[Q] Videos tearing on all browsers but not on YouTube - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

While trying to watch a movie online the window where the video is playing keeps tearing and is impossible to watch. I am running jelly bean on 3 downloaded from samfirmware and flash player is definitely installed. I have attached a picture of what is happening because I can't really explain it that well. Is there any solution for this? Oh and YouTube runs perfectly.
I can't upload an attachment for some reason but here is a link.

The video playbac k on youtube app was fine in android 2.3.3.....
But ever since updating to 2.3.4... I getvery sight lag in the video playback in the native youtube app.. video is fine on web browser through flash ... but on the native app it stutters ever so slightly ..... I wanted to know if only I'm having this issue....
Would be great if someone can provide me with a fix.....
Much appreciated...
Hi,
I had the same problem in youtube app on every KG* ROM so now I'm back on KF2 (2.3.3).
Hmm.... I wish samsung fixed the issue
:-(
I think it might be some thing to do with youtube video and samsung 2.3.4 video decoding because the video stuttes even in their mobile site..... Its only youtube that's having this issue...
Dailymotion works fine... N youtube on flash its ok too just quality isn't as ...
Im on kg5 with stock rom(cf-root) and watching youtube via the "Tubex" app which is free from the market its running fine.
+1 for Tubex
Youtube runs fine on stock XXKH3 firmware for me.
Working fine too on xxxkh3 so far no problem at all

Browsing embedded video issues

Hey guys,
Got my Prime 3 days ago, everything is working as expected (Amazing product) except one slight problem.
I've been trying to watch embedded video in the stock browser and I seem to be having issues. I'm using stock browser, with the latest flash player installed.
When I get to the video, the screen shows blank and I see in both screen sides a 1 centimeter of distorted colors, which seems to be part of the video itself, but not organized. In full screen view I just see it blank.
When I refresh sometime I actually see the video frozen on some image.
I refresh, switch quality for dozens of times before I get a normal video.
Could someone test the following streaming website for me? mobafire.com/streams (It's League Of Legends game streaming)
(I'm showing as a new user so I couldn't get the link itself posted yet, just add www in the beginning please)
Just choose any stream there, there are around 10 always.
I want to understand if it's only happening on my prime.
Thanks in advance.
Guy?
Anyone encountered this behavior? Could anyone take a minute or two to test the video I mentioned above on his prime?
yes this week end i would watch live soccer on a website with flashplayer
the video was very laggy no possible to pu on full screen the screen was blank
adobe flashplayer was not very good on ics
Also experienced this on both stock browser and Dolphin HD.
One thing I've noticed is that if the page has just one embedded video, no problemo. Plays perfect. Also, don't try to zoom in on the video until after the video starts playing.
But when you have more than one embedded video, it has serious audio sync and loading issues. Oh and trying to full-screen from anything BUT the youtube app will give you terrible results.
I'll give it a shot to try and wait until the stream already starts playing before I fullscreen, but I doubt if it will change anything...
No I don't mean fullscreen, I mean zoom. Fullscreen will always fail miserably. Zoom, yannow, screen-pinching, can get you pretty close to fullscreen.
I see, I'll give it a shot thanks
Can someone that has all video working correctly give the streaming above a shot? I'm particularly interested to know how long, if any it takes you to get a normally working stream.
I have problems watching embedded youtube videos on the stock ICS browser. My experience... If I click play on the video, only the sound plays and the video doesn't appear. If I refresh the browser page, it always seems to work the second go around with no issue.
Not sure why it doesn't load correctly the first time around.

Videos using YouTube API not working in 4.2.1?

So I just got a Galaxy S3 and flashed CM10.1 M1 on it, and I've noticed that embedded YouTube videos using the API don't play correctly. When trying to view embedded videos in Reddit News and Reddit Sync, the same thing happens in both apps. When in portrait mode, the video starts loading normally in the middle of the screen. Once the playback starts, the actual video becomes invisible, and the area behind where the video should be becomes brightened in color. Audio can be heard, and the video is visible only if you turn the phone horizontal and cause the video to go into fullscreen mode.
I tested it on my Nexus S running on CM10, and the videos work normally. So I was thinking that maybe this has something to do with Android 4.2.1 and above, maybe? Or could it just be this particular build of Cyanogenmod?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a pretty annoying problem, as I use apps that make use of the YouTube API quite often.

[REQ]Video Player that plays flash/html5 urls

Hello. There's this website I watch TV Shows on, it has every episode in both flash and html5. I'm on ICS 4.0.3 and for some reason the html5 doesn't play in any browser I've tried and the Flash version works kind of well, but it stutters some times.
Anyway, is there any video player where I can browse or paste the link and watch it there? The site requires authentication to view them.
On the iPhone it simply opens it's native video app, much better than to handle the video inside the browser.

Help me with these problems

Since no one is replying to my post, I decided to rewrite this again.
Problems:
Displaying "Samsung Galaxy Win GT-I8550" during boot
Most of the videos on YouTube (app) cannot be played
YouTube (app) and video players (Video Player or MX Player) is limited up to 360p
Crash when "Videos from the web" card is displaying on Chrome
Why do I care about these?
After countless times of installing custom ROM, I decided to revert back everything to default.
So, I installed I8552XXAMK1 on my phone with Odin3 and I found that my phone is displaying "Samsung Galaxy Win GT-I8550" when it is booting up.
I do know that GT-I8552 is just GT-i8550 but with dual SIM.
This problem might be the reason why my phone can't play any videos that are above 360p. (Problem 3.)
Recently, my phone cannot play most of the videos on Youtube. Even the videos that I used to watch with my phone cannot be watch now.
I uninstalled YouTube (uninstall updates) and I found that I can play the videos that I used to watch. But, after I installed latest version of YouTube, I cannot play them.
I don't want to use old version of YouTube since I really like the UI of latest version of YouTube.
So, I would love to know how to fix this problem without needing me to force myself to use old versions.
I think this problem is related to Problem 1.
My phone cannot play videos that are higher than 360p.
On YouTube, I always need to watch them in 360p, which is pretty hard to me when I am watching educational videos that involves text. Well, this is fine since I can at least watch them.
But, when I downloaded video that are above 360p (stored in phone), I cannot watch it at all. Unlike YouTube that allows me to change resolution, video players cannot.
So, I installed MX Player and needed to enable SW decoder to watch 480p and above videos.
Problem fixed? No, I want to watch videos on YouTube on 480p so it is easier for me to see things.
I really hate this one. Every time I am using Google, it always crashes when "Videos from the web" cards shows up.
Please help me fix this one because this is really disturbing me.
Please excuse my language since English is not my main language and I rarely ask for help online. You might noticed that my sentences are not really well-organised and really hard to read. I did my best to write this and I hope you reply to it.
