Welcome to Fourth Bar: Infusion! Infusion is a Rom based on Sense 3.6 for stability but replicates the Google Nexus experience! You won't even be able to tell that Sense is on your phone! This is the old Jellybean Fusion Rom, but in its new RC1 state. Not only does RC1 bring more stability, the system is now blazing fast and incredibly smooth!
Built with Aosp Google features, speed, and smoothness in mind!
Fourth Bar: Infusion
(A full system, cache, and dalvik cache wipe is required. Not doing so may result in problems.)

(Note: Almost all Sense 3.6 has been removed. Some sense apps won't work right.)

See Notes to turn it off.
This Rom utilizes the OTA Update Center in order to provide simple and easy updates to your phone. When an update is ready for your phone, you will be presented with a notification letting you know. If you see on the forum that there has been an update but you haven't received a notification, simply reboot your phone to force a check.

Before you install
Make sure you have updated to ICS through the RUU
Make sure you backup your system first
Wipe the System, Cache, and Dalvik Cache
After Install
Be sure to set the Ringtone of your choosing on first boot!
If using the Jellybean Lockscreen follow this to avoid double lock issue
Settings > Security > Screen Lock > None
There are going to be two Fc's at the first boot only.
One when initially turning on Wifi, and the other after signing into a Google account.
These are simply because of the massive slimming down process and are perfectly normal.

I always think its very important to let people know what the Idea is behind a project, even if it is just a Rom. There are decisions made in creating this that I feel people should know about. First off, the goal of this project is to replicate the look and functionality of a pure Google Nexus phone. Basically instead of porting the Android Open Source Project to the Amaze this Rom takes our very stable Sense 3.6 and strips it down and adds in the Aosp functionality and look. The Aosp keyboard, 4.1 Launcher, Google Now, 4.1 Ringtones, and Google Ears have all been included for this reason.
So you might be wondering why most of the Google "Play" apps are pre-installed. This is done very intentionally as all the apps that come on Fourth Bar: Infusion are found on a stock Galaxy Nexus new out of the box.
If you are familiar with the old Jellybean Fusion Rom then you will know that the Aroma Installer is a new touch. This was added to give users the ability to slightly modify the system to their specific needs while still maintaining the goal of the Rom. Take Apex Launcher for example. While it is faster than the stock 4.1 Launcher it can require quite a bit of setup and the functionality can stray from that of the Stock 4.1 Launcher. By using the installer, the user can determine what kind of experience is best for them.
HoloLocker (Jellybean Lockscreen)
While the Jellybean lockscreen adds to the Jellybean feature list, some people may not like it. If you are a gamer, Hololocker can cause multi-touch issues while playing games. Also if you wish to use a security lock or the normal Ice Cream Sandwich lockscreen then during installation please select the Ice Cream Sandwich lockscreen. You can also disable the HoloLocker by freezing it with titanium backup.
There is no Wifi-Calling on this Rom
If you need Wifi Calling, you can use this package to turn it on permanently. Thanks to EclipzeRemix for putting that package together. Make sure and go to one of his threads and thank him!
The Only Complete and Stable Aosp Experience for the Htc Amaze
It has been a long time coming but I believe the Aosp theming has finally been completed. Infusion is the only Rom for the Htc Amaze that replicates the Aosp Experience while still maintaining stability. If you can't wait to get your hands on Cm9 and Cm10 but need data, then this is the Rom for you!
If you enjoy my work, please hit the THANKS button!

Looks very nice! Is the status bar fixed?
How does is compare to SpeedRom?
Amazing Rom so far so good
Looks great! I'm about to try. Thank you!
Great Rom!
As for the reception bar does not show, I used Widgetsoid to showed the reception info on my screen.
One small bug, the weather showing up in the Google Now cards in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, and this is not a Rom's bug but rather Google Now's though.
To fix this:

You must first have Google Now "ENABLED" in order for the fix to work.
1. Go to Setting in your Google Now and enable it on the top left hand corner and choose "Yes I'm In"
2. Now, go to Settings on the lower right hand corner gain.
3. Then you will get an option for "Weather" under Google Now that is not listed while Google Now is not enabled. Then go into the Weather Settings and make sure "Weather units" is set to Fahrenheit.
4. Do a search for a weather temperature for whatever city you choose to verify it shows up as Fahrenheit.
5. Now you can go back and disable Google Now if you choose to. From then on, you will get Fahrenheit to show up for weather inquires....

They both great and each has it's own advantage.
wifi-calling? if so can you send/receive mms over it? thanks!
Used Speedrom 7.8 prior to Fourth Bar Infusion, and while Speedrom is a fantastic rom, Fourth Bar has already exceeded my expectations.
Ringtones actually work, I'm not sure why eclipse calls 7.8 a stable release, no ringtones is a deal breaker and makes the rom useless as a daily driver. Again, this rom does have ringing when someone calls or texts! Aroma is great, and is calibrated perfectly. The aosp theme is professionally done, and doesn't seem quickly thrown together like in other roms that I will not mention.
Jelly bean status bar is great, and the lack of signal bars is not a deal breaker, its not a big deal at all.
Best aosp I've used to date. Battery seems great so far, will update later. I am noticing some minor lag while typing this notice but that's it.
Thanks craigtut!

Don't think Wifi calling is present in this Rom, but, I'm not sure. Would rather await for Craig's confirmed.
MMS work fine for me when sending to my self.

