Buying SGSII in US, using in europe?

Hi everyone,
i have one short question.
I'm currently living in the US for the next few months and my HTC Desire keeps on rebooting and HTC won't repair it in the US, because it's an german vodafone branded version.
Anyways, i need a new phone.
If I buy the SGSII here in the US, will I be able to use it in Germany aswell?
Because currently I cannot use 3G with my Desire (carrier is t-mobile), only EDGE. It would be a real bummer if I couldn't use the SGSII to it's full extend (meaning 3G etc.) in Germany.
Thanks for your answers!
Th unlocked Europe version is compatible with both Europe and US 3g radios.
ya well, but i want to buy it in the US and use it in europe. Not the other way round.
I think that's what he meant.
Never live in the past but always learn from it.
Could just buy Europe version online.

That's what I meant... Plus there are a stores in the US that will sell it.
gs2 unlocked version is quadband 3g 850, 900, 1900, 2100mhz. i'm assuming german is 900mhz. so you can use 3g in anywhere except tmobile usa (1700mhz).

[Q] Will the Galaxy S2 asian version work with AT&T's 3G and upcoming 4G?

Hi guys!
New to the forum. I'm about to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S2 in Hong Kong.
I was wondering if this phone will work on AT&T's network, namely their 3G and their 4G frequency. It'll be quite pointless to get this phone if I couldn't utilize it's speed.
Thanks!

[Q] Will Galaxy S2 HD LTE work in Indian 2G/3G network?

I want to buy Galaxy S2 HD LTE version. But since it's a US variant I first compared it on GSMArena here
Code:
hxxp://www[dot]gsmarena[dot]com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4198&idPhone2=3621
and surprisingly regular S2 and HD LTE versions have exactly the same frequencies. So should I buy this one?
If you buy one don't expect much support since the phone isnt even listed on xda.

[Q] TMoUS experts, need your input - TZones content

Short and sweet:
Have $5.99 unlimited T-Zones. Want SGS III, and want to surf HSPA+ (on the down low, like I do currently with my int'l HTC Sensation)
TMO branded T999 out of the question ?
Any other sources for a T999 variant ( Canada maybe? ) with IMEI unknown to TMoUS ?
Can I get the ATT variant, root, install TMo modem like on the Galaxy Note?
Thanks for any help !!!
Bump for the new week - with another Q:
Does the carrier Wind Mobile in Canada use the same AWS spectrum as TMOUS? They have a SGSIII variant too...

[Q]

Hi, I just came to canada and need to buy a smartphone. I don't want to engage in a contract as I will be leaving for Australia in 4 months time and then from there to Pakistan
I am confused about different flavours of Samsung devices and concerned if they will work at full capability in Australia (pakistan doesn't even have 3g yet!) , Like this S3 I747
http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/phone...model=galaxysIII&colour=Blue&contractTerm=SP8
or these two minis
http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/Fido/devices?PhoneSKU=GS3MINIBLU#specs
http://www.rogers.com/web/link/wire...Id_Detailed=GS3MINIBLU&N=52+11+4294948709+277
Any input would be appreciated.
Also, is there a way to get the phone unlocked at a cheaper price ? I mean is there a software one can unlock with? I am sorry but this whole locked phone thing, it's pretty alien to me
If you're planning on country-hopping, buy an unlocked international model straight out if possible (ie. The I9300/I9305, not the I747). Canada, Australia and Pakistan will most likely all have different spectrum frequencies, so buying a Canadian model probably won't work on Australian or Pakistan mobile networks.
Australia in particular has slightly different devices (eg. I9305T, N7105T), probably to adjust to their frequency bands.
