Patent office is not the court that is going to make the final decision here.
Well of course not but 99% of the time they are gonna side with them. Most judges won't pretend to know more about patents than the patent office. I think apple is screwed here but we'll see.

The reason they haven't is a love-hate relationship. Sure, Samsung probably hates the law suits, but they surely LOVE their displays being purchased and used in the iSheep devices. Samsung is guaranteed sales revenue from both the iPhone and their Android devices.

Samsung isn't going to be making any displays for apple come Q1, 2013.
Also, Samsung doesn't design chips for Apple anymore (starting with the A6 and A6X) they only manufacture them just like they also manufacture the Snapdragon S4

Berkeleys's impact on Jobs is abundantly obvious when you consider how Jobs ran Apple. Especially with regards to the iphone.

Is it just me or is everyone freakin amazed at the abilities of all the Devs that get all these android systems to work on our phones that werent even made for our phones. I just sit back in total awe at the work these men and women do (yes there are women that do mods and such). Not only do they do these things free of charge, but very few ask for anything in return. The least we can do as flashers is help them all out with small donations. A dollar goes a loooooooong people. As a member of the marine core i do what i do to serve my country just as these Devs do for us. So please give whatever u can.....thanks for your time........DEV ON!!

I'm in the Marine Corps, OP. I'm not sure what a Marine core is, and highly doubt anyone that would spell it core isn't in and if you actually are I'm surprised you know how to flash. Not trying to flame, but if you're going to say you are part of my beloved Corps you could at least represent it right.

I lived in Philly for a couple years and still miss the hell out of it. I lived in North Philly (yeah I know, all I could afford at the time) and used to go to the Italian market in South Philly at least 3 times a week. Also used to go to a ton of Phillies games before they were good and were still at the Vet. Good times!

The interesting thing this time is that they are actually claiming that Android itself infringes on their patent, and they have already previously won against HTC in court. HTC was able to "work around" the issue to avoid the infringement, but they still technically lost in court and were originally found to be infringing on Apple's patents.
My point is, if they are able to seal a victory against HTC in court again, this time they can use the ruling against other Android manufacturers.. This case could turn out to be a very in important one for Android to win.
They're crying because of the IDC report that is putting Windows Phones ahead of them in worldwide market share by 2016. It's like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum when they get bad news. Might as well go after HTC since they made the modifications last time.

Anytime someone tries to tell you that free-market capitalism leads to monopolies, use Apple as an example against that.
Apple is becoming a monopoly because governments and their courts are allowing them to. These cases should be thrown out of court, but I'm guessing Apple has influential connections and allies.

I agree. I bet the judges have iPhones and ipads and macs. They probably pay them off with free products for life if they find in their favor. Apple could find a way to win as a lot of htc devices still infringe patents such as our rezounds, EVO 3d, shift, just to name a few

I understand defending your business, and I'm not against litigation by any stretch, but the calls for Google to "destroy" Apple is what I was talking about.

I've wanted to try Windows Phone for a while now, but I can't bring myself to get locked into a two year contract with a phone I'm not sure I'll enjoy. WP8 looks like it's going to be good, but I've heard that no phones that are out now will get the update. Plus Sprint only has the HTC Arrive which is pretty old.
But if they could get a WP to run Android.. I'd be all over that. Especially one of those Nokia Lumia's.

I was in the same boat, got the arrive for under 100 from Ebay after my epic shattered epicly. It held me over until the evolte. I loved wp 7. Always smooth, never ever stuttered, even on old hardware. The apps, or lack thereof, killed me. That's not to say there aren't any, just a few key ones missing.

Maybe I'm confused but that site clearly states the the source code for the Amaze ICS version and give gives a download link for said source code release! So what exactly am I missing here. Thanks for your response well whatever gets here lol

Did you mean new phone? I'm confused ha and yeah apple as a company I can't stand. I'd buy an ipad If the price was right and I had the cash but this is not currently the situation. I have an ipod touch I got dang cheap. But still hate apple ha.

Yep I meant phone, dang stupid auto correct exactly, ipad is good product, but ui is bad, customization is horrendously limited, why do you think all I phone users have same ring tone? They don't know how to change it

I did network administration for apples central headquarters here in Austin Texas, and network engineering for Microsoft when I was going to school in Seattle, so I think I know a little about what I'm saying here. No flaming from me either. Although if your statements are directed at anyone in particular I think you've got some anger involved. But I think you're just making the general statement. I don't like apple because, (while ignorance is bliss) I feel they prey on the less tech savvy their product mark up is ridiculous and they are in my opinion deceitful with their customers, who aren't as tech savvy subtly convincing them that (as am example) they must buy the $50 apple brand fm transmitter rather than the $5 non-apple one that does the same thing. And similar such stuff, now... Do I think that Microsoft is righteous and upright in their business practices... Probably not but I do know I bought a $300 Intel Core 2 duo laptop last year that would have cost upwards of $1200 if it had an apple logo on it and was running... Snow Leopard or wtf the current mac os is.
