While flashing my phone, I apparently softbricked it and I haven't been able to enter download mode to flash back to stock.
Here, I list the chronological actions I took before it softbricked and all the ways I've found across this and many other forums to get into that mode:
1) On my 2.1 Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, I downloaded z4 through my dropbox account and universally rooted the phone.
2) Downloaded ROM manager and installed CWM Recovery. Got ICS Euphoria through my dropbox account.
3) Booted into recovery. successfully created backup. wiped data/cache.
4) Began to flash new ROM. It loads up, I see the Team Passion ASCII logo, I believe, for about two seconds and then it reboots into the screen with Vibrant/Samsung in white text over a black background.
Methods I've tried and that have proven to fail me:
1) Battery out. SD out. SIM out. Hold BOTH volume buttons. Reinsert battery. Boots same screen. (no other response.)
2) Battery, SD and SIM out. Hold both volume buttons, home button, power button. Reinsert battery. Same screen. Release after black screen. Reboots same screen. (no other response.)
3) Battery, SD, and SIM out. Hold vol down or vol up + power. Reinsert battery. Boots same screen. (no other response.)
4) Battery, SD and SIM out. Hold both volume buttons. Plug in USB from PC. Reinsert battery. Boots same screen. (no other response.)
5) ODIN method. I've downloaded the PIT, PDA(tar file) files. Loaded up Odin3 and put them in their respective places in the UI.
Battery out. Hold both volume buttons. Plug in USB. Battery in. Boots same screen. (no other response.)
Again, I've scoured for answers across this and many others forums including youtube videos for hours and I'm at my wits end with no other options and nowhere left to turn.
I am usually a full on DIY guy, so I have never had to post anything before, anywhere and I'm usually pretty good at finding information if it's out there.
PLEASE.
Can somebody help me?
EDIT: after awhile of messing around, I managed to get it into the dashed circle loading symbol screen and eventually the download mode but after two times of successful download mode, turning it off and trying again, now I only get that dashed circle loading screen. My hands are in the air. I give up. I'm just going to order another with the $150 I don't have.

Hmmm...well, let's see. There is a lot to respond to, so I'll do my best to be as clear as possible...But, first and foremost, you need calm down and relax because from what you are describing, you don't seem to be in too bad of shape in regards to getting your phone up and running again.
The first thing I'd like to note is that it seems as though your first problem was trying to flash an ICS rom straight from 2.1. You really should have referred to Wood's awesome "How to update to ICS thread" which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1464423
You never want to jump right into tweaking with your very expensive toys without reading EVERYTHING humanly possible about the subject, because nobody wants a $200 paperweight. With that being said, let's now try and figure out how exactly to fix this problem. I'm not sure what you mean by "dashed circle loading symbol" but you did mention that you were able to get into download mode, which is good.

right?
What key combination did you use to get into DL mode? (There are different ways). My point being, is that if you can get into DL mode, you should be okay...try and get there again and from there use the AIO toolbox to assist in your recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509
So, to review...first get into DL mode again, next plug your device into your computer while in DL mode, make sure AIO toolbox is installed, and that you have the proper drivers installed, and while still in DL mode (as pictured above) and connected to your computer via usb cable, use AIO to flash back to stock. From there, follow Wood's ICS upgrading guide CAREFULLY to get yourself up and running an ICED out device.
Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the reply.
The thing is now, I can't seem to get it back into DL mode no matter what I do.
No manner of button combinations work. Taking out the battery, holding vol +/-, inserting battery and plugging USB up used to do it but now I get nothing. It seemed to work once or twice while in Odin, but during download mode, I still had no yellow COM5 connection and so I would close it, power off the phone and start over. After that second time, it just didn't show up anymore and now all that happens is what looks like a circle with dashes making up the circumference that would typically highlight in a cylindrical fashion while waiting for, say, a youtube video to load, but this symbol doesn't move. It's just frozen in place and the phone only reboots into that screen with the USB in if I power off/on.
thanks again for the reply. I did order a new phone, but I'd love to fix this one and use the other as a backup if possible.
EDIT: Also, I apologize for my rash behavior and bad attitude. I just lost a lot of sleep over this and I had a lot to do today. Haha. I'm sure you've all been there with these issues. Thanks for putting up with me, though.
Worst case scenario you can send it to www.mobiletechvideos.com . For $40 they will do a JTAG fix and unbrickable mod.
Just to be sure, do you have a stock front facing camera?

