Hi, im reading and following this turtorial
[HOW TO] Beginners Guide to Android ROM Development.
But now im stucking in step 2.3 since i dont have the "original rom zip" file.
So, is there anyway to get the "rom zip file" from the phone or from the "offical updater".
Thanks

Hi,
I'm new on the forum and I hope I'm writing in the right section.
I'm going to be a new android user as well because my Lenovo Lephone is coming end of this week?
Unfortunately there is no section for it because I guess it is only available in China.
The phone is already rooted: XXX://androidforums.com/all-things-root-lephone/102624-root.html (I'm not permitted to link)
There are some neg points:
- the market is not installed
- there is no custom rom
I'm not at all a programmer or something close but I'm ready to learn, to try and to get my hands dirty. I will just need some paths and answers.
My questions:
- Is it very difficult to create (or adapt) a custom rom to a android-phone when it is rooted? What should I do?
- Is it possible to install the market to the initial rom? Or should I flash it? Should I add it to the initial rom when it is extracted.
- Does this tutorial to extract the rom work for any android phone? ([TUTORIAL] How to unpack Android ROMs on Windows)
Thanks in advance for replying,
Best regards

Hi guys,
I have the LG Optimus p500.
Android: 2.2.1
Build: FRG83
Software Version: v10b-DEC-13-2010
I am trying to install This Rom
However I have no idea where to start.
I don't mind doing a downgrade if I have to.
I have tried searching the forum however have found no step by step guides.
If anyone could post a step by step guide for rooting and flashing from these settings to the rom I posted I would be highly grateful.

Read, read, read.
First you must downgrade to 2.2 firmware because 2.2.1 wont be rooted. so you must download your original firmware from LG website and install it by KDZ Flasher... search in the forum... there are plenty posts about this. then look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247 for rooting and installing ROM methods..
Hey All,
I wanted to see if there was a option to put the OTA update back on the TNTlite 4.40.
Roebeet,
Maybe you can give me a few tips as this is your Solid Rom. Is there anyway to place the OTA update back on the TNTlite.
Let me know and once again thanks for all your support in this.
Best Regards
there is a thread in the developers section with recovery roms. you can find the rom image download link there. you need to create the recovery directory and put the command file in it. you can find instrucitons for that in the main discussion forum as a sticky post
Absolute Root Tool Fonts sb'd my phone so it wouldn't load beyond the dual core sign.
Solution: Reflash the firmware posted in the "noobs" thread located in the general section.
Hi, I've a problem with usb port on my S3 Galaxy (i9300). So I can't install a new ROM I9300XXUGMJ9 with Odin.
Do you know another system to upgrade my i9300?
Exist a tool to convert a file odin's compatible to a ZIP file CWM compatible.
Thank you.

1. wrong section
2. mobile odin
3. CWM flashable zip package in general section
@v.carrieri
I think there are CWM XXUGMJ9 ROM available in the development section. Just obtain root permissions and you are good to go, remember to always
backup EFS to avoid further problems. and one thing, it is good to post this in the Q&A thread so that others may see it and can provide further instructions.
I'm sorry for wrong section
thank you for mobile odin
