NavBar on stock based rom? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Basically what title says, i want to know if there is a mod / tweak / app / shortcut, to go directly for any app to home... Like a nav bar on aosp roms.
basically what i want is 2 things:
1.- Go home directly being on any app or similar to that.
2.- Show recent apps button ( Already fixed with nova launcher, selecting long press action on menu button)
So only is missing point #1.
Hope someone can guide me in the right direction.

Someone?

What ROM are you running at the moment or SE firmware?
That can determine if you can get the app drawer back or not?
And, how did you delete it?
Andriod 2.2.1
andriod 2.2.1 cyanogenmod 6.1.1
Or simply reflash or backup apsa on astro and restore.

What launcher are you using bro?
Can you try long press on the dock menu? I think you see there open all apps drawer or something.

I've done this plenty of times, im using adw Launcher so this could be different for other launchers
Long press on your home screen, Launcher actions, then select open/close App Drawer.

i have seen in adw launcher but cannot find open/close appdrawer i have too much games and other data so cannot change my andriod
Easiest way would be to install a different launcher.
I believe you can also add a shortcut of the app drawer.

Depends on which ROM you are using.
on Stock Honeycomb Rom, the buttons go in order: Back, Home, Recent apps, Screen Capture.
On CM ICS or JB MOD , it's : Back, Home, Recent Apps.
If you have ADW launcher installed, the last icon (3 dots), it's the ADW settings button.
Hope this helps!

3rd party launchers and the menu bar

I am considering getting a HTC One but one of my reservations is that I use Apex launcher and am wondering about the two softkey layout of the phone. with there being no menu button, is there that annoying menu bar always on the bottom when using 3rd party launchers? If not, how can you access that menu on this phone?

I think you mean the three dot settings button, right? Yah, it will display a bar at the bottom of the screen with the buttons. However, you can install a custom rom that will remove the bar and allow you to long press the back button to open that menu.
Bummer. Are there any other launchers that dont have the menu bar at the bottom, without rooting? Its not that I am afraid of rooting, but I dont want to mess with my phone's basic functionality right out of the box.

Use XPOSED MOD it has a module to remove 3-dot menu.

I am using the Apex launcher, and there is no black "three dots" at the bottom. It works fine.
On the other hand, I tried the Go Launcher EX, and that one I had to uninstall because it did have the black bar.
EDIT: Not rooted.
Awesome! How do you access the menu then from the home screen using this phone?

You can long press on any empty space and the menu will come up. Or, it can be accessed from the app drawer, top right. Three dots there.