Update!
Success!
I managed to get it into DL mode again after buying a new USB cable and preparing to make the jig for it.
Now a new issue has come up.
I tried the one-click unbrick java app and have been getting the (phone-!-pc) icon and was prompted to install the USB drivers but they failed to install.
Any ideas?
Thanks so much for your help thus far.
USB debugging mode?
Okay, so after a few more tries and using different apps to install the drivers since Heimdall seems to think they 'are not properly installed', whatever that means, I've come to the point of using PDANet and once installing the drivers again, I was prompted to enter debug mode but.. how am I supposed to do that when all my phone can do is boot loop and enter download mode?
EDIT: After messing around some more, I found USBDeview which allows me to see all USB devices that are either connected or disconnected.
Samsung USB Composite Device and Samsung Mobile Modem both show up in the device manager and under USBDeview they list as connected.
The only thing Heimdall/OneClickUnbrick says after clicking 'unbrick' is "The USB drivers are not installed properly. Attempting to install." and then upon opening Zadig, selecting Samsung USB Composite Device and the Windows 32bit drivers for my Vista OS, the install fails.
Odin just doesn't recognize it at all. Nothing special.
Why aren't they recognizing my phone?
FINAL EDIT: I don't exactly know how I did it and over the painstaking processes that I've been through, I'm groggy, uncollected and somewhat irritable but I finally managed to flash the stock ROM back onto the phone and I am back in business. Thanks everyone for any and all of your help. It was much appreciated!
Good to hear that you are back from the brink. Believe me we have all been there.
Read my ICS install guide (linked above) and if you need any files, they should all be in the Repo thread in the Dev section. Above all, read, read and when you are ready, read just a bit more. That way you will have some foundation for when you are ready to flash and not be reading at the same time as doing.
As fundemental as this sounds, I always suggest it because it gives you a better sense of troubleshooting. I suggest you download some 2.2 ROMs and kernels and try going from 2.1 to 2.2 by using CWR update.zip method, and then Odin back to JFD (2.1) and try another. Do this a few times and you will inevitably run into some issues like the differences of key combos between Froyo and Gingerbread Bootloaders, differences between Voodoo and non-Voodoo kernels,... This will tremedously help when you do take the jump to ICS/JB and the very real possiblity of doing something wrong.
And FWIW, the way you could have gotten out of the predicament in your OP was to re-flash the ROM.zip over itself. 90% of the time that cures the initial flash bootloop on ICS ROMs.
Good luck and if you need anything search first (this device is almost 3 years old, so most problems have already happened/solved) and then ask.
That's awesome corpse! If you need anything don't hesitate to pm me or ask the community if you can't locate the answer.

