Order and Chaos over 3g 4g no wifi solution - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys I have been a member here for quite some time but never posted, but enough about that I'm here to see if anyone is interested in running order and chaos over your carrier network with no WiFi. I have found a solution that works for me and I must say that its much simpler than I imagined. If any one wants me to post this solution please reply to this thread and I promise if I see enough interest I will post it. Only reason why I don't post it now is my fear of a patch being released to avoid this connection. But if enough people want it I will sacrifice my find and just take a gamble and hope it won't be blocked.
OK since no one has showed interest I guess I'll post anyway.
Go to the play store an download port forwarder and onavo extend. Once you have downloaded the apps, start port forwarder and let it run, then start onavo and run it as well.
Once both apps are running start order and chaos, what happens now is that onavo will allow you to get to your log in screen once you press connect it will start loading but will never start so what you want to do now is long press home and then long press on onavo and click app info, now on onavo press force stop then hit you back button onec you do this you screen will return to order and chaos and continue on to your character select screen.
That's it enjoy playing order and chaos over 3g 4g no WiFi.
Keep in mind this might work on other games or apps that require WiFi.
I can confirm this works on galaxy s2 for T-Mobile running 4.1.2 4.1.1 and 4.0.3
If I helped in any way pleae hit the thanks bottom or feel free to donate.
Enjoy.

Well I'm assuming it gets hot because it is constantly running your data.
I'm glad it worked out for you as well.

Thanks for posting this. Very clever! Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me with OC II. I think that port forwarder needs root to do its job. If you come across an unrooted solution, please let me know.

Ok I got the spb shell apk from another site and it installs and works however since it cant be validated by android market it stops functioning if you hit home key or phone is rebooted...my question is is there a a way to prevent this check?
wait, so you're asking how to steal a paid app (launcher)? good luck with that.

i dont agree with blaque72 but i think $15 for a launcher is obsurd! look at a launcher like launcher pro, $3.50.. im sure spb is nice but not THAT nice.

There is a way to prevent check, however if you want a nice app like this, pay for it. I mean, if you smoke, thats 2 packs. If you drink beer, thats like... a half-rack. (a days worth)...
People from this forums=
5-10% pay for all their apps.
45-60% pay for some/most apps.
the rest dont buy any at all. I've seen you little annoying kids out side the 7-11's... Yes robo defence is awesome, but they just released a cool new update. Too bad you cant get it yet untill someone releases it... Mine was updated yesterday you tool.

nice! someone finally realizes that paying for apps is a waste of money!
I agree....Devs deserve no compensation for making an app......if they want to make money they should go make apps for windows 7...../sarcasm off
Buy the app and you won't have any problems.

[Q] stupid android market

Hello. I had a game from internet called the world of magic 1.1.0 and it worked perfectly on my glaxy 5 i5500 and now they updated it on android market and i cant download it anymore cause now it sais it wont work but it does. Most of the games work on android market that it sais it wont. So Im begging for help or advice what to do cause the game is my favourite. (i hate android market) I think it should be free to download any free game you want and see if it works or not or have the warning that it might not work and you can still download it. What should i do, cause i cant find the 1.1.1 update on google only 1.1.0. It's a free app too so no one has posted it anywhere. I was wondering that maybe Some of you could do the hassle and get me the apk of The World Of Magic 1.1.1 update. or should I somehow contact the game owners? which will take longer i think
I thought you can pay for it and if you change your mind, you have 15 minutes to uninstall to get a refund?
its a free game.. so what refund could i get? XD
Its not the market, on app upload the dev can specify a minimum DPI(ldpi, mdpi or hdpi) to install, so blame the dev.
Sent from... somewhere...
it really does suck. cause i contacted the game devs. they didnt even aprove my post on their forums. Stupid i tell you ... Its like this with most of the games. The games run on my phone but it sais its not compadible i think its cause i have small phone (galaxy 5 i5500)
I've tried rooting the phone or whatever but none of the rooting things work for me. Anyways i read somewhere when you root your phone you can change the name of ur phone so it would say something else for the phone name on the android market.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
The market looks at your dpi in build.prop, which governs the scale of the UI, so putting it above the default is a very bad idea, I tried it once take it from me.
Yes you require root for it though, possibly s-off

Well thats all stupid -.- im starting to hate the fact that I have decent phone and Im not able to download and try apps. The market thing is a fraud people should be able to download whether it works or not and just test themselves.

