None of my device's sensors are working.. tried different apps to check out for readings. But all apps just flashed blank field. Is there a way to find out if its a hardware failure or firmware issue?? I have my warranty left so if its a hardware issue..must hurry up!
thanks in advance.

Hi,
I tried new rom and the problem above began.
After calling/answering the other side can't hear me till I press several times on the speaker button - playing with speaker/mic 2-3 times...
tried new roms with swipe and nothing... same problem on stock rom.
On samsun galaxy s, rom 2.3.5, seamaphore kernel.
May be a hardware since all roms showing u d prob , try different apps - to record from microphone and see
the problem is not over the recording app - i tried several ones.
I think it's hardware issue - but i hope not because my warranty expired...
(it's because I changed from 2.2.1 to 2.3.5 - but other people who installed the same rom don't have the same problem...)
someone please help - very disturbing issue...
bring it to service center.....

What device are you on and what ROM?
I used to have this problem quite prominently with a CM7-derived ROM on my HTC Desire-Z/G2 and fixed the issue, as many others have, by flashing a newer radio firmware.
Dive into your device's forum here and see if you have the option of flashing a radio.
problem solved after replacing again the rom.
Thanks everyone
Hi,
I've just updated my sk17i to stock ICS and rooted it.
Besides the fact that the notification LED isn't working (this seems to be a known problem) also the backlight from the hardware keyboard isn't working for me.
Anyone else having this problem and how can I fix it?
Thank you & best regards
Edit:
Forget it!
It's working now. Not sure if I just couldn't see it before because of the ambient light or because I've flashed a completely fresh ICS.
Hi All,
Greetings!
I currently have a SHW-M250K galaxy s2 model.
I have flashed it with i9100 gt firmware.
However, some portions of my screen are unresponsive, only to some applications. The lower part of my screen is not being detected properly. Its as if some applications only detect my screen as 4.0 instead of 4.3. It only happens to some applications. Keyboard and other apps seem to work fine.
My details are as follows:
Model: GT - I9100
Baseband: I9100DXLP7
Kernel: 3.0.15 - TH [email protected] #2
Build Number: IML74K DXLP7
Would updating my kernel be of any help?
What would be a good way of fixing? Would wiping all my cache and data help?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey...
yes, try to update or use another kernel once.
If this won't help, last option is to make a full wipe, but try the kernel first.
If u hadn't the prob before and not bigger drop of phone or anything like this, it wouldn't be a hardware issue
CHEERS
I own a Galaxy S4 I9505 device.
Earlier I was running the stock based Custom ROM (Imperium 16.1, Android 4.4.2) on my S4 and there was no problem at all. That ROM gave me supreme performance, stability and battery life.
And then official Lollipop (5.0.1) was released by Samsung. I flashed the latest stock based custom Lollipop ROM on my device and the problem started (or may be the problem started because I have dropped my device once).
Now what happens is ... after I flash a ROM everything is working fine. But then after some uncertain period all the sensors stop working on the device.
Sometimes the issue is resolved by a simple restart, at times I have to clear the Cache and sometimes I have to clear the Cache and Dalvik Cache**.
All the sensors start working and after some time suddenly, all the sensors stop working.
I have tried all stock based Custom Lollipop ROMs and even AOSP based Lollipop ROMs, but this problem is persistent with all the Lollipop ROMS.
I have even tried Original Lollipop Firmware (flashed through odin), but the problem persists.
I open the back-cover and tightened all the screws, thinking it could resolve the issue. But the problem persists.
I am not able to decipher if this is a Software or Hardware issue.
Can anyone help me on this? Has anyone faced this type of problem? :crying:
I am not sure if this is the right place to post such a question. If it isn't please guide me to a proper thread.
Thanks
Since you just said you drop the phone.. i think it has something to do with that... looks like a hardware issue..

@radz.min thanks for the screen shot .... you think it could be a hardware issue ... but as i mentioned .... sensors work good for half an hour or so and then they stop working ... if it was a hardware issue ... it should not work at all .... right ??