EDIT : I am now offering a $100 reward via PayPal to anyone that can offer me a solution to this problem. If you do not have a PayPal account, I will mail you a check for $100. Those are my only methods for payment. I am 100% serious about this by the way. From what I'm told, Nandroid backups are stored on the internal SD card, so even once the replacement phone arrives, I could not restore the nandroid backups on the (currently) broken phone over to the new one. I absolutely HAVE to get to those backups, and it is well worth $100 to me. NOTE : to be eligible for the reward, you MUST read the entire thread. I have already exhausted many common solutions to problems like this one, and am getting tired of getting offered the same advice over and over. If you fail to read the thread and offer me a solution that I have already attempted, I will not give you the $100 reward, even if you later are the one that comes up with the solution to my problem.
Please delete my other threads, I can't edit the title on them and they are outdated now.
This is my situation in a nutshell.
Downloaded Obsidian v2, wiped and flashed it. (this is my girlfriend's phone) - she did not like 2.2, so I wiped data/cache and attempted to restore the nandroid backup I had made. After hanging on 'restoring data' for 30 minutes I rebooted the phone, and now I'm here. The phone boots to the Vibrant logo only, I can get absolutely no other logos to show up no matter what I do. I realize now that I needed to flash a 2.1 kernel prior to restoring the Nandroid backup, but on my Droid, when I restore a nandroid backup that includes the kernel, so I did not know this step was necessary.
I have downloaded Odin but I have NEVER used it, so I am completely lost there as well. As far as I know, I simply need to download Odin, and then follow one of the many methods to access download mode. I have tried about 15 different methods of holding the buttons on the phone, plugging in the USB cable at the right time, etc. etc. etc. None of the methods work. The phone boots up to the Vibrant logo each and every time, no matter what. I downloaded and installed the Kies software so the drivers should be installed.
What do I do now? The phone is not hardware locked because I've used the buttons to access recovery many times. Is there a step I'm missing when it comes to Odin or do I just download it and open it? PLEASE give me instructions as if I am a child, because obviously whatever I'm doing is not working. PLEASE no vague instructions. I do not know how to use adb, odin, or basically how to do anything at all with this phone. I am a Droid user, and after I get her phone back to the way it was I will never attempt to hack it again. Thank you.
edit : also, yes I have pulled the SD card/SIM card.
I'm ready to give up on this.. is it possible to return this phone to T Mobile for a replacement, and if so, will her nandroid backups and titanium backup info be stored on her SD card? Then I could just root her new phone and restore the nandroid backup and be done with it. I promise, once I find some kind of solution, I am never hacking a Vibrant again. Far too complicated to hack non-stock google phones.
use Odin 1.3 or maybe higher

I'm at work but do a search for odin 1.3 which worked for me. There is a thread that had all the files you need to get the phone back to stock kernel and all. If you haven't resolved the problem by tomorrow I'll try to find the thread for you or post the files if I can from my computer.
I'm already using 1.3 and I've already downloaded the all in one pack of files I need. Still can't get past the Vibrant screen to use Odin. I'm guessing since nobody has responded back with a way to fix this that I'm hosed, so can I take the phone to a TMO store and get a new one?

Have you tried turning the phone off then while holding the volume down button only, have odin running and plug in the usb cable to the phone? It should power on into download mode like that.

The best phone in the world
I have literally tried every possible combination of holding down buttons, powering up, usb cable in, out, etc. etc. I searched the forum and tried at least 30n different "surefire" methods. Odin always sits there and does nothing, and the phone just goes to the vibrant screen.

I had to build an extremely ghetto Jig, which is just a 301kohm resistor going across pins 4 and 5 of a microusb plug. It sounds hard but its really not that bad, and unfortunately its the only way to get your phone into downloader mode if its hardware locked, like mine is.
As mentioned previously the phone is not hardware locked. I've accesssed recovery several times with the standard methods. Just got back from Tmobile and it will be a week before the new phone gets here. There has to be a way to fix this. Someone please help?
This is pretty weird because if the phone is not hardware locked, there's no reason that you can't get into download mode.
Just to be clear, so are you saying when you hold vol up + vol down ONLY, you will get vibrant screen?
Or when you hold volup + vol down THEN plug in the usb, it goes to Vibrant screen?
You need to be in download mode to use Odin, not recovery mode. Have you ever gotten into download mode via hardware? Was 'usb debugging' enabled? If so, go into download mode and follow Eugene's Froyo that doesn't brick.
I don't know how I can be anymore clear that the phone is not HWL and I cannot access download mode. I'm not trying to be an ass, it's just a very frustrating situation. I know you need to be in download mode to use Odin. I cannot get to download mode or this would be a cinch.
And to the poster before ^ this one, the phone goes to the Vibrant screen regardless of what button combination I press, or whether or not I hit any buttons at all. I've literally tried every combination possible, many many times.
I'm ready to throw this phone out the window. I have a hard time believing I am the only one to ever have this issue. It seems as though the answer to most problems is download mode + Odin but that does me no good.
Is there literally nothing else I can try?
From what I understand email thegreat520 he is supposed to be the guy to talk to I've heard it from a few posts
Still flashing
I know it can be frustrating, but excuse me for starting with the basics...

