Glove mode is allways on in games under ICS - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Bug report
Product the bug was found in: Sony Xperia Sola MT27i (HU, Telenor, black)
Platform: OS 4.0.4 ICS (6.1.1.B.1.10)
Severity: 'normal'; the bug makes the product unuseable for gaming purposes but does not prevent it to be used for its original purpose.
Priority: 'normal'
Summary: After I installed the ICS update I noticed that the "glove mode" is allways on in many games even when I did not unlock the screen using it, and even when the feature is completely turned off. This problem was not present in GB. The problem is mainly in 3D and other 'heavy' games like Oscura, Dead Trigger, Aralon HD, Pocket CS, and possibly more, however not present in all games, Osmos and GTA3 works fine.
Steps to reproduce problem:
- Unlock the device the normal way without glove mode
- Start any of the following games: Oscura, DeadTrigger, Aralon HD, Pocket CS
- The glove mode will be turned on inside the game
or
- Turn off glove mode in settings
- Unlock the device the normal way without glove mode
- Start any of the following games: Oscura, DeadTrigger, Aralon HD, Pocket CS
- The glove mode will be turned on inside the game
Expected outcome: The glove mode should be turned off inside the game
Actual outcome: The glove mode will be turned on inside the game
Reproducibility: allways
Comments: a reasonable solution would be a blacklist in the settings to forcefully disable glove mode and floating touch in selected installed applications.

It's quite annoying and intends into aroma installers and custom roms.

robo defense screen issue - rooted nook

robo defense will not render properly, its only using 1/4 of the screen . . has anyone got this working ?
The solution is to disable compatibility mode in the spare parts app (you can download it from the market).

Tilt sensor/accelerometer issues

Was really excited to see Tomb runner in play store but after downloading was unplayable cause the tilt sensor doesn't seem to work in the game, seems fine on home screen etc.... anyone else having this problem or found any workarounds?
Hmmm.. does it work elsewhere for your tablet? Tombrunner works fine, with tilt, on mine.
its fine in other apps, which build of the os are u on? Settings-About tablet-Build number... Mines B016 at the end...
Did you try to uninstall and reinstall? It worked for me
Tried everything, reinstall, reset tablet but no joy... Im gonna try the ICS beta ROM.

Absolutely worth the upgrade and I cannot recommend it more highly. I just updated to ICS b08 last night (from 006) and it continues to be a significant upgrade in the little things. Screen seems more responsive, performance better to the eye, and so on. Absolutely worth it, regardless of tomb runner. 8)
It's working great on ICS 08 rom. But playing something like angry birds and tip off basketball is harder than it should be because the touchscreen filtering algorithm either non existent or were set to a very low number so you can't have a steady touch (try to just touch the screen in the browser and it's shaking... Or just activate pointer location in developer options to visually see the touches). Despite this problem, I still think that this rom is better than the hc ones.
Sent from my HUAWEI MediaPad using Tapatalk
on HC3.2
i red it somewhere on web and when happened it to me it worked.
Solution:
1. turn off screen tilt function
2. turn off auto screen brightness
3. turn on screen tilt function
4. turn on auto screen brightness
weird? try it

Home screen / auto rotate use orientation sensor. Games use accelerometer. If you or anyone else having accelerometer issue, try disabling compatible coordinate mode in setting - developer options.
As for me otherwise - enabling compatible options.

Xperia phone forcing battery preserving under 30%

So this isnt a big deal but I stil want to know if anybody else has this poblem. I noticed my phone forces battery save mode under 30%, even if stamina mode is completely off and I have no 3rd party apps that could cause this.
Symptoms:
-Massive (and I mean it. Massive) decrease in Wi-Fi performance
-Slight decrease in device performance
-???
on massive
1. it will switchoff wifi as screen goes off,
2. wifi scanning for possible wifi's in the area will be off
3. nfc/blutooth location services will be put off as screen goes off and location services will be less accurate
4. all screen affects (smooth scrolling), window panning affects will be disabled.
5. xreality and/or bravia engine will be set to off (basic screen resolution only)
6. notifications will be reduced (facebook/messenger / etc)
7. apps wont stay in ram for long / processes will be closed frequently
on slight mode
only screen affects and display properties gets switched off
PLEASE note that all above is out of MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with the device! , ( hence its unofficial)

Palm PVG100 Screen Wake On Plug & Fully Charged

I'm close to having the phone perfect but these two still persist. There is a myriad of old options for Xposed and I was wondering if anyone has had success with any of them? I use the phone for a GPS unit on a cycle with a dynamo hub, so the waking up is annoying.
I've sorted the sound already, so there are two wake up conditions:-
1. power is enabled
2. battery reaches 100%.
Cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I can't help with Xposed, but I have a suggestion and a side question.
My suggestion : try IpBike (with IpBikeKey to unlock it).
The author of IpBike reads and answers e-mails. He is opened to new features if the idea is good.
If IpBike can't force the screen off (I never tested, as I don't charge my device as I cycle !), he may add the feature.
My question : is the PVG100 ANT+ capable ?
I use a Sony-Ericsson Xperia Active as a cycle computer (powered by IpBike), with ANT+ Speed, Cadence and Heart-rate sensors.
I would like to replace it with a PVG100E/EU, but the ANT directory does not list any Palm device.
Have a nice day !
Cobus.
Probably not, ANT is an extra cost for a manufacturer.
I found an open-source app which works. It's a bit old but still it does the job.
Basically it registers itself as an admin app so it can control the screen, then when a wakeup comes in it turns the screen back off. It's quick enough that the screen doesn't get a chance to come on. No root required.

Have you tried enabling "zen mode?" Zen mode keeps everything on the phone from waking I believe. I have tried it, but got annoyed when the wifi would cut out once I turned my screen off, because it would stop what I was listening to. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but zen mode might be something to play around with.
To activate zen mode, the easiest way is probably through the app "setedit." Under "system" options, scroll to the bottom and change zen mode from 0 to 1.

Improve battery life of wear os specially oppo watch

So friends i recently bought OPPO watch 41mm everything is amazing about this product except its battery life without power saving mode. While using Bluetooth connectivity only i am Getting 6 to 8 hr of battery backup and need a to charge it 2,3 times daily with average usage.
at flip cart site most of users are complaining about the same so i researched some points and applied to watch and i. Getting satisfactory whole one day battery life on this watch while doing day to day activities like calling, messeging and health activities.
So you need to follow simple steps as below
1)Update wear os to latest one:
Sonwatch comes with 2.18 when we unbox it so immediately after unboxing watch batyery life gets discharges very quickly you have to fully charge it an dthen go to setting> about>system update and update it to latest 2.19 wear os version.
2)Disable all transition animations :
To do this you need to enable developers option go to settings >about >click 8 times on build number
Now go to developers option and disable all transition animations.
3)Disable all gestures :
So to do this go to settings >Personalization >disable tilt to wake, touch to wake and wrist wake
So tha main question arises how to use watch to hekc time and day to day activities for that you need to enable AOD(ALWAYS ON DISPLAY) and to wake the screen use power button. So AOD drains battery for that we need to enable Low bit ambient mode to enable this go to settings >developers option and then go to wear os developer option and enable low bit ambient mode
4)Disable ok google detection
5) always keep wifi, nfc, gps connectivity off use them at emergency only
6) Use pixel minimal watch face:
This is minimal watch face which shows main informative text in white color and with balck baground which save battery life on amoled screen
Link of wath face
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benoitletondor.pixelminimalwatchface
By apply above tips i am getting whole day battery life on my oppo watch 41mm
I have created small video tutorial lets take a look on it also