There is no Wifi-Calling on this rom. Though installing the Enable wifi calling mod in Speed Rom forum "Should" turn it on permanently.
Google Now + Sign - In Errors
I really enjoy this and the previous iteration of this ROM, however, I've had a few annoying issues with Google Now. For instance, every time it tried to initiate, I get "Sign-in error for XXX account" in the notification tray. When I select one of the affect accounts (which is every one of the Google accounts enabled on the phone), I'm taken to a screen stating "Couldn't sign in: A problem occurred while communicating with Google servers. Please try again later". I'm at a loss as how to fix this, as those same Google accounts sync mail, contacts, calendars, and all numbers of things without network issues. Ideas? Fixing permissions, reinstalling, and wiping all sorts of caches and dalviks has no effect on this issue—I've tried.

I've encounter that bug as well but it didn't stop syncing, it just appear on the status bar and once I swiped it away, rather than clicking on it. It never came back.
Did you check to see if your account is indeed, syncing without any problem ?

Go on your PC and launch Google Chrome.
Check if you are sign in (right side menu).
I have that problem as soon as I log in with Chrome.
If that doesnt fix, try reinstalling, but dont install Google+. That was the trouble app for me

I have checked if the accounts are syncing, and there are no errors mentioned in Accounts & Sync portion for any of my Google accounts. This error occurs only when accessing Google Now and only in this ROM (and the previous beta). I've been running Sport's CM10 for the past two days and Google Play worked without a flaw.

Well to start, CM10 has the official Google Now. This has a ported Google Now. So it sounds like something in your account settings with Google is messing things up and I have no idea what it could be. Another thing to try is this updated version. I found it drained battery a little more and put out notifications right after the user would clear them. But it might work?

## FAQ Updated
v3.0 universal(15/OCT/11)
Initial Universal Release
FAQ:
Do I need to or will it Wipe Data ?
NO, it can be installed easily on your stock/custom MIUI Rom.
I have to place some icons myself like Radio icon, blah blah blah..
As this MOD is developed on Vibrant. You may need to move your ass and do place 1-2 icons yourself wherever you like. Else send me one I9000.
What kernel are you using in this??
NO kernel included in this mod. It is always recommended to flash desired kernel before this MOD to ensure tweaks remain intact. Recommended to set max freq to 1000MHz for better battery life.
My icons seems misplaced?
This happens when internal update takes place. Place it back in respective folder.
My widget disappeared, what do I do next?
Nothing. Keep data connection on. And give a reboot.
It will appear. If not remove and re-add by long press.
The Live Wallpaper provided goes into half loaded state on each homescreen, what do I do?
Nothing, it will fix itself. However, if you want quick fix.. use Auto Killer and Kill all apps.
Is this available for or Can I use this for <some other> phone?
You can always try Universal Version.
I am not getting theme applied, no maps, no custom apps??
Definitely, you didnt followed STEP 4 of mounting data, datadata, system, sdcard.
I am getting <some weird> problem??
If you followed and read OP carefully. Be calmed, you did nothing wrong.
The problem you facing is most probably from source MIUI ROM. This MOD only intends to add more functionality.

so its like theme mod? is there any requirements for the miui ROM? i mean like before 10.14 or after
Guys don't flash this yet. I'm the reason it's here, and it is not ready for our phones yet.
OP, I told you this wasn't working, I'm sorry for my initial positive pm but this definitely will not work for our phones. It causes an android.phone FC which as far as I can tell is because it has a build.prop from the vibrant. I couldn't find anything else that would cause the error I got in my report. So once you fix that it should be ready... until then nobody try this unless you make nandroids first and just want to doublecheck.

yep. I had actually approached the dev asking if he could port it to our phones a few days ago and he told me to try that which didn't work for me. I got the reports sent out and figured out it was killing the cdma radio somehow, giving a stack exception when trying to connect.

This is a ICS Sense Rom based off of the latest ICS Global OTA. It was created for those who enjoy the stock look of ICS Sense 3.6 but would like to do some moderate debloating, speed things up a bit, and hopefully gain back some battery life. I have done just that and removed a good deal of Verizon apps. Also, if it is an app that can be downloaded from the Play Store, I have removed it as well. Additionally, I have tossed in a semi working but usable version of s-voice and every sound from the Samsung galaxy s3, a wifi tether most compatible with our phone, tweaks, power saver settings menu, roaming guards and a working Google sound widget.
This is basically what I feel Verizon should have released as a rom for our Rezounds... In a Official Provider Rom kinda way.
Guys, I built this entirely on my Rezound using my base, root explorer, files, and andFTP in all of just this 1 day. As I mentioned, it's for stock lovers who want debloat, tweaks, and mods.
In time, I will also be releasing a developer's edition of this just as I had with NeoMAX (Adrenaline). It will be a project dedicated to delivering the smoothest most battery saving sense 3.6 rom yet. So being on the lookout for it sometime next week because it's coming
Here are the following tweaks/mods you have to look forward to in this release:
deodexed

Several init.d tweaks for speed, battery, and smoothness

For the time Being I will Be hosting these files on my Site, AndroidRevolutions.com and mirroring them on Android File Host's Beta site.
Since it has become a hassle for some to have to go to my personal android website to download the file, I've decided to go ahead and provide the direct link here
Just come visit my site and sign up sometime? AndroidRevolutions.com
What I still intend to do:
*Add a Gingerbread patch to the Downloads Section to make it Older Firmware Compatible
*Upload an S-On version of the rom (most people who have flashed the newer RUU's can flash this even S-on!)
*remove any more unnecessary files
Let me know of any bugs that may be in it (aside from "personalize" (sense) option under settings.
If you like my work, donations are always accepted!
You can also help by joining my New Android Site at AndroidRevolutions.com!