I had the same issue search my post I used a froyo Rom when the phone 1st came out I download then something went wrong will flashing a new Rom I tried and tried odin did not work bc NO download mode I had got my phone the day it came out I just sent it back to tmobile pm ill explain how
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Same issue
Used download mode many times, then did the same exact thing you did with the obsidian ROM. Now i cant get into download mode at all.
The method that worked 100% of the time previously (holding both volume buttons and then plugging the phone in while odin is runing) does not work. Tried a bunch of different methods and nothing.
There has to be a way to get around this.
OP, please try the method in the general sticky. It seems to fix the HWL issue.
WOW!
Without even plugging anything in, I:
1) Turned phone off
2) Held Vol. Down + Home button + Power
And that got me into download mode. I will proceed to try flashing back to stock now.
I have tried all the methods in the videos, and the issue is not related to the phone being HWL. It is not HWL. I have used the buttons to access the modes before. So please give me something unique to try besides a button combination, because none of them work. Am I literally the only one in the world that has ever had this problem before? I will paypal someone 50 bucks if they can help me fix this and that's not a lie. Her new phone won't be here for weeks and she is currently without a phone. Maybe I'm doing SOMETHING wrong but it is definitely not a button combination. I have literally tried them all, including with the USB cable in and out, and plugging it in at certain times during the process. Don't you normally get a charging icon when you plug the phone into the computer? All I get is the vibrant screen. Even if the phone is off, if I plug it into a computer without hitting any buttons, it turns on and goes to the vibrant screen. 50 dollars via paypal. You can't beat that. If you don't have paypal I will mail you a check, and no this is not a joke.
So I'm pretty much screwed huh? Can someone tell me if nandroid backups are stored on the SD card on the Vibrant? I will just wait til the new phone gets here and put the old SD card in the new phone and restore it if so.
Hi everyone. I have a samsung galaxy s vibrant on android 2.2. I am a total noob with any modifications but am going overseas next month and wanted to unlock my phone. After looking into rooting etc. I downloaded odin and darky's ROM resurrection edition. I followed the prompts to go into recovery and wipe etc. and remove battery and turn back on. After using odin and restarting my phone now just flashes the start screen showing galaxy s GT-I9000. I can't enter recovery mode just download mode. I'm unsure what to do and even tried mounting another recovery file on odin which lead me to the same point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try re-flashing it and see if that works, sometimes that's all it takes. It's possible you just had a bad flash.
I've tried about 5 times now and it seems to keep failing to boot after flash and sticking on the initial boot screen and flashing on and off. Is there a way to download and flash an original ROM and mount on odin to start over?
Try getting into download mode. Hold and continue to hold up & down volume controls while holding in the power button. When the Vibrant logo comes up release only the power button. If you do get into recovery that way scroll down to install zip from sd card and install whatever rom you've got on there that you want to use. Let me know if that works or not.
I can still only get into download mode. I've tried flashing again with both ROMs I have and they both are doing the same thing. Holy frustrating lol

