Hi everyone. I wondered if anyone had come across this anomaly, when my phone is charging, and it gets to the point where it is fully charged, the screen lights up to half the level, and a message says to unplug charger. Up to this point everything is fine, but as I disconnect it from the charger as it lights up, my "Owner Info" (Kev's Galaxy s III) underneath the clock on the lock screen, scrolls from right to left, three times, then stops! 1:Why does it do that? & 2:Where can access the settings to keep it going?
Many thanks in anticipation.
You can find the setting in:
Settings-Lock screen
You can change the ticker in "lock screen options"
and info in "Owner information"

Hi Coolhof. Thanks for the info, but I know where to edit user info is, and control the "stocks/news" ticker at the bottom of the lock screen, I'm referring to Owner info, directly below the clock in lock screen, it scrolls just 3 times from right to left, directly after the charge gets to 100% when I unplug it. There is no setting I've found to keep it scrolling. Thanks again.

I updated rom from 1.43 to 1.66 (official way). With 1.43, when alarm sounded, there was screen with 2 sliders, red and green, where green snoozed the alarm.
With this new rom there is no such thing, only message in notification area, and I have to stop the alarm with 'Dismiss all'.
So either there is some setting for it, or I installed something before and forgot about it.
Any ideas appreciated.

Settings -> Menu -> All Settings -> Sounds & Notifications -> Tap the 'Notifications' tab -> Select 'Reminders' under 'Events' -> Tap 'Display Message On Screen'
If it isn't in the 'Events' list, look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729382
Otherwise, install BsBTweaks and enable the "Windows Notifications" option.
I also don't get this screen, but it sounds good. I'm on 1.66 and have never seen a screen like this. I've got BSB Tweaks and have checked the setting in Sense, but it still comes up with the old popup at the bottom of the screen that has dismiss or menu and you have to go into menu to snooze.

That's not it. It will only enable small window on the bottom of the screen.
Now I remembered that I installed some lock screen themes .. maybe it was part of it. Will try.
Edit: found that exact theme .. did not help.
same problem

i have a tmobile usa hd2, and i had the same slide to snooze screen but after rom update i couldnt figure out how to get that screen again, i am not sure it was a app i installed, plz let us know if you found out how to do it, thanx
Got it ! It is in BsB tweaks .. it is "Windows Notifications" option .. but you must turn it OFF ! Windows notifications here means 'not HTC notificatios'. And you must have locked screen, of course, otherwise you will get HTC popup (different from windows popup) with direct Snooze and Dismiss soft buttons.
I've done that and I get the popup with snooze and dismiss soft buttons instead of dismiss and menu. How do I get the red/green slider now?
If it is HTC popup (looks almost as popup menu, not like standard windows window) .. then you need to have phone locked (or in stand-by). If it is not locked, there is no need for slider, as slider is there to prevent unwanted activation.
Ive always had that option disabled but I still dont get the htc notification....... :S
To make sure, this is how it should look with 'windows notifications' off. First without lock, second when locked.
Does it make any difference which lock screen you are using as I get the first screen all the time? I'm using the Manila style lock screen from Cookie's btw.
I'm not sure, as I don't use any lockscreen mod at the moment.
just to note that turning on htc popups over Windows popups means you lose the snooze foe "5mins, 10mins 1hour 1day etc etc .." options. you can only snooze or dismiss.
Is it just me or does the alarm just sto and not go into snooze, say like the old Nokia alarm. I find it really annoying that I always wake up late because the alarm just stops ringing, and on the screen it has 2 options, snooze/dismiss, even though it has been stopped for over half an hour. Let me know if I'm doing somehting wrong please.
How can I display the notification screen without tapping on the top status bar?
Meaning, I have big fingers, so it's difficult to tap the thin top status bar to display the notifications screen (the screen that shows connection status, new text message notices, etc).
So, I am looking for a way to create a shortcut that will display the notification screen without the hassle of trying to tap on little status bar to display it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