Changelogs, Downloads, FAQs
Simplistic 3.0:
*COMPLETELY re-based on the global build so you DEFINITELY "should" clean wipe and clean flash.
*Rebuilt from the ground up over a few hours so it's basically a completely different rom but keeping the same name.
*Tones have been geared more towards the soft sgs3 tones so they are all defaults. I have a sounds package for those who want all 4 hundred and something in post 2.
*At the moment, Tweaks, and 1 % battery fix are not present as it will take some hackery to get them to work with the new build.. Coming soon!
Comes with the latest kernel for you S-off folks
*Comes with the 2nd to latest Maps (Newest released causes issues. Yet to test myself. May work fine on this Global Build)
*Still comes with Google now
*already came with latest everything including the adreno drivers
*re-implemented the Bravia Mod
*Let me know if anything else is missing or broken! I didn't touch anything media related so all social networks and sync issues present before "should" be gone.
*Removed init.d tweaks for now until further testing has completed.
Simplistic 2.0:
*3.14.605.12 base changes merged
*Fully functional Google Now (without workaround)
*Fully functional Jelly Bean voice search merged
*AOSP Caller i.d. Fix/workaround
*Updated Latin browser
*Removed SonyXLoud mod for audio quality.
*Removed S-Voice Mod and files since Google Now is merged (freed up around 50mb)
*Increased the WiFi scan interval from the already tweaked 180 to 240 for better battery life
*Removed the build.prop tweaks for increased screen responsiveness for added battery life
*modified max events to 150 to save battery life
***CLEAN WIPE/FLASH REQUIRED***
NeoMAX: Simplistic 1.1:
*Fixed the missing wifi toggle problem.
*Fixed the friendstream problem by adding back all of the social networks. (let me know if it is still broken)
*deleted a few more files and fixed a fex minor bugs.

*****MAKE SURE TO MATCH MD5! I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH*****
Flashing RUU's is the ultimate way to brick your device if done incorrectly. Make sure you know what you're doing before you attempt this. At the moment, the files is named GlobalRuuPH98IMG.zip. You will need to delete the "GlobalRuu" part of the name and place that file on the root of your sd card when you're ready.
As usual, the only person to be held accountable for anything you do to your phone is yourself.
May the force be with you.. and stuff.

