Sounds like a generic IMEI, also what is it exactly that you are asking sorry?

You are on the wrong forum if you want help cloning another imei. You bought a phone not intended for sale and not intended to work. Nice media player though!

Is this one of the dummy sales phones
If so a search will bring up similar threads if you want to spend time attempting to get it to work.

Hi guys, I've just got my replacement SIM card today but there is no signal for the SIM on my Galaxy SII Gingerbread 2.3.3. I popped the SIM into my old Nokia phone and it is working fine so I'm pretty sure it's not the SIM. I googled and looked around the forum but found no solution. Already message the carrier and they say the phone is not barred while the SIM is working fine on my old Nokia phone.
In the "About phone/Status" the phone number is unknown, network is O2 UK, signal strength is ok, mobile network type is "HSDPA", service state is out of service. IMEI number is normal. When I dial any number it says "mobile network not available".
If this thread existed before, I really apologize for making a new one. Any help is really appreciated
Have you entered the network details in the phones settings ??

Where'd you get the phone? Sounds like it's a SIM-locked phone...

I believe you're referring to the 3g network? If so then my problem lies in calling and texting itself. There is no network signal as there is only a circle with cross. If not, how do you enter the network detail

This phone is an international version I got from my home country Vietnam and it's already unlocked. I was using UK SIM fine until the December holiday. After I returned from Vietnam, the SIM stopped working and I ordered a replacement. Can flashing new kernel affect this cuz I tried some new one during the holiday? The IMEI is still normal though, I checked
i have a problem ...
with miui or wiui , my debit of 3G is bad. I download at 20 ko... with official rom i download a 300 ko ...
why ?
tks

Have you tried the SIM in another phone? Or a different SIM in this phone? Could be either the SIM card is bad (which the replacement SIM will fix), or the SIM card slot on the phone went bad (which the replacement SIM WON'T fix).

Kind of rude to hijack someone else's thread... But I'll answer anyways. My guess is that your official ROM has modems more suited for your country and carrier, and MIUI (or WIUI - never heard of this one) doesn't. You can probably fix with flashing a different modem. But I can't tell you which modem to try.
I have always try e few modem and it's doesn't work .

Try some more. I doubt you've tried them all. Maybe some kind soul who is also on your carrier (which you have displayed on your profile as Orange) in your location (also in your profile as France) can tell you which one.
I popped the SIM into my old Nokia phone and it worked fine so it's not really the SIM. I was thinking maybe there is something wrong with my software but you brought up a good point about the SIM slot I'm gonna try it out and see first
ok . i will try another modem.
thanks
no, it doesn't work ... i have tried a modem who is ok with checkrom or ics or official samsung but don't work with miui . it's strange because it's ok with miui NDT
hi guys, i just got robbed from a thief, is there a way to find my galaxy s2 bought in France SFR operator running ICS with CF-ROOT(chainfire)?
I already reported to the police station, and blocked my sim card from my operator.
I just remembered that i have also samsung dive on my phone so what i am trying to say is:
if my thief recharges my phone battery and without sim card can i localize my phone?
or if he changes the sim card with his one, is then possible to track with samsung dive? or even make a call remotelly?
is there a way to track my phone with my imei code?
is it true that if i report my phone loss in France it will be blocked only here and works in all other country?
where do i check to see if police did a good job (block my phone imei)?
any other help are all welcome!

That`s bad news sorry to hear that, it would definitely help if you would have cerberus installed which is a brilliant phone locator and remote control app but since you haven`t you can try to go to the Samsung Dive website of course and try to find it through it but I never tested Samsung Dive so I can`t tell if it will work.
The key is to be quick now, and just hope that he doesn`t know what`s Odin and that he has no knowledge of flashing other firmwares. Try to install this App if Samsung Dive doensn`t help:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&hl=de
you can just install it from your computer and if the thief is still connected to your gmail account it will be automaticly installed on your phone and it will send the current Phone - position to your gmail address. Just install it and read the instructions.
Good luck with finding your phone mate
now it is mather of time and luck, thanks budy, i try to refresh samsung dive every day to see if someone turn it on
DIVE should be able to help, with the restriction that it needs a data connection of some kind (mobile packet data, or WiFi) to send the commands to your phone. I've configured Tasker to turn my mobile data on daily to anticipate this (I normally keep both mobile data and WiFi turned off, to maximise battery life).
nice tip, i will try to do the same next time
If I would steel someone's phone , I would ask xda same questions no offence dudes.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
Bad news mate, hope you find it
If you do manage to get it back I've heard Prey anti-theft is pretty good
I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S2 from someone and after a month the Sim card did not work, tried other sim card same and I have a feeling that the IMEI is Blocked and I would like to see how if anyone can. Unblock IMEI/ SIM
Cheers
You can't. There's almost always (99.99% of the time) a good reason for a phone being IMEI blocked. Call your carrier & sort it out with them.
Theres a thread about a bird getting a phone back from the police and someone got a barred imei working on vodafone.
The title was "..........came alive".So search for that.