Wipe data and cache of market app. Then search the game, select it, and while its loading the page the download button is visible, so click it and there you go Well, please be aware that you won't receive any notification for available updates!
I've got the same problem all the time as the default dpi is way to high and makes the whole phone unusable in my opinion

Stolen Prime

Hey all, I need some help.
I left my Prime in the seat back pocket of an airplane and when i immediately went bak on the plane to get it it was gone! I unlocked the bootloader so devicetracker.asus.com isn't helping me at all. I didn't have any other tracking software on my prime.
Any ideas? I have the Serial number and a Device ID from having it sync'd to my work email. HELP! Am I SOL?!
IM bummed for you

Why don't you sign into the google play store, push mobile lookout to your tablet, and see if you can auto track it that way. I'm not sure if you have to setup the app first which would make this procedure pointless, but worth a shot.
Good idea. Call me stupid, how do i do that?

Lookout sign in, and press INSTALL. Better hope it has an active WIFI signal else it won't install until it does.
Give this a try. It works fine with my phone, and It's perfect for your case:

You know, thats a very good idea, but i think you need to setup lookout on your prime the first time you install to set up tracking, last time i checked that is, I think that goes for all apps,
I think a developer would make killing if they managed to create an app that can do what you suggested
Edit: Never mind, thanks victorvasconcelos ^^^
Hope someone figures something out for you OP, because thats a damn shame, good luck
Some advice as an aircraft mechanic.
You're not getting it back.
Android Lost is another great app for this type of situation. You can push it to your Prime via tha Play store website and then use the Android Lost web interface to hide the app from your Lapp draweraking it harder to notice and uninstall.
Also from the Android Lost web interface you can force the device to take photos using either camera which will then be emailed to an address of your choice. It can also track the device via GPS and you can lock and password protect the device remotely. Of course all of this requires an active data connection, but it is pretty useful.

None of those will work if the person who nabbed it has wiped it or changed the google account on it.
I hope you get it back, but as one that left a palm pilot in a seat from a 13hr flight from Japan, I do not see good luck in your future for this.
Lookout won't work even if you install it through PC. You would still have to once downloaded run it and sign up/activate it all. There's no other way since you didn't prepare your tablet for the worse case scenario. Consider it gone

Lookout has an app called Plan B. Install it from the Play Store from your PC, and it will auto activate when it finally downloads. It will attempt to locate itself and send you the coordinates to your GMail account. Of course Wifi has to be active, and connected to a network, and the precision of the location is dependant on how good your GPS is, or how many WiFi networks it can see.
As for the Asus Device Locator, boot unlocker does not disable this, only a non-Asus Rom will. I am running a rooted .21 stock ROM on my unlocked Prime, and I can locate my device on the Asus site. If you have stock ROM and the device locater will not connect, its possible the WiFi is off and/or the Prime has no data connection to any Wifi network. The nice thing about the locator is that if it is found, you can activate the "ringer", which on the prime just makes it emit a loud sound. Handy if you are in the area of the device. I have not tested remote wipe nor lock device.
maybe a stupid question but.....
I don't think you mentioned this and this may be a stupid question but Have you gone to the airport or airline to see if someone turned it in to lost and found?

Possible, but lets assume that their an android noob for now, what i'd be concerned about is whether they have a charger or not, as you'll probably have to wait until they get round to charging it before you can do something, OP should take that into account if hes not getting a reply
Question, do you have a credit card saved on your playtore or anything, if so did you set up keylock?

Plan B was already linked on 1st page, as for Plan B I have personally tried it after READING it on the 1st page. My Prime is in a office GPS is on connected to our wifi and multiple wifi's around. Plan B installed but no e-mails after 10min so far. I think it relies too much on GPS for location, as it seems to be designed more for phones with cell coverage.
"After you install it, Plan B will start locating your phone using cell towers and GPS. On some phones, Plan B can switch GPS on automatically. Your location will keep updating for 10 minutes."
So you can try Plan B but don;t count on it as I am sitting next to my prime with Plan B on it and I have no idea where it is?
Also as I stated before if the gmail account has been removed or changed, you are not getting any software pushed from the play store onto your tablet.

I disagree, always prepare for the worst.
Forget the account begin removed, Tablet taken stuck in workers locker, driven home then turned on, Chance of an open wifi not good.
Plan B does not seem to work well on prime from my experience so far.
If the person who nabbed it is stupid enough to take it hook it up to their own home wifi and start messing with it before wiping it, they deserve to get caught.
I hope for the best, but I do not see it working out that easy. It would have been easier if it were a phone or if the software was on there from the start.
Good luck and keep us posted.
I would stick with Asus Device Locator as long as you were running a stock ROM. A wipe can't change the serial number. If the unit is off, has Wifi off, or is in an area with no wifi, none of these other apps are going to work anyway.
The sad news is that without Wifi, the Prime could never report is location even if a locator app was on it running.
The good thing about the asus devicetracker is that even if they remove your Google account or factory reset the device you can still track it.

