Your flashing hasnt even started.
Turn phone off and leave the phone unplugged. Plug in flashmode - vol down + cable in when there is a pop up that says do so. . Green light shows the right status
Never use gb kernel again in combination with ics rom.
Flash thebrainsrom

[Q] Xperia S Bricked?

Hi guys
I recently upgraded to ICS(Stock swiss one) and after using it for a few days without problems I flashed a kernel. I don't think it was meant to be flashed on ICS, so I reflashed the stock kernel again and now my phone doesn't get service and the IMEI is blank in service menu. Does that mean my phone's bricked?

I flashed the whole ICS firmware and that solved my problem, thanks though
xperia s is generally very hard to kill, as i cannot imagine how can you loose fastboot or flash mode those are handled by software not designed to be altered and noone would ever want to
I was trying to deodex my rom and my phone got stuck up in bootloop. now it won't start. If I connect the USB the LED is red! I couldn't get it to flashmode or fastboot
Edit: It's the battery after charging for sometime I got into fastboot...
oh huh! while playing around I mistakenly flashed cache.sin as boot in fastboot! :-S
Guys,
I need help here too, i'm not sure if i did it correctly. This is all about rooting my XPS.
1. Updated to firmware .75
2. Waited for ICS 4.0.4 and updated.
3. Unlocked bootloader
4. Used flashtool , rooted with pre-rooted img available in XDA
5. flashed recover-img
6. flashed kernel.sin
My device could not boot into system instead it went to CWM Recovery Mode. But now it works fine. I can browse through my device. I'm still not satisfied with the way i've rooted my device.
Is there a way that i can do a clean reset and update ICS 4.0.4 and root my device with proper guide. I don't seem to find an easy guide here as some of the guide does not specify where to go bout getting something.
Thanks

I can't boot my phone :(

Hi,
I've used rom t0x1c v8 and I've returned to stock GB .42 and everything works fine.
I rooted phone and trying to update it to GB .62 but my phone can't boot after I start to install update.
I've unlocked BL (testpoint).
When I trying to lunch the phone LED (on side) flashing on green but nothing else happen.
I've tried flash stock GB via Flashtool but it's give me 0 results. (Before I flash stock GB I've removed battery for more than 5 secs).
It's any way to bring my phone back to life??
Help me plis.
PS. Sorry for my English

[Q] Cyanogenmod bootloop error

Help!
I have an Xperia P. I decided to try cyanogenmod using the freeXperia projects fine work.
However I have seriously messed up it seems. After following the tutorial on DooLords page I encountered an small error, the Cyanogenmod 9 boot screen got stuck. No big deal. Apparentl this can happen. So i thought that I wouldn't risk doing anything more and would go back to the safety of my rooted Stock Rom.
Now however I have a bootloop of Sony going to Cyanogenmod. The phone now says that it is NOT rooted meaning that i can't flash any other kernels or roms to return to normal. I am at a dead end. I am a first time poster, a bit of a noob, but frequent visitor to the forums. Iwould really appreciate anyones assistance.
Bro, not rooted doesnt mean you cant flash kernels. I suggest you to use flashtool and fash official stock rom and thats it.
Bootloop
Bro what does flashtool say when you connect it to the computer??
Plz giv details....

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have sorted the problem. However I'm not exactly sure how. I had flashed a kernel that had relocked the bootloader i think meaning that I couldn't flash any rom through flashtool. Then when the phone started to run out of battery I couldn't even get to fastboot mode or flashmode. I left it overnight on charge with the bootloop running over and over again which gave me enough juice to reflash. All back to normal now. Phew!

[Q] Does Honami Experience really work on locked bootloader?

I have a Xperia U blocked bootloader rooted and with CWM installed.
I had an ICS .100 ROM installed and working perfectly but I decided I wanted to test Honami Experience ROM. As I had the terminal rooted I just downloaded the Honami Experience V2 ROM for blocked bootloader device, I copied the file to internal storage, I booted to CWM, I did a data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and finally I installed the Honami_Experience_ST25i_v2_LB.zip from SD card.
After the installation finished I rebooted and as described in installation instructions it took some minutes to boot. After that the phone interface is working very smooth but I have lost many functionality: the sim card is not recognized, wifi is not working, cam not working, when I plug USB it is not recognized saying that the drivers can't be installed (in the windows device manager is shown as ST25i but with a warning under other devices), ... So basically the ROM is pretty smooth but useless this way. I'm not sure if I did something wrong though I think it is correct what I did. It is not important anyway just now.
So, my question is, what can I do to restore the mobile. I have already downloaded st25i_6.1.1.b.1.100 generic - user_sony.zip but the problem is that I don't find the way to put it now on the internal memory as the USB connection is not working. I have tried connecting the mass storage from CWM too but with same problem, windows can't install the drivers and in this case in the device manager shows it as Android instead of ST25i but with same warning.
As USB is not working I can't use flashtool to try to restore either.
I'm going to mention too that no matter if I disable the debug mode on the settings, it looks of on the user interface but when I reboot the phone it comes up with debug mode on always.
Any suggestions appreciated. My last solution would be to use bluetooth that seems it is working on the phone. The problem is just in this very moment I have another bluetooth device to send the data and that's why if possible I would like to know of any other way to solve this issue.
Thanks.
You should download file ftf and flash via flashboot mode
flash mode works
After reading another thread I have realized that flash mode works anyway so I have flashed the stock .100 and seems all is working now again.
So I change the question to, What have I did wrong when I installed Honami Experience ROM? I'm not sure what to do when the big Power Off button and Use Phone button appear on screen. I have waited a lot on that screen but maybe I did something wrong. What exactly I have to look at on that screen to be sure all is fine. When I flash the stock .100 I have no problems.