Look for a hard surface... concrete for example.. now take your phone and throw it as hard as you can... Just kidding don't do that, that's a permanent reboot. I know the frustration, I've been there many times. You may want to go back and read through the noob guide, I'm not sure what else to suggest. Hopefully someone else will read this and have a better suggestion. Good luck.
haha yeah the thought crossed my mind. I appreciate your help. I'm still reading through the forum. Most instructions seem to require me to reach recovery mode or usb debugging. My phone is no longer being recognized on the computer but odin is obviously still recognizing so I'm going to try a fresh 2.2 on odin and see if that works.
Good luck, I'm rooting for ya. If that does not work and your close to a T-mobile store I'd just run it in and have them check it out, they may have to replace it.
Thanks again. I'm actually in Canada and using a sub provider from bell "virgin mobile".
Tried to unroot, now I have this. Been trying to flash through Odin (PDA md5 file only), gets to 'system', goes about 10 minutes then fails. Nothing on sd card. Im hoping I can save this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is a retail Wifi.
I have the correct USB drivers and can see it in device manager but not in explorer. I do not have the correct ADB SDK, cant seem to find it.
Been reading several threads and watching vids on youtube, nothing seems to do the trick. Im stuck but hopefully not bumming.
This may or may not work for most but this worked heavily for my 2 units that had the same issue. One with a broken nvflash, the other that faced a bootloop and never booted up again. Took almost a week and I felt almost all hope was gone because the bloody service centre's refused to accept the unit's as they were not purchased from the region, rather online. Scumbag Samsung .
[!] This is usually a 90% fix for both broken nvflashes/deep sleep of death, considering you haven't drowned your Tab by now with no hope . I ask that you kindly attempt this once if you haven't before you QQ to the nearest Samsung center like I did.
- Drain your tablet
And by all mean's do so, The quickest way to get this done in less than 2 days or so (Depending on the battery percent charged) is to get a clear tape and tape around the power button pressed.
- Testing if you have drained it completely/Taped it right.
Connect the tablet via USB to your PC, make sure you have the NV Driver files [http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=1130574]
Just install the driver and proceed to the step where it asks about holding down the [Power button] +[ Volume+] and wait for the constant USB connect/disconnect sounds. It also helps to look at Device Manager to see if it still pops up.
When the battery is completely drained it will stop popping up in the device manager, and your ready to go.
MOST IMPORTANT STEP
You have only 1 and only 1 chance per drain to get this done right. Plug it into the socket charger and see if the charging icon should come up, after being fully drained you should see the charge icon should pop up [100% tested and works, this step is annoying but it's the tablet version of taking out the battery and popping it back in] and what ever you do, DON'T BOOT IT UP NORMALLY, instead press [Power Button] + [Volume -] keys and let go when you see the logo to get into fastboot mode.
Select the android buddy with the [Volume +] key and it will boot into Download Mode.
From here on out everything is easy sailing. Get the right firmware and Odin and flash the firmware you require. It doesn't matter what region you are from, the tablet is made to accept any regional firmware BUT the model number should be the same. Which mean's 7500 for 7500 ONLY.
Edit: Since you have only one chance per drain, I suggest you flash a stock firmware rather than flashing CWM to save it, Because CWM would only fix the recovery, It wouldn't fix the damaged bln. The fastest way to get a stock firmware is grabbing the stock firmware from the Overcome thread

Ok, killed it that long....actually, just havent had time to get into this or deal with the frustration.
Anyway, it did what it was supposed to, meaning the battery icon came on. then I booted to download mode, plugged it in to the PC and it hooked up to Odin. It ported and I started to load the md5 file. I get stuck at the bootloader.bin. Been sitting there for 40 minutes. Has not failed yet. What now??