Step 2: Register your phone
Simply start the program. Thats it! If you don't have your phone nearby, you may remotely start the app by sending an SMS with the text "androidlost register" to your mobile.
From their website, looks like you need to have had it pre-installed, or a sms capable setup.
Shame, i really want this guy to find his prime, dramas killing me ..........huh, oh, i mean, sorry for your loss
Gd luck
OP: You might to change the subject to 'lost prime' instead of 'stolen prime'.
Must feel terrible to realize you left your prime on the airplane. Almost as terrible as stealing a tablet only to realize it isn't an ipad.

Out of bandwidth. Someone else host it as well please? Dropbox maybe?
this works on my rooted gt n7000
asks me for permission I deny and bam it works
on my non-rooted nexus 7
I followed the same directions and after logging in it asks me to update my version and that it's too old
do I need to be rooted for this to work ?
Can we get a modified app which will let us use external displays?
Amazing!! Thank god!
I am so happy, im sitting here watching sports center on my Tablet (Zenithink C93 ZTPad)
When I tried to use live TV feature with the App in google play it says that my device is not supported. This one works perfect on my 10" tablet.
now im really happy. because this is much nicer to watch on than my 4.5" phone screen.
The next thing I need to figure out is how I can watch the optimum app on the road. (not on my home router). They say to use VPN, I can see that working, however Id like a simpler option, if at all possible.
Anyone have any ideas?
Finally Cable vision releases it! Two years late...lol
Inserted 20ยข for the first three minutes
uh oh.... problem
So it works fine when u install and run it first time. once u close out of the app and restart it goes back to saying "not supported". Why is this? is there anything we can do to make this work. I think it might be VERY inconvienent to constantly uninstalling/reinstalling everytime i have to open and close this app.
any suggestions ppl?
EDIT:: Ok i didnt read thoroughly the first post. that i have to clear the data everytime. i guess that will have to do then. not the most inconveient scenario. i just wish optimum didnt have to be such a **** about it. they obviously have some sort of kickback from Apple because they have supported apple devices including ipad for years before the Android version was released.
and considering the EARLIEST android version of optimum app works fine with my tablet, it is obvious they are holding us back on purpose.

I think you're right, it's server based as it runs in real time whether you're in the game or not.
I have an issue though.. I have two devices and would love to have the game running on both.. the phone during the day and a tablet in the evening.. does anyone know where the account info is?, if I can copy the account data from my phone to the tablet (or vice versa) I could play from the last saved place each time.
Any thoughts?
I'm actually checking into this as well, as far as I can tell its in the root folder data/data/ea.comsimpsonsblahblahbl I can confirm that the "other" town is the files in save folder because I deleted them and now I force close ONLY when visiting other Springfield.

Search for "Game Killer" its like game CIH and game guardian but actually works, if you need a tutorial you'll have to wait until I'm home from work lol

i'll try that game killer..
Just reset mines last night, you have to wipe everything and reflash your rom. Seem like the file that connect our phone to their server is hidden some where. And for whoever uses GameKiller cheats, before you close the game, make sure you buy the "Homer Buddha" until you get more Donuts.
on my galaxy s3 i just uninstalled and re-installed the game and my data was gone easy

I had figured out how to work Game killer, but when I went to the alternate universe, my donuts went back down to 2, I thot I had saved the hex addresses to go back to but its not there, any way u know the hex addresses I would need to change the donuts field for?
I actually had the same problem, tried a lot to find it again as well, what did work though was I bought a crap load of land in game and just spam bought dumpsters for 1000$ as they give you exp to lvl up the fastest, lvl up = donuts((to raise search value higher again, I recommend 5 donuts or above.))

Gamekiller download
Hi, can any of you link to the gamekiller apk please? I'm can't find it to download from anywhere I trust!
Also a tutorial on how to use it with the Simpsons tapped out would be great.
Thanks
There is also a modded apk floating around out there, I'm sure if you use Google you can find it.
The real trick is how do you reload your current world after reflashing a rom? I think a hard reset also disconnects you from your current world. The game server must have some way of identifying your phone, the phone name maybe?
That should allow you to play on multiple devices too. If you could figure out what the severs look for to identify your device.
has anybody found out how to put an old simpsons game onto a new phone?
I.e. i have a long gaming going on my old phone but i want to transfer it to my new phone.
My old phone is rooted and i find a file in .android_secure
new phone isnt rooted so cant access that folder to copy into it, if thats the right folder.
Not possible at all - it's linked to your device's hardware.
