First use Triangle Away to reset the flash counter and then use Check Fus to get the latest firmware for your phone. Afterwards flash the same using Odin.

I reseted it first time flashing rom so its already 0
Invalid HIDSWVER with Check fus

Oops, I missed that, sorry. No it will not come back as long as you flash stock firmware only.

Follow the instructions on this thread. It will install the official ICS unrooted from AT&T. Shutdown and pull out your battery to find your S/N number listed on your phone and write it down. The model is AT&T I717 when asked. Skip the part in 4 (a) when told to pull out the battery and continue with instructions. Here are the instructions;

How to know my original Kernel Version?

Hi,
I just rooted my SGS2 using the following kernel: CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5, the problem is forgot to write down my original data, so is there a way to know it?
and does rooting the phone also changes the Build Number and Baseband Version?
Here is my current data:

Well I'm afraid the kernel I used won't be compatible with the phone, isn't that right?
I'm sorry I'm new to this

If you want to unroot all you have to do is go to www.sammobile.com and download the stock firmware and flash through Odin. You will get your stock Kernel back. So don't worry, try some aftermarket kernels

if it isn't compatible, the phone won't turn on, or pass the Samsunggalaxy GT-I9100 screen. so don't be afraid. just in case, and to be safe, if your phone is working OK right now, you should make a nandroid backup in CWMR (volumeup+home button+power button). and then you can mess with anything you want (except stock kernels made from 9 of july of 2012 to now) and there will be almost no problems
you can try any kernel...not every kernel works fine in terms of battery life and hardware manage. even though is the one that came with your custom rom. the same is for modem(baseband)

First download latest Flashtool 0.9.8.0. and install it.
Download SEUS and flash STOCK rom with it (or via Flashtool). That will install and Stock kernel. After that, root your phone again via Flashtool( new one). Than choose kernel to flash, and rom...

You are choosing what to do. No need to unlock bootloader again if you unlocked once. But you must root your phone again after install fresh Stock Rom. I always, when get some unexplained error, flash Stock rom with SEUS and after that I root with Flashtool (latest version), and later install custom kernel or rom I want.
I am on FXP CM7 and I flashed amin kernel.
Now that my USB is not working how can I flash other kernel or get my USB working again?

[Q] Today update ?

hello , today i receive ota update in my galaxy s2; i download files 13mb
but after restart a message appears : can not install update try with Kies , any information about this update ?
Your actual ROM version? Your country? Try to use Kies and tell us the before and after version so we can understand it much better.

Thank Julian
my actual ROM : android 4.0.4 I9100XXLQ6 - My country Algeria ; i try with KIES but no update
Are you using a custom kernel? That can be the cause of a failed update.

Hello, flash back to an unmodified rom. Flash the whole rom and do not root it or flash a custom kernel over it.

thank you ; can i unrooted it without flash ?
I wouldn't recommend flashing a stock 4.0.4 kernel though unless you're sure you're not going to need to do a wipe.

[Q] ] Android 4.1.2 root

Can you get root and have everything stock(firmware, kernel)?
If I install siyah kernel or any other kernel you don't get OTA. I want to have root and still get OTA.

I don't think you will get OTA after installing CMW. If someone tested post here.
It's a temp recovery, don't think it would matter.

Isn't there a method to get root through ADB? So I can keep everything stock.
Don't think so.

Cf-root is probably the closest to stock kernel with root. And as far as I know, you do get ota updates, but you'll obviously lose root once you update via ota, kies, etc.