By the way, about 20 minutes after I posted the screenshot, it failed.
hey everyone, im having a little trouble with my galaxy2.
its the canadian bell hd lte version, unrooted, running gingerbread 2.3.3. obviously i want to upgrade.
im comfortable with the rooting process using odin...etc.
heres my issue, ive done some looking but couldnt find anybody with the same issue or a solution.
upon attempting to enter download mode, with the phone off, using the vol down + home + pwr key, it does just that, totally skipping the "warning!" screen.
ive also found that odin will not recognize my phone, though the computer does, i am unsure if this is because of the bypass of the warning screen? maybe its time for a jig?
tldr phone will go into download mode, but odin will not recognize, no warning about custom os displayed.
thanks for looking.
Only reason I can think of for it not showing the warning screen before going directly into download mode is because you are holding down all the buttons for so long that it uses that as the "up" which it needs to go from the warning screen straight into download mode. *Like if you need to hold for 5 seconds to get into DL mode, try holding for 4.5 seconds so that you know it's booting into DL mode, but that you're certain you're not stilling holding down the UP button prematurely, so that it's going by the warning screen too quickly for you to notice -- if you really care enough at all*
What's most likely going on with ODIN not recognizing your device is that your Phone's Drivers has for some reason not installed correctly on your PC. That's not too rare of an occasion (happened to my brothers phone the other week when I tried to root it - wouldn't install drivers on my pc [thus not showing up in odin], so we had to use his computer (where they were already installed). What you can do (assuming this is the problem) is 1) Try using a different computer, and if you plug the phone in and the drivers do not start installing within the first minute and a half of connection then you can either look at the device option of windows (device and printer or w.e - see if there's an option for drivers, or uninstalling drivers [so that you can re-install] or something like that), or try downloading Kies (now used for official samsung updates), as I believe there is an option there to install your phone's drivers. Hope that helps, lemme know the results. I'm like 80% sure the problem you're having is the Drivers not being installed proplery on the comp.

hey everyone, im having a little trouble with my galaxy2.
its the canadian bell hd lte version, unrooted, running gingerbread 2.3.3. obviously i want to upgrade.
im comfortable with the rooting process using odin...etc.
heres my issue, ive done some looking but couldnt find anybody with the same issue or a solution.
upon attempting to enter download mode, with the phone off, using the vol down + home + pwr key, it does just that, totally skipping the "warning!" screen.
ive also found that odin will not recognize my phone, though the computer does, i am unsure if this is because of the bypass of the warning screen? maybe its time for a jig?
tldr phone will go into download mode, but odin will not recognize, no warning about custom os displayed.
thanks for looking.

Seems a little odd that it's skipping the warning but don't think it's a big issue.
As for the drivers I would suggest downloading the latest Kies software and installing any updates that should install all necessary drivers
I would then reboot computer and not launch Kies or anything else before opening Odin, Whenever I flash my phone I always run Odin from a fresh reboot just so I know that Kies isn't running or anything else to interfere with flashing process.
*Make sure Kies isn't running in the background when flashing things in Odin or strange things happen and flashing can get interrupted leading to possible bricked device.*
Also make sure USB debugging is enabled on your phone when you use Odin.
thanks for the reaponses!
it is wierd that its skipping the warning.
if a person puts the phone in dl mode, and at the warning screen chooses no, what happens? does the phone still go into dl mode or just reboot?
as for odin i cant check at the moment but ill try that, i have a feeling that the warning may have something to do with it, if someone wants to try to confirm my suspicions above?
will get back on the odin issue when i get a chance.
"ive done some looking but couldnt find anybody with the same issue or a solution." ... then look harder.
yea download the kies drivers or install a temporary cwm on your phone and go through that.
still have yet to get to a computer but messed with the device a bit.
it boots in recovery fine, still no warning for download mode.
also, if i dont continue to hold the dl mode button sequence till it goes straight into.dl.mode, the phone boots as normal.
so the theory of holding the buttons too long seems unlikely.

