So in conclusion, before the lock..............see yah! (See what I did there!)

Alright then.
But, in my defence, I did ask wich is the best for battery life, not in general

Dude, you can't basically ask a "what is the best xxxx for yyyy" sorry though, you gotta try it out yourself since they vary with personal preferences

I suspect there might be an app that is causing wakelocks, draining battery unnecessarilly, try using betterbatterystats to find out which application is the culprit.
I used cpuspy and just uninstalled applications one at a time.

The ugliest, least functional one you can find. Whichever one makes you stop using your phone.

You're welcome, enjoy the infraction for your unique thread (reported).
Nobody can recommend a ROM/kernel to help with battery problems because everybody uses their phone differently, the only way is to try them until you find one you like.

[Q] Best ROM for normal user? (with overclocking)

Hey guys,
Tomorrow i've been challenged to root my mates international S3 (i9300) i have the unified root tool ready on my laptop, but now i need to find a rom, and there are a lot out there...
What he needs is a Stock ROM, with overclocking and maybe some other cool features (like multiwindows) and it needs to be android 4.1
Any suggestions please? and a link would be good so i don't have to search through the forum, there are a lot of roms!
Cheers
Andy

Best Rom/kernel threads are banned
It's kind of unfair on the devs to pitch them against each other and it is totally subjective depending on how you want your phone to look/run, so that's kinda the bottom line

Best rom threads are banned, I could suggest a few that I like, but they might not be what you are looking for.
One persons best rom is not anothers.

Here's an example I like UltimaROM because I can have the look and feel of AOSP, but the stability and features of TW, other people will prefer Omega, some people will just prefer stock with a custom kernel.

I'd say, don't. Never flash stuff on either mates phones or family/relatives' phones. If anything focks up, they'll hold you responsible, even if it's because of simple user error.

Rom and launcher lightness

I'm looking for the most light, energy saver, fast rom/launcher for I9100.
Any suggestions?
Hey, try the new JB 4.2.1 Roms.
At all it has a really good battery life and is mostly black/grey and Blue.
For example RootBox, JellyBam or CM10.1

Try a different forum, XDA isn't for you.

I understand, but it depends on your personal settings, tweaks, usage, rom/kernel-combinations that fits YOUR phone-usage, etc.

The 2300 is a genuine Samsung battery, so you get a 10% improvement, not to be sniffed at imho

Thanks for the link. It was also useful for me.

Which rom is best for my S3???

The only reason i stayed with my phones custom rom is because of its stability and cool functions. I have tried cyanogen mod 10 before but it was buggy but really made my phone faster and saved more battery. But i went back because of the bugs and features of my stock rom. So i was wondering which rom would bring out the best out of my S3 in terms of speed, battery saving, functionality and stabilty?? Thanks!

Sorry, Best ROM threads are against the rules. "Best" is subjective so you have to try them yourself. What's best for me is not best for you necessarily.
Oops, sorry im new here.. hehe. well i guess thats what i have to do.
