i recently got a text from orange saying that i was now on EE and when i restarted my phone, It would display the EE. So i restarted my phone and it didnt display EE. So i decided to go back to the samsung stock rom and it displayed the EE network then but i wasnt to happy with stock so i decided to install cm10 nightly, but now it wont display EE on my phone it just displays T-Mobile.
Im completely baffled about this, Any idea's on why this is? and how to change it ?
It musnt display on custom roms.Im in the same boat....but I dont care.
Its the same with network selection.There is no "option" to use t-mobile orange-only t-mobile or orange.

Had the same from T-mobile but it worked for me. Restarted phone and I'm now on the EE network and I'm running a custom rom.

Doesn't seem to be any faster. Did a speed test and got about 1.1Mbps up and down.

Wow $35! I got my unlock code from cellunlocker.net for only $8, took 3hrs for them to send the code.
Edit: just checked... They charge $33 for bell note. don't know why Rogers is so much cheaper to unlock.

Actually since Rogers owns Fido, you can interchange the sim's from Rogers to Fido and vise versa with a locked device.
They made that change a few years ago.

Really weird problem my s3 has Been working fine until I woke up this morning and it is showing no mobile network but allows data connection still but not able to make any calls.
I am on standard BLG8 ROM and LH1 modem stock and not rooted

Right I turned it off took the SIM out booted back up without SIM the rebooted again with SIM but the signal still keeps dropping off I only get signal for a few seconds. I normal get really good signal where I am. Also battery is dropping quicker then normal I guess that's down to searching for signal though

orange/t mobile are doing quite a bit of network repairs and upgrades at the moment ahead of 4g, so that may account for it, try going networks and selecting t mobile, always get better signal like that here

I had this Exact problem last night!!!! I was on orange, unlocked it, put in my o2 contract SIM, and the exact same thing happened. works well with a 3 SIM card just not O2. So now I have a SIM card full of mins and texts to use , but I can't use it!

I am able to pay £100 next week and get a Galaxy Note 2 from EverthingEverywhere off my mums contract and give her my HSPA (she wont use 4G!) Galaxy S3.
I am wondering if it would be possible to get the Galaxy Note to work on O2. The Galaxy S3 is already unlocked so that wont be an issue!

Try searching for specialize on eBay. He unlocked my new s3 i9305 last night £10.95. Got unlock code back in 30mins. Check if he covers note 2, I know he covers most Samsung models

Once it is live, only sixteen cities in the UK will get 4g until the Spring of next year. I'm definitely and early adopter, but there's early and there's early!

Although handsets are displaying EE this is only EEs 3G Network. 4G EE will be going live at the end of the month in 10 major cities followed by several more by the end of the year.
From Techrader Website:
The date sees the new EE brand "go live" alongside the super-fast mobile network, which will go live in ten cities around the country (London, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham).
EE says that Belfast, Derby, Hull, Nottingham, Newcastle and Southampton will also join the 4G line-up by the end of the year.
To all yes I realise that the galaxy note 2 won't work on o2 4g when it is released and I also understand that EE isn't live until the 30th.... the business model is in practice unil early next year!!

You'll have to have it unlocked first, uf you've already done that, then redo it because it is letting you know that is network restricted

You have a real issue. I bought my wife's new. (phone is locked to ATT) I went to wal-mart got a straight talk BYOP kit her's has been working fine since day one with no issues.

I don't think your imei is good after all. I got that same message on a note 2 I bought. The man I got it from had me call att to verify the imei, so I'd buy it, then reported it stolen 2 days later. Boom, no connectivity. Device has been blocked from network use