+1 I want that for a long long time and i have no clue how to make that shortcut.
In Android we can do that but in winmo i don't know.
Ok,
found a solution, install mortscript and then just run the attach script
you can assign this script to a shortcut in screen or assign it to a hardware key
this script is only a mouse click simulation. if you change the coordinates you can point the shortcut to perform a click in a different screen location
done
CHT has the widgets for notifications. You should try it, if haven't yet.
I love the "swipe up an icon to launch that application" feature of the lock screen on the One. But I've noticed that (seemingly randomly) it just stops working. For instance, I'll grab the chrome icon and swipe up, and the phone won't register that I've grabbed anything, and the screen just unlocks. Rather than an icon floating with my swipe gesture -- the lockscreen just fades out and then the phone displays whatever activity was open when the screen was turned off (almost like I've grabbed the lock icon, though I haven't). Has anyone else experienced this? And how can i get it to go back to the default behavior?
Did you install any kind of notifier that would display on top of the lock screen? I found out that after installing Notifierpro with accessibility services turned on it messed up the Sense lock screen.
I have posted my experience on a different thread and did not see your post. I just thought maybe you are experiencing the same problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2276188
Mine sorta does the same thing. Sometimes I will grab an icon (any icon for that matter) and it won register the swipe at all, It won't even bother unlocking and it wont register any swiping at all until I do one of two things
- I will have to hit the power button twice to sleep and wake the device then swipe to unlock
or
- Hit the Home or Back button then swipe to unlock
anyone experience this? hope this helps
I know that the other Samsung lockscreen widgets only work with Swipe enabled - is Dashclock the same way? Thanks

I just picked up my phone yesterday, and this was one of the first things that I had to figure out. Here are the steps that I took to get it enabled:
Go to Settings > My Device > Lock Screen
Enable the "Multiple widgets" by checking on the box.
Lock the Screen and Unlock it.
You should see the default clock / personalized message still there. Swipe down on the clock/message and you'll see the box expand. At this point, you can swipe within the extended box left and right. Go to a new tab (will have a plus sign). Select DashClock and there you have it. You'll have to move some stuff around if you want it to be your default lock screen.
Took me a little tinkering, but it's almost to where I want it.

So this will only work if Swipe is enabled? I use pattern and find using both Swipe and pattern redundant. I have to perform two actions to unlock my phone then.

Yeah, never understood why that was like that on my old phone. I have swipe currently enabled right now, I honestly haven't tried with any other unlocking method... Hold on...
Swipe seems to be the only Lock Screen that allows for "Multiple Widgets", other security options do not even allow for the option.
The problem I had with dash clock and Nils was that there is a default notification that takes focus built into the lock screen. I have yet to figure out how to remove that notification. I would always have to swipe left to see my dashclock or Nils notifications. Very frustrating.
True. Even after I've deleted all of the extra lock screen windows and made DashClock my primary lock screen, I'll still see the default/stock notifications window.
I'm wondering if it's a Verizon thing, because I've seen videos where the DC messages notification will pull up correctly (and not to the default bulky notification).
I don't know if you ever found a solutionbut, I ended up switching the message app to handcent and the default notification didn't pop up.
So that's an option.

Thank you

for the life of me i could not find the options to add to the swipe to unlock on dashclock and 2 days later i find your bit here just want to thank you. my mind is not at rest lol
I need the greatest minds on the forum to figure this out.
With cover closed, clock shows but no notifications.
Additionally, clock randomly moves from normal position to the middle of screen and then sometimes nearer the bottom.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks.

Have you checked the settings under Lock Screen and Always On Display / Notifications. It's not really obvious that there are additional settings available under that if you tap on it. Moving clock presumably is intended to prevent burn in.
Thanks for the reply.
Had the phone for a few days and only noticed the clock moving position since yesterday.
Yeah, checked the 'always on display' and then 'content to show' is home button, clock & information.
Clear view cover is on.
As I said, the clock is showing, just won't display any notifications - which is pretty much the whole point of the thing.
(nevermind, I was wrong about my idea)