The Following is a list of questions that I have been asked across all of my roms. Some may apply to this rom, some may not.
Q: "How do I configure wireless tether to work properly?"
A: "Tap menu, then settings.
Change the Device profile to HTC Resound
Change the Setup Method to Netd (master)
Enabling WiFi Encryption is your choice, however, I would recommend it (password protect your hotspot!)
Enabling the encryption will allow you the next option of creating a password for your network.
Changing the SSID is the name of your network hotspot that you want to show as an available network.
You can enable access control if you like but it is not necessary.
Scroll all the way down and check off "Enable routing fix"
That's it! Ready to go."
Q: "Battery percentages do not match what the system shows when power is low or what is showing on the statusbar or lockscreen. Can we fix this?"
A: "This is a known HTC issue and there is not a fix for it at the moment. Your best bet would be to stick with the lowest percentage the system indicates is the remaining power for your battery. There is a 1% battery mod that attempts to give a more accurate reading but it doesn't always work."
Q: "Is this for CDMA only or can we GSM users use this rom?"
A: "I have conveniently included a GSM patch built specifically for this particular rom ONLY and is listed in the Downloads section of post #2 which will enable full functionality of my rom on your network"
Q: "Weather syncing is not working and ends in a force close. Is there a fix?"
A: "I have removed all weather functionality of the rom but I created a flashable zip to add back the missing elements to make it work for you. This zip is located in post #2 of my downloads section"
Q: "Does this ROM suffer from choppiness of the homescreen like many others?"
A: "The choppiness of the homescreen is due to the default settings within Apex Launcher. Users can tweak their individual homescreen transition and scrolling settings to fine tune it's performance to their liking and nearly do away with any lag or choppiness resulting from the preset. A good first start would be to change the wallpaper scrolling to fixed"
Q: "Is this rom for S=OFF ONLY people, or can we S=ON people flash your rom?"
A: "At the moment, I have not created a rom specifically for S=ON flashing. However, if you are on the last few ICS firmware and have the last couple kernels released from the leak, you should be just fine. If you were on an older ics firmware, you will need to flash the kernel's provided in ZHP Pilot's first couple posts after flashing the rom. You will then reboot into hboot where you will need to follow the directions and flash the kernel"
Q: "I am still on Gingerbread firmware. Is this rom old firmware friendly? If not, will the Gingerbread patch I have from another rom work with yours?"
A: "It is not old firmware friendly. However, you can use a Gingerbread Patch from another rom yes. If you do not have one, for the time being it should be listed in the first couple posts by ZHP Pilot. You will also need to make sure you flash the ICS kernel listed in the FAQ above this one"
Q: "In order to use the rom previous to yours, I had to flash the Gingerbread patch. Now that I have flashed your rom, I get thses reboots every 15 seconds. Why is this happening?"
A: "Since you are on the older firmware, you are going to have to flash this patch each and every time you switch to a newer fimrware rom. That will fix the issue"
Q: "I flashed your rom but while I'm on it, it reboots after about 20 seconds every time it gets back to the rom. Why is it doing this?"
A: "You are on the old Gingerbread Firmware or not on an ICS firmware new enough. Either RUU your way to the latest leak or use a Gingerbread patch"
Q: "What is a 5-Point lock?"
A: "It is an AOSP lockscreen that allows for 5 different preset shortcuts to be displayed in the lock ring"
Q: "Is there any way to change the shortcuts to other apps on the 5-point AOSP lockscreen?"
A: "Yes, but you will need to pm xjacobx your request. Be patient however as he is rarely on-line and very busy"
Q: "Can the Nav bar be enabled?"
A: "Yes, but you will need to pm xjacobx your request to make it work. Be patient however as he is rarely on-line and very busy"
Q: "I downloaded the rom but want to make sure it downloaded properly before I attempt to flash it. Everyone keeps telling me to check my md5 but I'm not sure how to do it"
A: "Here is a link to the Free md5 checker/generator that I use: http://www.winmd5.com/. Use that to compare the string of code with that of what I have listed for the rom download. If you can not use this app, you can also view the md5 on your phone via a root browser like root explorer by checking the properties of the zip.
Q: "I'm getting a force close when trying to load a live wallpaper. Is there a fix?"
A: "Not as of yet but I will try to figure it out and provide a flashable of files that I may have deleted in error"
Q: "I can't get music controls to show on the lockscreen. Is there a fix?"
A: "The only way to get the music controls to show on the lockscreen is if you chose to use an app called "Mixzing Free" or choose to use the sense lockscreen instead of my aosp one. The native player will not work on any aosp lock screens (for now). The flashable for the time being for the sense lock is in ZHP's first couple posts"
Q: "I am done with apex launcher and want my sense one back. How can I add it back to your rom?"
A: "There is a flashable and for the time being, it will be in ZHP's first couple posts"
Q: "Although the inverted apps are cool and all, they really make me dizzy. Is there a way I can go back to the stock versions?"
A: "Yes. For now, the flashable zip to restore all non inverted apps are in the first couple posts by ZHP Pilot"
Q: "I'm having issues with my PlayStore/FaceLock/(Insert Google app name here)... Is there any way to fix it?"
A: "Yes. Just flash these gapps: gapps-ICS-04/29/2012"
MD5: 7c524e1e078164f681e0aa6753180b2c
Q: "Which gapps are safe to flash on this rom?"
A: "I would suggest only flashing the latest ICS gapps for any of my roms as listed in the question above"
Q: "Is there any way to make the caller i.d. show up without having to unlock the phone?"
A: "Yes, but it is a workaround and you will not be able to use the lockscreen that comes with the rom. Download "Holo Locker" from the app market. That is the workaround everyone is using and gives you the Jelly Bean lockscreen"
Q: "Does "Google Now" work with this rom? If so, does the voice portion work also?"
A: "Yes google now works. No, the voice portion does not. However, if you can find it, there is a voice workaround called "Voice Search for Google Now!" that when you select the voice option, it will open your native voice to text and insert the spoken text for you. Simply clicking enter after that should get your results. It was once in the app market but was pulled. If you search hard enough, you will find it"
Q: "The Auto brightness toggle/manual settings always go back to the default before I toggled them when I lock my phone. Is there a fix?"
A: "No. This is a known issue on every rom that uses the Tweaks App. This toggle is only good for while the screen is rom. To make the effect last after screen lock however, you will need to go into System Settings/Display/Brightness and change the settings there"
Q: "How do I activate the Beats Mod or the SonyXLoud mod?"
A: "You don't. They are already active"
Q: "Every time I try to select the Personalize option under settings, I get a force close. Will there be a fix for this in the future?"
A: "Eventually yes. By completely removing it. Personalize is a sense function and because I have removed most of the sense elements from this rom, it force closes. So it needs to be removed"
Q: "What is this power Saver function under toggles? I turn it on but nothing happens... How do I make it effective now and what does it do? Also, I noticed you have an app that allows me to tweak the options for Power Saver but I still can't make it take effect."
A: "The power saver option only kicks in when the battery reaches a low percentage and can not be changed. I believe it is somewhere in the range of 30% and below when it goes active. The settings app allows you to tweak what it does once it activates. Power saver functions however will not activate whent he battery reaches critical if you have it turned off in toggle"
Q: "Do you have plans on adding an AOSP mail or mms app?"
A: "Not until certain issues are worked out. The AOSP mail breaks some exchange network functionality and the AOSP mms breaks media messaging like pictures/sound/video"
Q: "I read that you included the Google Sound Search (Google Ears) app in your rom but I can't find it?"
A: "It is a widget. long press your homescreen, select widget, and you will find it"
Q: "I flashed your rom and my phone gets really hot after a while. In fact, Ive noticed it on all the newer roms lately. What could be causing it and how can I attempt to fix it?"
A: "Make sure you have updated your radio to the latest available and then flash the 2nd to latest kernel. This combination has been known to have the best rom performance for all my roms and decreased heat"
Q: "Does this rom have the DIM LED mod?"
A: "Yes and it can be accessed in the tweaks app with most of the available tweaks on this rom"
Q: "When I turn the wifi on, it gets stuck in the "turning on" mode but never comes on. Why is it doing this and how can I fix it?"
A: "The kernel has been installed incorrectly or is not latest enough for the rom. You will need to flash the latest kernels in hboot. This will solve the problem"
Q: "Does this rom include an AD Blocker?"
A: "It does not as it interferes with some market apps that require it. You can however download several free ad blockers from the play store"
Q: "Do you have plans to add Aroma to your roms?"
A: "I may in the future yes"
Q: "I see you included a version of S-Voice that actually works with our Rezound. However, trying to set an alarm, launch calendar or music app, etc ends in a force close. What gives?"
A: "This is due to the fact that S-Voice is a SGS3 exclusive and the built in functions that have it search for the app you want to launch are looking for other exclusive samsung apps like S-Calendar or S-Music etc. The app would need to be hacked to change the default apps it searches for"
Q: "Does Bluetooth work with this rom?"
A: "Yes"
Q: "My gallery is not showing my pictures nor is my the Latin player showing my music. How do I fix this?"
A: "You just need to clear the cache on those apps and it will solve the problem"
Q: "Can fonts be changed in the tweaks app?"
A: "No, not with the tweaks app"
Q: "I use the Navigation app all the time to get me from point A to point B but it is not in this rom nor can I find it in the market. How can I get it back?"
A: "The navigation app (Blue Chevron for the icon) is actually part of the Google Maps app. Re-Download Google Maps and you will have your Navigation app back"
Q: "I noticed on most roms anything I download goes to the internal memory under the downloads folder. How can I change this to where downloads will go to my sd card's download folder?"
A: "There is a way to do it although I'm unsure of how at the moment. However, if you can change the default downloads folder in tapatalk or the xda app to "Downloads" and anything downloaded through those apps will go to that folder on your sd card"
Q: "I noticed your tweaks force GPU rendering instead of harware rendering. This conflicts with a few games I play and won't allow me to play them until I change it. If it's possible, where would I go to change that?"
A: "It is possible and is as easy as unchecking the option listed under system apps/developer options/Force GPU Rendering"
Q: "My clock doesn't stay hidden or centered when setting it to in the tweaks app. Is there a fix for this?"
A: "No. It is a problem with the tweaks app and there is no fix at the moment for it"
Q: "Everyone else is reporting amazing battery life but mine drains incredibly fast. What can I do to fix this?"
A: "Ensure that you are on the latest radio (1.22.10.0424r, 1.22.10.0424r) 2nd to latest kernel (3.0.14) and that you have no background apps that are using major resources constantly running. Also, make sure to tweak your screen properties/setting as the screen takes up a great deal of power"
Q: "Will there be any way to add switchable equilizers in your rom?"
A: "You can download them yourself. You will have to disable Beats however to use them"
Q: "Every now and then when I toggle bluetooth, it will lock up and not turn on. How do I fix it?"
A: "Reboot"

