I bought my XPERIA SOLA a few days ago, and i have a huge huge problem with it... :crying: When i play angry birds, sometimes it's unresponsive. Many times actually. When i tap the screen it just doesn't respond, my birds don't react to it and just continue flying. You know, those blue birds don't tear apart for example... I was wondering if it is the same for everyone, because it makes the game (almost) unplayable.
And also when i was testing my touchscreen with multitouch visualizer 2 i noticed terrible screen tearing on the left side of the screen in landscape mode. It's strange because it's vertical, not like in video games. By the way I'm on ICS. Does anyone have these issues?

Anyone? I'm more curious about the angry birds part. Does it really run that bad on the sola?
I also have the same tearing issue on the left side of the screen in landscape mode on ICS on my xperia U. Did factory reset and repair via SUS but that didn't help.
Then after flashing back to GB the issue was gone. But when I updated back to ICS faced the same issue again.Did you find a solution?

This seems to occur in all stock bases ICS ROMS sadly =( any news for a fix ?

Hey guys! I recentely flashed (again) Jokersax's Cm9 and have been having minor problems with it. I just want to know if i can fix them. (Both problems occured on his 0.1.0 2d and his 0.2.0)
1. While Charging, my phone always has a LED on. Its really annoying for when im watching videos and games and stuff. How do i turn that function off?
2. Falling Fred and Running Fred both don't work on ICS i restored to Dorian's RedPill Hybrid and they worked fine but as sooon as i gi back to CM9, The screen is VERY buggy in Running Fred I.E i click a button and it doesnt click, and falling fred just freezes. pleas help if you can?

I'm having the same issues with the screen. The buttons stick after I stop pressing them on GTA III. The charging led also sucks because it slows the charging speed.
I know that there are still some touch screen issues with ICS so if you want full game support stay on GB.
I have an issue after the update. On random moments the screen rotates by itself despite the phone being in portrait position it rotates to landscape for a second and returns to portrait. It's irritating. Anyone has the same problem?
If this happens when an app supports landscape it stays on landscape, when not - like home screen it just kind of flickers to landscape and back.
I tried turning auto-rotate off - does not help. I calibrated the sensor - does not help. Scanned for viruses - none found.
First flash any previous fw and check if problem persists.

Did a factory reset. It helped. Screen flickers no more.
I have the exact same problem! Auto-rotate is off and running in portrait mode.
It started about two weeks ago, but I ignored it because I thought flashing a new rom would fix it. It didn't.
Before I was running Xliterom (ICS) but yesterday I flashed Vanilla Rootbox (JB).. the problem was still there, and I obviously wiped data/cache/dalvik etc. So then I decided to try Foxhound and the problem is still there. Can anybody help me figure this out? Hardware problem..? Could it be some app causing this?
It just happens at random times, in random apps. Even at homescreen sometimes.
Hi i have a problem with my S3 where, say i was typing a text out or on an app. The screen goes into landscape for a split second then goes black and then back to normal. This happened on my first S3 then i went and got it replaced and it does the same again.
I haven't a clue why its doing this i have auto rotate turned off and it still does this. Has anyone else came across this issue?
Im running 3.7 Wanamlite Rom with Siyah 1.6.8 kernel.
i tried moving to checkrom v5.5 HD and the problem happens on that too. I cant see it being another faulty phone seeing as only a week ago I went and got it replaced with another brand new RED S3.
I hope this is an easy fix cause really does get on your nerves when screen does this and i know its not normal or could it be just an issue with JB? thanks in advanced.

no1 know what could be causing this problem. even with auto rotate and motion TURNED OFF the screen still goes to the side view and then blanks out for a second then back to normal

3rd galaxy s3 and still having this issue. Its the red model. It was working ok then out of the blue the phone would act as if its opening a landscape app and then reverts back to normal. this is really annoying as sometimes wen unlocking the phone it rotates to landscape and i have to lock and re unlock to get it back to normal. This happens even with auto rotate turned off and motion disabled.
is there a way to test and see if its a certain app thats causing this? cause no way 3rd brand new galaxy s3 and having the same issue. Thanks
I've been experiencing an intermittent issue with my touchscreen when gaming. When I'm playing any games that require touching both sides of the screen at the same time to control the character(Dead Trigger, Wildblood, Shadowgun, Samurai Vengance) if I'm moving my left thumb on the screen to control the character and touch the right side of the screen to shoot/move the character/etc the touchscreen cancels what my left thumb is doing causing my character to stop moving. It's a total PITA. I thought it was something with the stock JB update but flashed MeanBean 2 days ago and am still having the same issue. Weird thing is there have been entire gaming sessions when this problem hasn't happened but it's borked at least 90% of the time.
Any suggestions???
P.S. I do have a Zagg HD installed but haven't had any issues with them since installing on launch day.

Ditto. I experienced the same problem in GTA III (when trying to drive, especially) and turned off HTC gestures, but the problem continued occurring.
I feel like I'm stuck in a situation where I don't want to take the screen protector off and order a replacement Zagg shield through warranty because if removing it for some reason fixes the issue I don't want to use a Zagg again...but I don't want to take it off without having another one handy.
So I just fired up some games and the screen is deciding to work properly today. This is frustrating lol
....and then a couple hours later I'm back to the screen not working properly again.
Just wanted to update this post about my findings. It turns out the new stock "No Lock Screen" option we got with JB breaks multtouch. Changing it to any lock screen other than "No Lock Screen" prior to using any application with multitouch will fix the issues.
Messing with the lock screen seems to do that. When I had widget locker it would do the same ****.

I had read a couple threads about that happening with 3rd party lock screens. It's weird that a stock lock screen is doing the same thing.
I just ran a couple test runs on games and the multitouch visual test from the Play Store and it seems that the issue with the No Lock Screen lock screen(and I'll assume Widget Locker and other 3rd party lock screens) are no longer breaking multitouch with this new touchpanel update. Freaking aye!!!!!!!!
Hey guys. I own a Sony Xperia U and I've had it since September of 2012. The phone has had its fair share of being dropped. I've also rooted it and I have tried different ROMs. I feel that my touch screen has a problem. I have a bit of difficulty when writing new messages, when I tap on a letter, sometimes it doesn't respond. Same with playing games, say for example, Flappy Bird. Whenever I tap, it doesn't always respond to my tap. I'm saying that I can only "feel" that it is a touch screen problem because I also think that it could simply be lag? I've tried using different roms, going back to stock but the problem persists. I've tried modifying the sensitivity of the screen but I don't think it really did change. What do you guys think? Is it the touch screen itself or could it be lag? What do you guys suggest? Thanks!
Try removing screen guard if it's old (sometimes old roughly type screen guard creates problems) and clear as much as ram possible, check Touch Screen in service tests

did u try to go back to a clean, stock sony rom? if the problem persists, it should be a hardware-related issue
Well I tried the service test, when I tap on the phone once, sometimes the white mark doesn't appear. Doodling shows marks however, but not sure if it has a sort of lag or something. I've tried going back to stock rom before, the problem didn't go away. Also I've removed the screen guard.
