hi, i want to ask.
does the xperia sola hardware camera button has 2 press?
i mean, pushing it half, makes the camera focus, then pushing it fully makes it take the shot?

Hey guys...
I´m searchin for an application, which allows me to use the second camera of my htc touch pro 2. Any Ideas for that?

Front facing camera apps?

Is there an app for the atrix that lets you use the front facing camera specifically just for a mirror...also I kno this would drain battery but is the a app that lets the front facing camera act as a live wallpaper?

Well I mean you could just open up your camera app, hit switch, then look at yourself
not wise to keep a CMOS sensor on so long especially with AGC (auto gain control), you will get hot pixels in an hour and overheat the sensor.

There's also no zoom with the FFC, so no "detail" work with the "mirror".

Front facing camera doesn't work

When i use the mirror app or push the button in camera mode, all my screen does is turn upside down. Is my camera broken, or does the front facing camera not work on these phones. It has done this stock and on custom roms

Same here. They should replace it if the camera isn't working.

Camera Manual Focus!!

I am wondering is there is any way that we could control the focus of the camera manually "not like touch to focus" like when we do zooming instead of it will change the focus so it give us stable focus on that point!!
I hope my idea is clear!!
it looks like there is no hope!!

I think he meant that instead of zooming while pressing the volume up and down buttons, that the camera should refocus, like it does when you tap the screen.

You can use the camera button to focus
I take pictures on manual mode all the time and that means pictures in low light with less noise
About the focusing, just press the camera button a little bit and then your phone will focus, if you don't like the focus just let the button go and try again while holding the phone slightly different with light source etc, then you can really make nice pictures

You can't.
may be , we can control it by using custom driver for camera.
as in SE k850 , it has manual focus by using custom camdrive.
or, anyone can make app that make manual focus possible ?
I've used some phone from Japan, mainly from Sharp, and all of them have manual focus. It's extremely convenient, especialy when you need to capture something in close distance, like die-casts. They run on customized Symbian, so IMO, Symbian has some driver/libs to support manual focus
I don't know if new Android phones sold locally in Japan can manual focus or not, since I haven't had a chance to take a look of them. But I think Android platform can support that, because the stock Gingerbread ROM on Optimus 2X has manual focus.
manual focus
has any other phone having this option?

[Xperia S] Autofocus is stupid

Guys,
I'm taking pictures with my Xperia S. However, about 60% of the time the camera doesn't get the right focus and the picture come out blurred.
How can I manually choose where to focus?
U can use touch to focus but u have to use normal mode and select focus mode to touch to focus! And it's not really focus until u click camera button! I suggest u using 3rd party camera apps like Camera360 or even fb came can focus better!