Yessss I've Bering waitng for this. Best of.both worlds. I love you man

Thanks guys. I am in no way a Sense fan but I need to appease everyone right? This rom isn't "epic" by my standards but what I feel Verizon should have released as the stock rom for our phones. Let me know of any bugs or issues. I've tested it a bit but not thoroughly.
Please keep in mind that if you are coming from Adrenaline or NeoMAX this will feel like a dinosaur lol
That's why I plan to release a speed sense version soon so I can like sense again

Thank you for this! I've tried a bunch of ROMs and some bugs just annoy me. I enjoy the stock least bug-less experience.

Thanks for the release as I said. While i love the development of the ROMs you and others have made, I still keep coming back to stock rooted becuase it's the least buggy. While i have been a stock fanboy for a long time, I've grown to like Sense's widget's as well. I really like the Calendar, Friend Stream and Tasks widgets. I love them in Sense 4.0, but for me Sense 4.0 ROMs drain my battery almost twice as fast which isn't worth it to me.

Well then perhaps this of my three would be best suited for you Don't try to use friend stream until you have downloaded and logged into a social network app since I removed them all.

One request if you plan on update. Please remove the cross-hairs icon. I freakin' hate it. Also I talked to zhp pilot about this briefly, but there's a mod in One XxX I believe that turns your battery icon into an actual percentage reading (without any battery icon) the text looks similar to the clock text in white. zhp said he might do a mod to be able to flash this to a ROM, I'd still like this if it's possible to do this.
NEO! Too much Roms bro definitely gonna flash this one and run it. You've got a little something for everyone.

Thank you for this rom, like it clean and simple without a loss of any functioning also if you don't mind me asking, what is the md5 of the file?

I can't get FriendStream to work. First thing I did when booting up the ROM is downloaded Facebook and signed into that, then I go to add the account to Friend Stream and it keeps closing the menu of FriendStream out.
Has anyone else experienced not being able to dismiss alarms? It seems like it happens to me on every sense 3.6 based ROM, this included. And it's totally random. I use my phone as my alarm and most days it works. Some days, I never get the popup to snooze/dismiss. I can't stop it from the notification pulldown. Even unchecking it in the clock app does nothing. I have to turn the phone off to stop it, and it continues to play during the whole shutdown process. I'm baffled.
As good a place as any to post this.
Pio-masaki.com is being shut down due to a Cease and Desist order sent against the host by Google and homeland security. I have no idea why, however until this is sorted out, and to avoid any possible or further legal issues, the site is down for a period of time that can be a day or forever. This includes any and all ROMs, kernels, gapps packages, for any and all devices, that were hosted on pio-masaki.com.
I apologize in advance for this as I know some ROMs are only available at pio-masaki.com, but it is out of my hands, the host has to consider their own safety, and has my 100% agreement and backing in taking down the site until the matter is resolved.
As this is a very large matter, and one that has us incredibly scared, I'm retreating from android for the time being, until I know what it was that I did that was illegal, and may return once this is cleared up and blows over.
After this is cleared up the hosting for pio-masaki.com may still remain offline as the hoster has some personal issues with me at this point and may or may not continue to host for me, should we resolve our differences it may return.
If by some chance Google or whoever sent the C&D notices this, I urge you to contact me as I was responsible for what was hosted, and would genuinely like to know what the issues are so we can get them resolved immediately.
I will be making similar postings or editings to any other ROM threads that link to pio-masaki.com.
NOTE this is discontinued, please see the official builds.

