I use text plus for SMS on the tablet. It seems adaway blocks the ads, but also prevents texts from being sent, but I can still receive strangely enough. Anything I can do, or have the devs just gotten wise here?

use another sms app? or see if romtoolbox pro's ad blocker is enough to do the trick.
You can add the app to the Ad Away white list, that should sort it out.

Yes I just now spotted that, now my question is how do I know what to add? I can't seem to add an application, but I can add a URL but I'm not sure what the URL is/are

Some app requires ads enable in order to use... its the app issue, not ad away..

Think I got it, I just tried adding *textplus* with the wildcards and it seems to like that. Messages are still going through. I can ignore the ads on that and still have it active on other things.

Just got the Asus Transformer Prime today, everything is fine so far but I have come across an issue with the XDA app that I'm having problems with.
I can't seem to stay logged in using the XDA app and once clicking on a thread the XDA app force closes every time.
Just wondering if anyone else is getting this or knows of a way to fix it.
Thanks.
Yeah, seems to be both HC and ICS issue.
I couldn't get get the XDA app to work on a TF201 or TF101. FC every time.
Just been looking at the Android market comments gees there's loads of people commenting about not being able to stay signed in and force closes.
If this has been going on since the first Transformer there should be a resolution by now
My only complaint about the Transformer Prime is that the XDA app doesn't work....

I love XDA, but the XDA app is pretty bad. I use Tapatalk, as it is updated on a more regular basis, and hasn't given me the problems the XDA app has (and yes, I have XDA Premium).

Do they have a Tapatalk version specifically out for Android tablets yet?
there's a free HD version floating around the internet. apparently it's available on the samsung app store. i've used it with honeycomb, but now with ICS it crashes when i login to a forum..

If you're rooted, you can install any number of ad block pieces of software that will update your hosts file so it blocks ads across the board. I use AdAway, personally.
This a way to remove or replace "webpage not available"

If you have AdAway's web server feature on, it should replace those with blank pages.
firefox has it, though the browser is unusable, big disappointment.
dolphin also has it, still beta, not easy to use, you got to google it.
does adfree works on browser ads?

Somehow it appears that i have accidentally uninstalled my stock gallery app. I am not rooted or anything and did not think it was possible to do. I disabled the app so that i could clear the cache and data. Anyone know how to get it back?

I think the best office app so far is mobisoft officesuite6. Personally for me it's the best app that combines word, excel and powerpoint in one.

I stumbled across IncStage Presenter. It's not perfect but better than I've found so far. Not cheap though at $7.00.

Recently I have been getting spam ads in my notification bar I think it was from installing GNES lite but I'm not sure. also an icon appeared on my desktop that was some sort of spam. I'm curious if anyone has any tips how to isolate the source so I can get rid of it.

I would look into the settings of all the apps you've installed around the time you first noticed it. Other than that, it might be a process of elimination. How about checking the play store page for the apps too? I'm sure other ppl will comment on that in the reviews.

Glad you found it already. I thought I'd leave a little tip here in case you didn't know and need it in the future. If you long press on a notification an "App Info" button will come up which will take you directly to the app responsible for the notification. From there you can disable notifications for that app by unchecking the "Show Notifications" box.

Get Mupen64 or N64oid. N64oid isn't in the play store, but you can find it in other places. I personally find N64oid to work better and have some better options.