I'm not sure, I also installed Honami v2 this morning but my phone is UB and it works normally. Have you followed the instructions in the topic, instructions for Lock Bootloader , your phone is ST25a or ST25i. you can do it again and report to the topic's owner
and power off and use phone button, it depends on you. if you are doing something, you can choose use to continue and turn off later

The phone is ST25i locked bootloader. And on the moment I did the test was rooted, it had stock .100 firmware and CWM Touch 5.5.0.4. Taking that into account I just uploaded the Honami v2 zip file (for locked bootloader), I booted into recovery, wiped everything, I installed the zip from SD and rebooted when installation finished.
The only thing I can't be sure if it is wrong to start from .100 firmware (kernel included). Don't know if that is wrong and I must start with .10 kernel.
Now I have it again with .100 firmware, rooted and with CWM Touch 5.5.0.4 so maybe I can just flash .10 kernel and try again the installation of Honami from CWM.

I tried and no way even with .10 kernel same exactly problems, no cam, no wifi, no sim recognized, ... Not sure if I'm going to try anymore. Really the stock .100 is smooth enough.
one more test
I tested once more. Just reread the instructions very very carefully.
- The instructions say that you have to start with 6.1.1.B.1.100 so I was doing it correctly from the beggining.
- The instructions say to root with superuser while I was rooting with supersu so in this last test, though I supposed it was not the problem, I decided to use superuser.
Again, same problems, no wifi, no cam, no sim recognized, ..., so I only can imply that Honami Experience doesn't work on locked bootloader.
If someone has tested too and read this and it is working for him in locked bootloader I would be glad to hear how he did it.
I can't ask for help nor notify it in the developer thread because of the limits imposed by xda-developers forums.
Thanks
Glad I saw this post...
I have a locked bootloader as well, and have been wanting to try various ROMS.
Was thinking about trying this one on the weekend, but now I'm not sure.
Currently using JB eXperience V2, it works well and everything works, but I'm always looking for something new to try.
I'm not savvy enough to fix problems, so would rather flash ROMS with few "bugs"
Sorry I know I didn't answer your question, but it certainly answers mine of if I should flash this ROM or not.
I certainly give credit to all the devs on here though, don;t get me wrong! They work hard!
need to re-flash the 6.1.1.B.1.100 firmware or not?
I wanna try it but have some questions.
Now I am currently on zperience 1.0. Can I install this rom on over it or sould re-Flash the 6.1.1.B.1.100 firmware.

Same problems on LB
I have LB and i had the same problems with this rom, the wifi didn't work, the screen didn´t turn off. In fact, the same problems. The owner of the roms told me that they are bugs of the rom, i think he will fix it in the v3. As i see it works perfectly on UB, but i'm not going to unlock the bootloader.

Thanks for the info. In my opinion if the owner of the rom knows about all those bugs he should include the info on the rom thread.
The rom thread shows a list of bugs and if those bugs are only the bugs of the unlocked bootloader version he should have explained better.
When I decided to try I thought it was a full operative rom with just the few bugs that we can read on the thread. But wifi not working, sim not detected, screen not turning off, lock screen not working properly, cam not working, ..., are bugs that can't be ignored. With those bugs, even with only one of those, because all of them are imprescindible features, the rom is useless.
same problem

new kernel and ROM, I'm lost !?

Hello guys,
I am in great need of your help.
About 6 months ago I have successfully installed Lupus kernel and Octane ROM on my Satsuma, bootloader unlocked. Yesterday I have decided to change it to Kappa 1.6 kernel and Fluorescent Feather ROM, unfortunately it's quite difficult.
So I've got Flashtool, followed the tutorials and flashed kernel. Then when rebooting I entered Recovery and followed Saqib Nazm instructions in his thread. Installation was ok and it had prompted me to finish Setup. I went through all 7 steps but at the end I got "Unfortunately Setup Wizard has Stopped. OK" the phone itself was blank. I couldn't switch it off, so I took the battery out, then switched it back on but the phone is hanging on that pretty wave animation on the beginning.
What to do now ?

You either got bootloop or brick. Try to enter recovery mode to recover your ROM. If you can't enter it, I'm afraid you have to flash the whole ROM from the very start..
Better to install backup of previous rom which was working fine for you..

It is not good!
Hello I'am back with very bad news.
since the last post I have tried for hours to come with some kind of result, but to no avail.
*I've tried to install stock ROM - flashable zip in Recovery, phone gone dead!, I've managed to get to Recovery and installed FF ROM (no back up done prior, idiot) phone stuck on Android upgrade
*I've decided to download FTF, extracted it, used Flashtool - all drivers done too, but my phone can't get to flashmode, it is switching itself on/off constantly.
*yes I do have Kappa kernel, but it's not possible to finish ROM installation, the Setup wizard crashes every time at the end and the phone is blank, without ROM.
any ideas folks?

yup... that's bootloop... flashing the FTF without changing the kernel back to which one it was or the compatible one with the FTF you flashed will only cause your phone keep restarting (bootloop).
since you didn't backup your ROM, the only option is to flash the firmware from very beginning.
Flash the FTF, and also flash the kernel. you will get your phone back to the very start of your phone just like it was when you bought it.
Problen Solved
ok, so the bootloop is solved,
I do not know how I managed to do it. After hours of trying I installed another ROM - Flawless ISC v4 and keeping Kappa kernel. As I said before, no idea how, just endless trying because I love my Satsuma.
Thanks very much for help
