx
Hi,
Am too interested in knowing that does voice quality improve ?? Also does the OP has any idea of how to enable Audio ? This is disabled in S2 ICS Stock.
Also I read in this forum that the settings made in service mode are temp and once the phone reboots the settings are reverted to default is it true ? if so how to make it permanent ?
Regards.

Yes there is a big difference, but there are some requirements:
1. Both partners phones should support HD Voice
2. Your Tele Company should support the HD Voice
3. Both partners need to be on 3G networks (2G and GSM does not work)

Since LPB and LQ6 are Android 4.0.4 modems and your on 4.1.2 that's the reason you cannot flash them. You will need to install a ICS/JB 4.0.4/4.1 Samsung ROM in order to mentioned in the OP.
AOKP ROMs service menu does not work!

Hi, thanks for answer.
And then that means that on SGS2 with Jelly bean is not possible... I don;t know why, because the SGS2 and SGS3 are HD voice compatible and with the same operator (Orange) only the SGS3 have hd voice active.
Its working on my 4.0.4 LPT stock ROM.
Flash the LPB modem, change the setting to "on" and then re-flash my favorite XXLPX and its there.
edit: reboot and it remain "on"

CALL BROKEN after 1 minute on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM's!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I'm a new member :fingers-crossed: and a new noob, that's how you call it here :highfive:
I have a lot of ROM's flashed (ICS and JB).
Maybe I'm the only one with this bug but that's my story:
I tried a few Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM's (NeatRom, NeatRom Lite and Simplistic), but on each ROM I had the same bug, if I receive a call or I'm calling someone after exactly 1 minute the call was broken suddenly!!!!!!
Each time I've done full wipe before flashing and tried to see in the settings if something is wrong but no idea at all.
Now I'm back to the Dilidroid ICS and everything it works well.
Also I tried the Pffitech 1.1.3 JB and it works, so no broken calls after 1 minute.
Does someone had the same bug? Could be a kernel issue?
Or maybe some idea what went wrong?
Now I'm gonna try also JoelDroid S2 2.1 ROM, who knows maybe I have luck and no call issues.
Thank you for your help, appreciated :good:....oh btw, sorry for my poor english
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy GT-I9100
Baseband version:I9100XXLS6
Kernel: 3.0.34-Siyah-v.3.3.24
Build number: Dilidroid ICS R4.1 UHLPS
It would not be a kernal issue, but a modem issue.
Try another modem but do not change the ril or you will have more problems.
There have been reported problems with the modem in certain areas.

Thank you for your reply, what modem would you recommend? Maybe you have a link for me?
Btw, now I'm on JoelDroid S2 XXLSJ V 2.1 ROM and no call crashes at all
But I still want to use Neat Rom Lite, is more customizable but I'm afraid I will have the same call crash.
I will give him a second chance

Your problem has nothing to do with modem version.
I once had this problem which i solved by reunlocking my sim card then i disabled the minute beep in call settings which was the real culprit.

I like the Neat ROM's but I have downloaded the last Lite version 4.0 four times from different places but in the font settings I have only 2 font options, not 5-6 like here, for example there is no cool jazz font
Btw: In the stock Neat ROM (not Lite) the fonts are there.
Maybe someone has an idea why?
I'm the first one who saw this only? Could be but then please give me a link where the Neat Lite ROM has all the fonts option, thx.

Thank you. With the neatrom I tried XXEMG4 modem (I'm not sure but I think) and the problem was present...
Android 4.1.2 official (stock) : OK
Android 4.3 (stock) : problem --> slams at the first call (and only the first call) after the boot.
Android 4.4.2 (different versions tested): no problem with slams but sound quality during a call is bad --> saturation

Weird, never had this sort of problem... Try to insrall lastest Sammy's neatrom and select EMG4 modem in aroma setup. Perhaps you should check the call settings- maybe one of the enabled call features (noise cancelation, etc) are the one to blame
