[Q] A conflit between SH Scripts and Link2SD? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
Is there a conflict between Link2SD and the SH scripts? Half of my scripts aren't working since I installed Link2SD, and I really wish to use a cool script that turn off all the LEDs so I can read in peace at night.
Someone knows a patch or a workaround?
Thank you all!

Regarding init.d script

Hi, this is my first post.
I'm on SkuMIUI 1.9.16, DoomKernel v05 dualrecovery, unlocked bootloader & not good in scripting.
I've tried ZEPPELINROX's tweak on my x10 & it is quite nice. This thead got some tweak that are quite interesting.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227269
So my question are, can it be applied on our x10?
Thanks in advance.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

See here for info on how to test if tweaks work!

Thanks. Some scripts are ok to run.
What about this;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111145
How to ensure/check that the new scripts does not clash with the original script in SkuMiui?
Which script will be load at startup? Especially the vm & taskiller tweak.
Do i need to delete the original script? Or do i need to change the numbering order?
Thanks again.

Speedy 7 + V6

Can you run the Speedy 7 script and the V6 Supercharger script at the same time?
Yes
You would just want to edit out the lines in speedy that reference oom grouping and minfree levels sooooo that the minfree you set with supercharger is used instead of speedy.
I'm rather new to the whole script thing, how do I do that?
Check the thread about how to install v6supercharger on eclipse.
Same idea but you are editing speedymain inside of init.d folder.
I posted in that thread how to do it using root explore . You don't need to do the adb method.
You might not even have to edit those lines out since 99supercharger should run AFTER speedy main. Since it has a 99 in front and.I believe speedymain has an 01 in front?
Did what you said, and my phone is flying now! Thanks so much for your help!
I'm kind of in the same situation, what busybox version would you recommend to run with this since v6 recommends 1.18.2 or lower and speedy recommends 1.18.4?

Both of them will work just fine with busybox 1.19.gitadrynaline.
Or busy box 1.19.3 or 1.19.2
I use Jrummy's busy box installer from market to switch versions
ok thanks a lot!

Tweaks for 5830i

A friend of mine unfortunately has a 5830i. I managed to root it and make a cement backup, but then i noticed that not having an init.d folder nor a modded kernel there weren't many tweaks to apply.
Has anyone got some suggestions about it? For the moment i installed latest v6 supercharger, which seems to work nice.

Isn't supercharger, like all other script needs init.d to run too? How come u can make it work without init.d:/
I'm trying to implement init.d on mine under a Stock Rom. Everything is working, just need to make BusyBox run these scripts at the phone's start up.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
If we manage to do this we can install those custom scripts and even make custom ROMs out of it.

Script manager! XD

I combined Script Manager and these 'hacks' I posted and I think it kinda worked, everything in init.d is being executed on Stock rom of our phone model.

could you go deeper about the how to install?
I know that it needs cwm to be installed but I would be happy to know if somebody uses the rom tool bootstrap what are the results?
does it overwrite with its own bootmenu or what?
how do you configured the installer...I know how...but most people I think would like to know...and I'm just tired and would be happy on my own...just kidding right!

Installs on any bootstraper normally not need to do any cleanup. One of the options the installer is just install plbootmenu that this case will uninstall razr touch black.

right...but something is broken...
I tried to install only the kernel modules selecting just that and even if it says installation succesful I can't see any new modules been loaded ... they are not inside system/lib/modules ... so they aren't copied at all..
stock rooted ics 4.0.4 rom with latest ota update. international razr
Try to mount system under Mount & Format before you flash the modules. Just an Idea, i've not used this Zip. I always apply the Modules manually by put the needed one into the lib/modules Folder and start them through my init.d script.
BTW: That's not an OP which is clear stated. Maybe some more Informations about How To???

Thanx, its real good utility pack with cool installer. Request for new features, e.g. Cyan addressbook, cyan dialer and other cyan features!
Please, add Apex Launcher and QuickPic as option, and more bootanimations, of course =)
sorry for the OT question...
does somebody know how to change moto gallery with another one even for the camera app?
cause camera app even if you freeze or delete the stock one does not find the alternative one you install.
is there some solution ?
I really can't stand the motolag gallery....I got a sgs2 and every time I use its gallery and after use the moto one...I want to cry
however I'm using 900-1050-1100-1150-1200 mv for the cpu and I really doubled the standby time which is great and the device stay way cooler even when stressed
I have MIUI installed as 2nd system. Can I use this as is or should I convert it with BootMenu?

It will be apply to 1st system only. Hi) But, i think you can easily modify scripts for 2nd system
Works fine for the second system after the conversion with BootMenu.

Any performance init.d scripts?

Hello
I've just got a 101 G9 Turbo and just SDE/rooted it, but there seems to be little in the way of performance tweaks.
I've got an LG Optimus 2X phone and theres all sorts of tweaks in the init.d folder and was woundering if theres anything we can do to the G9 to give a bit more performance?
Something like this?? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730872&highlight=dalvik
Will the above work on the G9?
Most of the tweaks in general android section should work. Personally i prefer using Supercharger, which works fine for me. I do not see reason why the tweak you posted wouldn't work, if the system supports it. If there are problems with the script starting, use script manager to run it on boot.

Do you have a link for supercharger? Did you apply the it your self or was it already in the rom? Which Rom are you using?
Sorry for all the questions
EDIT: found it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276

I'm using 4.0.7 rooted & deodexed. I applyed it myself. I didn't get whole 100% supercharge, so I had to use script manager to start supercharger script on boot.

Cheers julle131, just seen the ultimate guide link in your signature...
...the problem I always have with tutorials is they tell you how to install/do stuff but not why you should i.e. the benefits.
I'll try the supercharger tonight, I'm using go launcher HD, is that the one that everyone recommends, I use the normal go launcher ex on my phone that why I used the HD version.
