How to remove the triangle and reset the counter on cm nightly? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I purchased a jig it went to download mode but it didn't remove the triangle or reset the flash counter?

there is an app called triangleaway that should fix it. it did for mine.

Search for the answer. Covered MANY times.

Can i use a jig without returning to stock and that triangleaway app doesn't support i777s wouldn't it brick my phone

If the jig doesn't work, it means you have the newer bootloaders where they patched the jig fix. I purposely downgraded bootloaders because of this.

Triangle Away is for ICS ONLY. If you have 2.3.x, then a jig is the only way as far as I've heard.

If you don't want to use a jig, you better leave the triangle where it is. It won't harm you.

That's correct, TriangleAway is ISC only, and you should not attempt to use it on GB, it could damage your device.
The Rom you linked to is cm9 based I think. If so check out triangle away. READ 1st.

bricking

Any bricking in this section of the gs2?
If you can get into download mode, chances are your phone is not bricked, and hard bricks very rarely happen around here. Please read the topics linked in the sticky, they will help you find this type of information.
Don't flash AT&T leaks and you are basically safe from bricking your phone.
PS. Only flash Roms from this section, or i9100 (hellraiser method).

Lol! He's saying he had an issue by flashing a rom for a T-Mobile version, soft bricked it after that (probably when trying to correct the first mistake and making another), then finally correctly flashed phonebricker and cant be happier.
As for my experience: The first and only time I have rooted and flashed my phone is this gs2. I read the forums for about a week, asked a few questions until I felt confident and re-read most everything I had come across. Needless to say, I am currently enjoying phonebricker! I started with SiYah (kernel), flashed to entropy's dafuq (kernel) and changed the modem to one better suited to my area. I'm happy as can be
Follow the instructions to a T and you should be alright. If you find yourself in a jam, READ, then ask. Seemed to work for me.

The easiest way to get touch recovery is to flash a kernel that has it. If your on ICS, try syiah, neak, or fluxx.

You mean the ONLY way to flash recovery is to install a kernel. You can't flash recovery by itself.

Do not use rom manager or the cwm from there. Our kernels have recovery installed with them.

Any chance that we'll get full touch recovery at some point? Not just gesture controls, but the newer touch recovery with buttons for install, wipe, etc.

[Q] Installed Kernel meant for SII GT-I9100G on my S2 I777

Not a Rom Manager Q~ A few days ago i rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 I777, everything was working fine and I downloaded all the suggested apps. Amongst them was Rom manager, within the app it was mentioned that there was an update for it, I then went ahead with the update which then resulted with my phone not turning on, it was partially bricked. I was still able to go into recovery mode, while there I tried wiping, installing a new rom; everything. Nothing seemed to work. I then searched for a way out of this, I once again placed it in recovery mode and followed a youtube tutorial for its recovery, using odin I place all three files in their proper places; the modem file, ext. The phone sprung back to life to my delight, but unfortunately the recovery pack was made for the Galaxy S II GT-I9100G not the sad AT&T version. So now the light up keys don't work. I have searched everywhere for a recovery pack meant for the S2 I777, but have not succeeded. I need to restore my original backup and with the kernel I am running Kies does not complete the restore.
INFO~
Running: Gingerbread. XXKI3
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKI3-CL577579

Hopefully someone has had a similar problem, and has found a solution if you require any additional information, please let me know.

[Q] how to get the flash counter to 0 + stock kernel

im kind of confused how I can get the flash counter back to 0 without tripping off the flash counter.
triangle away allows me to do this, but it requires ICS + a kernal flash (ive done searched, and the only way i could find to get the phone rooted with ICS = kernal flash). once i do the reset, i have to ODIN it back to stock, which will set off the counter again. any ideas?
