GPS Mode - Motorola Droid X2

Is there a shortcut way to launch google navigation into GPS mode only instead of launching google navigation and then having to pick the map icon in the upper right corner?

[Q] How to Geotag images

In the camera settings of my P500, I do not see any GPS option. How do I geotag photos at the time I click them?
Do I need to download some other camera application?
Hi there, Geotagging isn't very accurate for me but none the less:
Enter the camera, press the button on the very left, press the little bolt like button on the screen (you may have to tap the screen for it to appear). Then scroll down the column on the left until you find the label saying tag location. Click it and turn it on.
That's it
Thanks for the update. I think we need to switch on camera, and then wait for GPS fix for some time, and then click picture
but it seems that the gps it's not turning on, any idea?
For all of you guys wondering how geotagging works: you must enable this function in the camera settings, just as eichos said. On my phone, this is done by:
- tapping the screen to make the left side menu appear;
- tapping the down-left soft button that looks like a gear wheel;
- scrolling down to the last option in the menu, called "Tag location", tapping it and then setting it to "on". This will further take you to the GPS settings screen if the GPS is not currently enabled on your phone. You must enable it for geotagging to work, even if you're inside a building and the GPS will not get a precise fix on your position.
Now, even if the GPS icon from the status bar disappears after a few seconds, the GPS works in the background. As you may already know, the phone determines your current position using two methods:
- rough positioning provided by the mobile network cell towers your phone is connected to or the wireless networks nearby (Settings - Location & security - Use wireless networks);
- fine positioning provided by the GPS, if it can see and communicate with the satellites which requires clear sight of the sky line (Settings - Location & security - Use GPS satellites).
Now, having the GPS and the geotagging feature enabled, the picture's EXIF will include a tag about your location, which will be accurate if you're outside and rough if you're inside or if the GPS doesn't a fix on you yet. I just took a picture inside my office and the EXIF tag says the name of the street my office building is on, so even without the satellites the positioning is quite precise.
Wondering how you can check the EXIF tag? You can do it on your computer, of course, transferring the picture and opening it with a variety of programs (I'm a big IrfanView fan), or you can do it on the phone, using the gallery. Browse to the picture, open it, tap on "Menu - More - Details" and look for the "Location" tag.

How to disable Google now?

The title says it all...
Thanks!
Edit: found it
Open Google Now, hit the hamburger menu icon or drag out from the left side, at the top where it says Google Now, drag the slider to 'OFF'.

The nav bar hidden with adb reappears on home screen at first up swipe

Honor 7C, Android 8.0.
I hide the nav bar with an app that gets the permission to hide it through adb (eg. Navigation Gestures app). So when I simply press “Hide navigation bar” in the Navigation Gestures app, the nav buttons disappear, but the invisible bar stays on. To remove the bar I first go to the phone’s settings, make the bar hideable there, hide it natively, then go to the Navigation Gestures app and hide the bar there. It’s now gone. But as soon as I make a swipe from the bottom of the screen, the invisible bar appears (without the buttons), pushing the icons up. It only happens on the home screen, not in any other apps.
As far as I understand it’s the phone’s launcher responsible for this behavior, it’s not a bug of the Navigation Gestures app (I tried two such apps). So can the nav bar be hidden completely with adb or otherwise?

Immersive mode in wide view with keyboard

I'm using the wide view app to use the phone as a mini laptop. The problem is that I can't get the navigation bar to go away. It hangs out at the side of the screen (which I guess it thinks is the bottom) and takes away space from the keyboard. I can get rid of the navigation bar using Fluid Navigation Gestures and ADB, but as soon as I activate wide view, it reappears. Is there a solution for this?

Navigation Bar after upgrade to One UI 2.1

Hi - my tablet upgraded yesterday to One UI 2.1. I use my tablet to play games frequently and the now the navigation bar is activated differently while doing so. Before the update I had full screen gestures enabled so that when I was playing games I could just single swipe the bottom area of the screen to perform navigation functions. There were no hints or symbols. After the update with the same settings... when i swipe the same area the first swipe brings up a small navigation bar (as well as notification bar at top) and then I have to swipe again for the navigation result. It's like the have the navigation bar on auto hide like a Windows task bar.
I was really used to the single swipe gesture in these games so am looking for a way to get back to that if possible. It appears that in the android interface and other apps it works as it used to. It is only in games that it now acts different. I checked my "game booster" settings and couldn't see anything different.
Thanks in advance!