Please clean flash this, there's so many extra settings that dirty flashing will likely cause problems. If you dirty flash, please don't report any issues until you flash clean and the issue occurs again!
Please use a proper 4.2.2 Gapps package, using inversed or any modded versions can and likely will cause issues, please use the current 4.2.2 from goo.im, if you use inverted or modded Gapps, please don't report issues until you clean flash with a proper package from goo.im!
If you are not S-OFF you will need to extract the boot.img and flash it separately, either flashGUI or fastboot, your choice, needs done.

FAQS
If you didn't read the bugs list in the first post, go back up and read that now, asking the same questions over and over is a trademark of xda and I hate it, please read the change log and bug list before posting questions or reporting issues.
Q. I want to report an issue, can I just post it in your thread without reading or doing any basic troubleshooting, googling, reading or wiping?
A. Well you CAN, you may be ignored or flamed for it. Please read above, and please read the Bugs and Change Log lists before reporting anything. Please flash a clean download, flash a clean wipe, and don't restore stuff from TiBu, thats basic troubleshooting, check if the issue persists, if it does, then feel free to post about it.
Q. Is this daily driver ready?
A. Can't answer that, what a person needs from their phone varies from person to person, what I may consider fine for my use may be 500 kinds of broken for another user. Example, I don't use my camera often, maybe once a month, and my BT has never been turned on for the last 5 devices, for me broken BT audio and camera doesn't make it a non daily driver ROM. Please read and decide for yourself if features included outweigh the broken, or if broken things are required for your comfortable use of your device.
Q. All this crap is fixed and its working great, why is it still a WIP?
A. I consider it a WIP because things aren't 100%. Most things are 90% or less, audio is 90%, BT is 90%, camera is more like 75%, etc. Until most or all of those are 100% I consider this a work in progress. That's just hardware, there's also ROM issues to consider. I'll remove WIP when camera, audio and BT are fully functional, meaning BT audio/data/whatever works, audio streaming works (doesn't have issues via streaming services), has proper audio routing and uses the amplifier, and camera can consistantly take pictures, record videos, and not crap out randomly. Basically all hardware works normally. This isn't a shot at anyone's work, this is how I am about my ROMs, not saying anything about anyone else's work.
Q. Phone crashes everytime I answer a call, end a call, or look at my phone!
A. This happens for some GSM users when the ROM doesn't automatically choose GSM/WCDMA Preferred. This can be set at:
Settings>Wireless & Networks/More>Mobile Networks>Network Mode> Tick GSM/WCDMA Preferred. Toggle airplane mode sometimes helps to get the radio to reset and pick up the changes.
Q. Your files all download as index.php!
A. This happens on certain browsers, namely the stock browser and Chrome. You can either use another browser (naked and dolphin don't do this) or simply rename the file to something useful, like "piostotallyepicawesomesaucedrizzledromthatrocksyo urass.zip"

Awesome man. Thanks for all the work you've been doing for us. Love it. I will donate when I get more money on my card next month. Looks like you covered all the main roms that nobody else did . Well other than rootbox...

I remember this ROM. I used it on either my SGS 1 or SGS 2 and it ran very smooth. It was a very early build when I was using it and by the time it was running perfectly I had already upgraded phones. I might check it out for fun
Themes here: http://forums.chameleonos.org/forums/theme-releases.10/
... and of course these, will be partially functional: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?gid=3
This runs great. Thank you for all the hard work you have been doing.
Is there a way to get the stock HTC browser in aosp?
Thanks
PS. The camera doesn't work
I've been playing with this a little bit... I can't believe I haven't heard of it. It's like a perfect blend between MIUI and CM. In-call audio does not work though (on either end) and the camera isn't detected. I think I'm going to try this on my N7.

Odd about the in call audio, but since audio and camera were messed up (my own mistake) I'm not to surprised by it. Camera I knew wouldn't work.
This build, for whatever reason, is touchy about the audio that we have, meaning it doesn't like building it. I'll have to figure out something else for that portion.
Edit:
Updating all the ROMs with the updated stuff from chad's awesome work, so PAC, ReVolt and ChaOS are all being updated tonight. < why I don't want to add more ROMs to my build list lol
You've done a lot for us in the past week, give yourself a pat on the back and take a break. Thank you for your contributions.
Can anyone explain the key differences between all three of his roms. Revolt vs pac vs chaos ? Im currently on the cm10 build but i need to update for hopefully better sound camera and speakerphones fixes hopefully
Any screenshots?

The first post of every ROM will give you screenshots or a link to better description of the features and images. However, I will give you a brief run down and you can let Google do the rest
Chameleon uses more of MIUI as it's base. Which also means any .mtz (themes and misc files for MIUI) can be flashed.
The whole interface is completely different and it is something you simply need to try for yourself to know if you like it.
PAC and Revolt are very similar. Both have features from AOKP ROM Control, CM System control and Paranoid Android Hybrid settings to manipulate app colours and sizes including system features. PAC uses CM as a base while Revolt uses AOKP, both are similar besides some technical and aesthetic differences
Personally I prefer the features of PAC out of all 3, however I think Revolt has been built a little bit more carefully (most likely a lot of debugging) hence why I'm assuming some of the core features have been ripped out.
If you find PAC runs smooth for you I would stick with it. If you don't care about hardware button mapping and a few other small missing features than use Revolt or wait for it to receive some updates.

