Hello all I am having a problem editing sim card contacts on i9100.
You can go into contacts settings and change display from sim, google e.t.c but can not delete from sim
or add new contact to sim.
It is not the sim card as I have put it into an old phone and deleted the contacts that way. But what gives?
Phone is currently running omega icsv15 xwlpg 4.0.3
I have searched the forum and google but unable to get a fix please help me
Try wiping all the data on that apk..

Hi Guys,
I currently have my contacts sync'd with my Exchange server. I want to copy these contacts to my SIM card but I cant find an option on the phone or an app in the market. Can you please help?
Ditto...can't find how to copy phone to sim (only sim to phone)
there is no option to copy to sim. there was no option on the g1 or magic either.
Hey!
Is there any way I can edit my SIM contacts on the phone?
You can edit with a sim reader or possibly upload to Google and edit on Google account .

I got my contacts on Gmail too, but I want to edit those on the SIM card. And I want to edit them on the phone. Without having to take out my sim card.
I have not found a on phone method .

Click to collapse
You can edit them individually but that's about it as far as I can see.
i have a rooted and custom rom-ed galaxy s2 running slim bean build 4. after i flashed this and rebooted my device, i noticed that i was not receiving any signal. after going into settings > about phone> phone status, i saw that there was nothing for the signal and carrier was unknown and the signal was at 0. i went into the contacts application and tried to see if my contacts show up....they dont. after clicking settings in it, it said that i could import contacts but the only option available was through my phone storage. shouldnt there be an option to import from sim?
Check to make sure your IMEI number is there. There are a couple of roms that will remove it. If it is not ther try flashing a different rom and see if it comes back or restore your nandroid backup which I am sure you have.
Restart your phone and check whether you will be asked to enter pin. If so, download galaxysim unlock With a wireless or search for the apk on XDA.

I fixed it by reverting to stock (no root or stuff) and then rerooted and reflashed. It works now

Welcome.
Yesterday I've been trying to change my messages, contacts and dialler apps in my Lenovo A850+, because stock messages app couldn't recognize number and match it with my contact if there was the country prefix. And additionally the china symbols in that apps were irritating.
I've installed new apps, but it seem that stock apps are still default. So I used root explorer and moved Phone.app, ContactsManager.app and TelephonyProvider.app files to my SD card. Then the ContactsManager were crashing all the time and my SIM card don't work now. I moved that files back to system/apps/ but it didn't help. I made a factory reset and it still don't work... What should I do?
Thanks for help.
and in settings there is SIM management button, but its gray and I can't open it.
Hmmm that's stupid, but I was doing that things in RootExplorer at night time in my bed, so maybe I've deleted some files unconsciously when I was falling asleep...
