Download new language packages for Google navigation - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey.
I'm looking for new language packages to use with Google navigation. On stock Samsung rom we have Google's own voice and Samsung TTS. Google voice in spanish is just horrible, like a joke. Samsung TTS is way better, but still has trouble when speaking some street names and directions.
So I'm looking is its possible to download other voice alternatives to use with Google navigation. Does anyone know any and where can I find them? It's mainly for spanish language.
Thanks.

new problem samsung voice ffd in google maps

anyone try using one of the samsung voices which are much nicer than pico..
well the concept is good but on google maps the damn thing keeps reading xml and http urls (presumeably to download the missing stuff) instead of giving navigation directions..
pico seems to work ok.
No idea, where do you get Samsung voices??? I have Susan pico as my text to voice for co-pilot.
Under settings/ voice input and output / text to speech settings / default engine

[Q] A way to make applications use off-line google voice?

Hi, I have been trying out the offline google voice recognition feature and have been pretty darn impressed but there seems to be a caveat (not necessarily googles fault?) i can't seem to figure how if there is a way to get all/most applications to use it. That is, if i want to use evernote voice-to-text, or vlingo, or google voice I can't because they all ask for an internet connection. I am not sure if this is because they are using their own voice rec system or using google's old online voice rec but its proving to be a real hindrance as these applications are where voice rec is the most useful.
So, is there a way to trick or force these applications to use google's offline voice recognition or is that an impossibility?
cheers, -Gaiko
PS I heard a rumor that offline google translate was going to be an option at some point? Anyone else heard anything similar?

Samsung keyboard voice input without Google Now (search)

Hi
I noticed that the mic button of Samsung keyboard on any v4.1.2 rom is only available when Google search (The one with the annoying Google Now, aka velvet.apk) is installed. I've tried older Google Voice search instead of Google now but it did not work for the Sammy keyboard. Is there an alternative voice input/search to google now? Can velvet.apk be patched so it will only provide voice search/input functionality but not appear as a search app that runs in the background?
Any tip will be welcomed
Thanks

Text Reader for WeChat

Hi, I am looking for an App that integrates with Android to provide Text To Speech functionality to WeChat so that I can click on text and the App will read it for me, either in English or in Chinese. I have Swype for Speech To Text, but I am looking for an app to do Text To Speech. I am looking for an App that is NOT Google related because I travel to China often and Google has chosen not to do business in China.
Tried installing 'Robin' but the first thing it wants is Google Voice Search which doesn't work in China
Does anybody know if there is a TTS engine which is NOT based on Google Text To Speech?

Ghost TTS on google maps

Hi everyone,
I have had OnePlus 1, 2 and 3T. Now I have Nomus S30. So I have had Android from v4 to v7 and noticed this in everyone I had.
I am from Lithuania, but I don't like the menu translation on android, so I use English language all the time. I see that I can not choose Voice Output in Lithuanian language on TTS settings, because there is no such choice of Lithuanian TTS.
But here is something interesting I found...
When I set Android language to Lithuanian, the google maps starts to speak in Lithuanian....
How can I have English language in android by default everywhere with Lithuanian google maps voice-over/TTS ?
Nomu S30 I have with Android 6, Rooted. Maybe it is possible to capture the "hidden" Lithuanian TTS files and copy it to the default folder where all other TTS are, so that I could choose this TTS straight from the menu? Just a thought...
Any ideas fellows?