Go to ChameleonOS.org for pictures.
PAC is Paranoid Android+AOKP+CyanogenMod. ReVolt is also Paranoid Android+AOKP+CyanogenMod, just a different implementation of that concept. I personally like ReVolt better.
Chameleon seems to be CM10 with a MIUI twist (it's highly theme-able/customizable and uses MIUI's theme engine).
EDIT: Uppon2 beat me to it.
Keep in mind that the purest AOSP and least buggy should be CM10.1 so if you want something that still has a majority of the features I would use it. The only thing I wish it had over anything else would be Per app DPI. I remember being able to push the Paranoid Android settings in to CM on the SGS 2 and I would use it just for that feature and I never found a problem. I guess I could screw around with Xposed framework settings to get it to work but meh. I love having 2 Droid DNA's it gives me the freedom to run 2 of my favourite ROMs

Didn't work for me either, I tried a third party camera too and it didn't work. Considering it uses the same kernel as CM, it might be something we can fix ourselves by just switching/renaming some modules or modifying the build.prop. I haven't really played with it though.

Been busy on PAC revolt xenon and carbon, kinda put this on the back burner since its only partially functional and didn't get many downloads, so I didn't think there was much interest in it.

Welcome to Eclipse for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4! This is based off of the system dump for the Google Experience S4 (9505). I have ported this for your use on Verizon Wireless. I did have this up on my own site as a side project for the past few weeks but people keep asking me to post it on XDA so here you go!
I have also added several source based apps from my Eclipse Rom AOSP source code.

What do you mean? There is no way you updated to the new version that locked your phone again and lost your root forever?

Nevermind.
Flashed this ROM on my SCH-I545 and have had the boot animation for about 10 minutes. Granted, I didn't wipe anything first because I'm used to LiquidSmooth where it wipes whatever it needs to wipe (just system partition?) during the install.
I'm guessing I needed to wipe system first, so I did battery pull, booted into TWRP, factory reset, wiped system, installed ROM, and it worked.
Now to play with this awesome ROM! Thanks!
D'oh! Can't believe I'm just seeing this. Can't wait to get it installed. Thanks, Nitro!
Is the camera this slow on the normal S4 GE phone? Holy cow this is nearly unusable. Takes around 2 seconds per pic at best. So much for rapid shooting.
I looked for the TouchWiz camera in a flashable zip and found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341770
But it's for the i9500 model and breaks this ROM.
Anyone know of a camera app that will take even just 5 pics a second or something similar to burst mode? As it stands, my GNEX from 2011 takes pics about 5 times faster than my S4 with this ROM
Everything else about this ROM is stellar and I love it! Thanks a bunch. I imagine I'll just have to wait for people to figure out how to port the Sammy camera app over to GE ROMs. It appears to be fairly difficult or impossible. Maybe I'll go check out a slimmed-down non-GE ROM so I can have a good camera until the GE ROMs get one that isn't so unbearably slow.

CodefireX 4.4.3.2.1.000.000 Open Master
CodefireX.com[/url]
This well established Android distribution treats development differently than any other to further our Android platform as a whole. This is the fastest source built ROM you will find on this forum, and also the only one to utilize our unique build system and a custom LLVM 3.5 suite based toolchain globally.
Here is our very well supported Issue Tracker.
We utilize a plethora of unique optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Utilizing the LLVM CLANG CI globally, working heavily with upstreams with a goal of furthering our entire Android platform.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization and Polly optimizations (another custom ROM first). Feel free to google these a bit.
Much of our source have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations to set us even further ahead of the community. These are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Utilizing all O4 optimizations (Optimization Level 4) including LTO (with binutils plugins), and additionally LLVM Polly.
Of course we also have several neat UI features, including but not limited to:
T-Mobile Theme Engine.
DPI Wizard (no junk like build.prop tweaks).
Quick Settings panel customizations.
Live network stats in your statusbar.
Button backlight customizations.
Hardware button customizations.
Volume button customizations.
Many more being added during the nightly builds.

Our thanks go out to all the open source developers who made our work possible.
Below is an ever-incomplete list of some of the 'indirect' contributors to our ROMs:
The Android Open Source Project
LLVM CI
Linux Foundation
Code Aurora Forum
CyanogenMod Inc.
Chainfire
The entire 8960 CM team for making this device relevant still!!
Many more!
Thanks for the new work
Thanks! I'm testing this out. It's quite nice!
The only issue I've run into in a few hours of operation is that I changed the App Switcher hw key to be Open/Close Menu. Then, pressing that on the home screen shows a UI with a couple of options. But, when I press on Settings, it doesn't do anything.
Definitely not a big issue since I always use Nova anyway (and it works fine in Nova), but just wanted to pass that along.

Testing fixes for that today...
Other notes on today's builds...
Today's builds should have fixes for most of the app related issues that have been reported thus far. Only exception is the FC that was reported with email app. That should be fixed in tomorrows builds.