Alright I mean if you can get into recovery mode at this point (and download mode seems to work anyway, just doesn't give warning) shouldn't be a problem. If you do try getting the drivers from kies and use download mode then you can figure out if it's bonkers. If not, just use recovery to flash something and all should be well. That's quicker and easier anyway
Also, you should probably note that since you said you have the "canadian bell hd lte version", that you PROBABLY do not have a GT-I9100. So don't go flashing random stuff from the forum (which is for the I9100) - else I can almost guarantee you will run into problems.
(refer to this article, and this post)
If you are right about having the HD LTE version of the Galaxy S II, I'm betting you actually have the SGH-I757M. (you can verify this by looking on the label under the battery)
That phone (the SGH-I757M) doesn't have a dedicated forum, unfortunately. Your best bet is to search XDA for that model number, like this.
I was feeling generous, so I did a bit of legwork for you. The current latest Samsung official version is still 2.3.6. You can get it from sammobile.com. That will offer only minor updates from your current version of 2.3.3.
There IS the CyanogenMod9 custom ROM for your device, if you want to go that route. It'll be listed on the xda site search for your model number that I linked above.
In any case, I must warn you again against flashing anything that is meant for the i9100 Galaxy S II.
EDIT to add: the fact that the model is different from an I9100 could also explain the lack of a warning screen before download mode. There was no warning screen on my girlfriend's old Captivate prior to download mode, so maybe there isn't one on the SGH-I757M, either.
Hey guys, I'm really hoping someone can tell me of a solution Ive not though of.... So Ive got the note 3 from sprint. currently had 4.4.4. I shoulda just left wellenough alone, I realize, But I tried to flash just a modem via mobileOdin and upon reboot, it will say "recoverybooting" and then I get the blue android. Thats all. This was just over 6 hours ago I did this and Im dead in the water, Ive SEARCHED the internet high and low and there are other facing similar problems, but it seems like every mishap Ive read about EVENTUALLY gets fixed. This just will not do anthing with any button combo as far as recovery and/or download mode. I cant access download mode either. recovery never actually boots, just a forever frozen blue android.. Now, with the phone attached via usb to my PC, it DOES see it as COM7, BUT REGARDLESS what ive tried it just remains at the "recovery booting" spot then blue android until I pull the battery again. Please HELP.! IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS I would be just delighted if you may have some other approaches to this matter. THANKS! Please let me know iTs DESPERATE!

Have you tried removing the battery for a couple of minutes ? If you have read a couple of my threads on NH7 4.4.4, once your there downgrading anything is risky. Here is a link to read http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/help/4-4-4-download-mode-t2877528 . Here is a link for a recovery from a hard brick, by creating a boot image and then copy and paste it on a sdcard http://www.rom-central.com/showthread.php?87-GUIDE-HOWTO-Recover-from-a-HARD-BRICK-N900V-NC2-NC4 there are several sites on this type of fix, I just can't remember where they are. However, I do have something that may help, on one of those sites there was a link for someone who has already created a SM-N900P Unbrick img for Sprint and I downloaded it just in case. Here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6q1152x5c9d4h6/N900PUnbrick my copy. From what I understand you need to format/erase your sd card then copy and paste the unbrick img to the sd card from a PC. Pull the battery and install the sdcard back in the device, then try and boot the phone into download mode. Here is another link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439367 I have not had to do this so you will have to do a little reading to be sure.

The fact that it still shows up as COM is a good sign.
Get a hold of ODIN 3.07+ I had issues with ODIN 3.06.
Here are a few things to try:
1.Take the battery out and hold all the buttons that you normally would to boot into recovery. While holding all the buttons, plug in the usb cable. If it boots into download mode, awesome, just put the battery in before you flash.
2. .Take the battery out and hold all the buttons that you normally would to boot into recovery. While holding all the buttons, plug in the battery. Hopefully it will boot into download mode.
3. try different cables, remember regular micro usb cables work with the note 3.
Make sure you put the modem file in the phone slot, and the rom/system tar in the pda slot.
Best of luck
Thanks for the suggestions guys! Iguess time is just what it needed. I actually fell asleep after trying for so long, and when I woke up I decided to try once more and VOILA... It let me into download mode! Went back to stock and have since been rebuilding . ha! Thanks again
