HELP! can't boot up with Cyanogen 10 after installation - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I was finally sick and tired of HTC sense and decided to root and install Cyanogen Mod 10 on my Evo 4G LTE (first edition, got it the day it came out).
I ran through the RegawMOD EVO 4G LTE Rooter, which worked fine except for the last stage where it asks you to choose some rooter.zip file, I couldn't find the file anywhere so I didn't do it. But it was working ok, I moved super wipe and one of the nightly builds over to my SD card and tried to install it, the installation goes through fine but then when I reboot it doesn't actually boot to CM10, just stays stuck on a black screen.
I flashed the newest version of TWRP, and it didn't help.. Not sure what else I could try. I REALLY don't want to go back to the stock ROM. Can anybody think of anything I could try?
THANK YOU!

Are u S-ON? Kernal probably won't install

I don't know, how do I find out?

This seems like the right place to post a question. I mean why post a question in the question and answer section when you've clearly developed a ROM, kernel, or a mod here

Power off your phone. Hold volume down while powering your phone back up. It should say it at the top.

You need to use fastboot to flash the boot.img file that comes with CM10.

Ok you're S-ON with hboot 1.15. The devs are currently working on a "noob" friendly method to downgrade hboot and achieve S-OFF. In the mean time here's a link to a guide to flash kernals with hboot 1.15.

Interesting, where do I find this boot.img file? is it inside the ZIP files of the nightly builds? It's ok if my phone is S-on when I do this?

Yay!
Sweet! I flashed it from command prompt like you said and it's working now! hurrah! I'm Jelly Beaned!!!

While it's great and all that you helped him out, letting thread starters make threads like this and then actually answering their question only reinforces the idea that it's perfectly okay to post here with questions and issues.
I've gotten bored being blunt about it, now it's just sad.

NO, unless you have S-off. If you read the information posted by the developer on the market page, about halfway down it says:

Before questioning , you should have searched once...... It works on hboot 1.5 and any S-ON device IMO. I use it on my HTC unlocked 3D without any issues

@twolazyg
It works ,LOL. S-OFF is not necessary. The Dev of the app told me, he mentioned S-OFF on market to insure zero issues. The only problem with the app on S-ON device is , if we cant get a SLOT ROM to boot up then we need to fastboot recovery and flash update.zip located in sdcard/bootmanager/phoneROM...... this process can be skipped for S-OFF device.

mean rom with radio update

will 3.6 mean rom have the new radios automatically or at least an easy way to install for us noobs with s-on
No, radios are seperate from ROMS
If you arent on H-boot 1.12 the only way to get the new radio is the RUU/OTA, and you dont want to do that because then you'll have hboot 1.19

They dont have 1.12....
If you are on h-boot 1.15 or later you CANNOT get the new radios without running the OTA or the RUU.
But you DONT want to do that.

You are trying to flash the wrong file. You need the file for "recovery". The one you are trying to use is for bootloader flashing.

You should s-off that bad boy and everything thing else will be easy from here on out
You need soff to flash radios separately
I went back and read many threads including capt throwback's. I tried to flash the S-On hboot 1.12 radio and kept getting errors. So today I downloaded it straight to my phone instead of transferring from my laptop. It worked. My radio is updated with S-On. I'm going to do some more reading before I try to S-Off. Is lazy panda the only/best way to do it?

hboot downgrade
Well I've also read that I can downgrade my hboot to 1.4, but that I have to brick it to do that. In other forums people talk like downgrading to 1.4 is simple. When I got the 1.58 upgrade it updated all my radio filestoo.. So I'm wondering if those radioh files are stored on the same partition as hboot. If they are I know how to flash my hboot with fastboot flash command so that would be simple.. Any help, pointers or info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, since youre s-off, all you need to do is find a copy of the hboot ( pg86img.zip) and place it on your sdcard, and boot into the bootloader, the phone does everything else from there on its own

Evo 3D RUU Issues

Hello XDA, i've been a long time lurker due to flashing my evo 4g and swapping roms on it constantly.
I have recently purchased an CDMA EVO 3D and was attempting to get S-OFF i started off by re locking my phone but i can't get past the ROM Update Utility, i believe it's because my image version is too up to date?
My bootloader is

The current Image version is 2.95.651.5 is there anything i can do to continue with getting Revolutionary S-OFF on my phone? or am i practically stuck here?
Thank you in advance for all your help, it is very much appreciated.

Just a heads up that you won't be able to flash the 2.89.651.2 RUU with the March OTA installed without downgrading your main version (mainver). I can give you instructions to do that if necessary but I suggest trying that guide first starting with Step2, or if you are already rooted Step3.
Good luck!

Sorry, we can't help people that use iPad's in this forum.
j/k
But seriously, you kind of hijacked the OP's thread so you might be better off starting your own or at least providing a little more information like what ROM you are using, have you installed the March OTA, do you have a custom recovery installed, are you S-ON or S-OFF. That would be a good start anyway.

I cannot thank you guys enough, i'm S-OFF now and everything seems to be good. Again thank you two so much.

I updated to 4ext and tried flashing some different ROMS.
MEAN Rom Mean kept on having the market error out, yes I dled newest market and verified check sum. So I tried Gangum style CM 10 CM10 and the stock ASOP keyboard kept crashing.
Unfortunately, with CM10 still on, I went into the hboot and updated to OTA_Shooter_ICS_35_S_Sprint_WWE_2.89.651.2-2.17.651.5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808150 Because I thought the firmware was causing the problems.

In the CM10 thread, it said not to use superwipe, but to instead use the option in 4 that wipes/formats all but the SDCard. So I did that each time, before flashing a new rom.
I'm thinking that I should flash JBear GB 1.50.5050 , then try and load CM10? Or would I want to use 1.57.5757 ?
Sorry, there is just alot of new stuff and tons of new hboots since my original "pull the battery to root" back when the 3D first came out. Lots to try and figure out.