Checked the OP, I was just curious if there was anything not working on the ROM. Of course the work is much appreciated, I was just looking to flash something new for tomorrow. I just won't be around my computer tomorrow if I need any kind of fixes.
Only issue we still have that I know of is swype FC's. However all our servers are down for maintenance this morning. And haven't come back up yet

Has anyone who tried this ROM had the issue with the radio? I.E., the radio gets borked and the phone number comes up as all zeroes in the about phone section. That was the one reason I was never able to use a CM10 rom. Every one I tried borked my radio so I've been stuck with the stock ROM. I would love to get on a more traditional Android based ROM, but I can't have the radio problem.
Also, does this require any special version of CWM recovery?
Thanks....

If you have this issue on cm11 you will have it here as well.
You need a newer cwm or twrp capable of flashing. I would assume there one floating around here somewhere for CM11.

Everything seems to be working fine. No problems with the borked radio so far. I do have a couple of questions about some options that used to be available in Android 4.2 and 4.3 based ROMs. I don't know if these were things that the ROM developers added or if they were there by default and Google took them away in android 4.4.
1.) There used to be more options for the status bar. Things like adding am/pm to the clock, changing the battery icon, etc. Were these options that Google took away or custom options that the ROM developers added? If they are custom, are there any plans to add them back?
2.) There used to be the option that if you pulled down the right side of the notification window, it would bring up the Quick Settings tiles by default. Again, was this an option that Google took away or custom options that the ROM developers added? If they are custom, are there any plans to add them back?
3.) Any plans to add an option to wake the screen using the volume buttons to help reduce overusage of the power button? Not a big deal, just curious.
4.) Not a big deal here, but how do you turn off the CRT animation when putting the phone to sleep? I know it's in there somewhere, but I can't remember which setting it is under.
Probably think of more eventually

3.) Any plans to add an option to wake the screen using the volume buttons to help reduce overusage of the power button? Not a big deal, just curious.
4.) Not a big deal here, but how do you turn off the CRT animation when putting the phone to sleep? I know it's in there somewhere, but I can't remember which setting it is under.
Probably think of more eventually

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear its running well. I never get much feedback here as there's a pretty limited userbase. Keep in mind CFX was designed to be minimal, as close to aosp as is functional and minimal set of important features.
1. That's all custom add-ons. We may add some eventually..
2. Custom addons as well but this is something I'd like to add as well.
3. Also custom, also something I'd like to get added.
4. There's no option here to kill just that animation. Under developer options in settings(tap build # in about phone 7 times to expose this menu) you can disable all animations.

Thanks for the answers. It is a nice smooth ROM and the things I asked about are not really a big deal. It won't keep me from using it because I finally found an AOSP rom that doesn't bork my radio.
Now I just need to figure out how to flash a few modified stock .apks. My updater script doesn't seem to work with Kit Kat or my current version of recovery. I may have to try and remember how to do it manually. It's been so long that i've forgotten the steps.
Just wanted to pop in and say while I would love to give you feedback on the ROM, I have no feedback to give. It has run without a hitch for everything I have used it for. I have no idea what you guys are adding in the latest nightlies, but the version I am using from February 8 is about as stable a ROM as I have ever used. I can't see how any of the newer nightlies could work better. I have no plans to update to a newer version until I see some significant additions, like the ones I mentioned a few posts up.
A couple of side questions. If you were me would you enable ART or stick with Dalvik? Is ART still in the infant stages at this point?
Also, what does the CFXTools.apk do? I always cleanup the ROMs I install by deleting apps, sounds, etc. that I have no use for. I was hesitant to remove the CFXTools.apk because I wasn't sure what it did. In looking inside the .apk, I think it is a weather app because I noticed all the .png files reference weather conditions.
Thanks for the great ROM. Others should really try this one if they want Kit Kat on their Inc4G.

At that point CFXtools was an unimplemented weather app and all of our internal shorcuts and java goodies...its a holding place for all things cfx. So don't delete it
ART here is stable as ive ever seen on 4.4. AOSP has moved to art exclusivley upstream now. I will warn you though, there are some apps that just wont work on ART. Also when you switch first bot will take 10-15 minutes, and then you should reboot 2 more times to let it finish optimizing apps. After that you should be solid. This procedure will need to be done again if you flash a newer nightly.
Oh and FYI...ART is fast!

Thanks again for the info. I went ahead and switched to ART. Every app I use seems to work fine. The one thing I noticed was that ART uses more space than Dalvik. I lost about 115mb of space switching to ART. For now I don't think that is a big deal. Apps do seem to launch a bit faster. The one I really noticed it on was PowerAmp. I'll be curious to see what it does for battery life.
How do you get codefire to mount your removable sdcard when you connect the phone to the computer? It only mounts my internal storage. Thx...

I'll look into that, not many devices have the SD card now. We may be missing something for that.

OK, thanks.
Do you have anyone involved with Codefire that has any theming knowledge? I'm trying to change the blue dialer numbers to white and can't seem to figure out how to do that. I changed all the dial_num_*_wht .png files in the dialer.apk and teleservice.apk, but that only changed the numbers for the incall dialpad. It did not change the numbers for the main dialer. I've looked through a bunch of the .apks trying to find reference to the dial_num files but so far have only found them in the dialer and teleservice .apks and that didn't work. Thought maybe you had someone on staff who might know what I am overlooking. Thanks....
GPS and Ext sd card
Anyone having any issues with GPS locking on? Any suggestions?
Also get sd card unavailable, have tried to set path in root browser to /storage but no joy. Any suggestions?
Installed yesterday and is running very smooth.
Thanks
Sad day in the CFX world. CFX as we know it now is dead. Our 2 main leaders have parted ways with a difference of opinion in the future direction of the project. Thanks to all who have participated in this.
Mods its time to close up shop here.
