I had Been Trying To Install CWM On My Sola ICS Locked Bootloader Since A Couple Of Days Now...
And Have Seemed To Successfully DO So...
So heres A Small Tutorial How You Can Also Install CWM On Your Sola Locked Bootloader ICS
TRIED AND TESTED BY ME WORKING 100% AND TESTED FLASHING ROMS TOO
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY KINDA DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE !!!
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!
Instructions :-
1) Install All Drivers
2) Root Your Device With Bin4ry's Method
3) Download The CWM Installer File From Below Link ie; v 1.0 (ALL CREDITS TO THE MODDER/MAKER/WHO HELPED)

4) Reeboot Your Device
5) Wallah You Have CWM on your device !!!
NOTE:- TO ENTER RECOVERY SPAM THE SONY LOGO AS SOON AS ITS SEEN ON THE SCREEN TILL PHONE VIBRATES AND ENTERS RECOVERY
Roms Flashed Sucessfully And Tested !!!
1) Infinity by Acervenky (thanks to him for his roms)
2) Dynamic by Acervenky (thamks to him for his roms)
3)xICS Hybrid By Nectron (thanks to him fro his ultimate rom)
Tested xICS HYBRID :
Instructions For Installing:-
1)Download Rom
2)Extract And remove image file
3)Repack again
4)Flash Through CWM
PS:- Please Dont Super wipe as told in the installation instructions provided by nectron in his tutorial !!!

Delete boot.img in zip,and try it.Maybe it'll work.

works very well. thanks for the tutorial. though initially i couldnt get to the cwm menu, i had to tap on the screen when on the sony logo while booting and after that it would vibrate and one last touch, voila you're on your cwm menu.
p.s i hadn't noticed the screen tapping instruction to get into the cwm menu

by the way the rom is awesum but backup when restored doesnt show the apps which where backedup in menu ???
Edited : the super clean up kills the phone... Device gets stuck up on boot on Sony logo!! Will try flashing wdout cleanup...

1)Download the from
2)Place it in your internal memory
3)Reboot your device in Recovery
4)Scroll down to the option install zip from SD card, Click on it
5)Choose the zip from SD card
6)Flash the zip
Done!!! Reebot your Device

yes man, i know, but i have micro sd card on phone, and when i´m on cwm, only internal memory 4gb are disponible... micro sd card doesn´t show...
for example, i want make a backup, the backup files are on the internal memory and not on micro sd card, understand me? If i wanna restore, the backup appears on internal memory.
Another thing, if i wanna put a custon rom, the rom file can be accessed if been on internal memory... if been on sd card, i can´t put custon rom because de micro sd doesn´t appears...

What you can do is just swap the external to internal memory and problem solved

im a newbie so i cant post on the development thread.
i just installed the gingerdx v14 re-up, and it seems it doesnt recognize my sd card.
when i use the camera it says "mount sd card to use camera" or something like that.
i tried to do what they said, format it to fat or fat32..
nothing happened.. anybody help?
btw its a great rom and really fast!

it says sd card has been removed, even though it's there..
but if i really remove the sd, the phone notifies me that i removed the sd.
when i use card reader, the computer recognizes it..

not partitioned, i think its just the stock from store.. never did anything with it..

well, i came from stock 2.1 eclair.. rooted it, installed clockwork module, then did this:
Download GDX_XXX.zip to your sdcard storage on your Xperia X10 Mini Pro
Boot into Recovery through whatever method you choose
Back up your existing installation
Use the volume keys to select Factory Reset and push home button
Select Install Zip from SD Card
Find the GDX_XXX.zip file you downloaded earlier
Scroll through and hit Yes, install GDX_XXX.zip
Wait for the installation to finish
Select Reboot
After initial reboot, reboot a second time and you're all set.
everything is fine except that it doesnt detect sd..
i have just read that i shouldnt install the re-up version..
re up for unlocked bootloaders add modules for not unlocked ok bro pm me if your stuck try format on pc not phone kk

so now you just need to flash GDX modules if what eyama said is the truth
if it doesn't work, flash v14 and not v14 re-up

he tried with phone since it didn't change anything to format via PC.

i m using sony ericsson xperia arc s i have rooted my phone few days ago everything was ok i have root through flashtool method and i think 587 kenel was used. i dont know about roms kernel n etc etc i have read the thread and root my phone last night i tried to install font changer i granted superuser request and phone is restarting and then stuck on bootloop first it shows sony screen and then xperia screen and again restart and this process go on what should i do plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help this is my first andriod phone so i dont know about android.....

Flash boot new kernel, enter recovery mode (tap volume down on boot till recovery loads), goto advanced, mount SD card to PC, drag and drop ROM to SD (if using ICS kernel use ICS ROM etc) unmount SD on phone goto install zip from SD then find your ROM and install

Hello, if I want to install a new kernel, which file do I have to move on my SD card ? I downloaded a tft file, when I rename it to .zip, there are lots of .sin files. So do I have to put the whole .tft (in a .zip format) on my SD card or kernel.sin ?

Put it anywhere. It's recommended to make its own folder so you could know where you've put it.
PROTIP:
There are instructions in kernel thread. Files are already in required format and you shall not change their extention!

You have given inadequate data.
Did you do anything to your phone before? Did you root it? Unlock the bootloader? Flash custom ROMs/Kernels?

Acctually i was in trouble that what happened with my LWW. My device iz only rooted & bootloader iz looked. I haven't install any Rom/Kernel. I have just created the Partition of my SD card to increase the space of my device.

Try using another SD card,maybe the Partitioning is causing this.
Please also try flashing back your device using flash tool.
Delete the partition if that doesn't work set the sdcard partition as logical and active..
Are u tryin to install link2sd or a similar app that shifts your apps from internal memory to a partition on sdcard...?
If thats the case then both partitions need to be logical and primary..

Hi android geniuses ,
i have xperia neo GB 2.3.4 rooted with unlocked bootloader , overclocked with setCPU
every thing was perfect until my phone became laggy ad crappy ,, it takes ages to comply an order or to open an application so i decided to reset it and re-flash the rom (4.0.1.A.0.42) and i did it and it was ok until i did OTA update to .62 and it was downloaded successfully and on installing, the screen went off for long time and when i tried to open the phone nothing happened so i reflashed the same rom several times and after each time i push the power button , the flash light flashes green for second and go off and so on as long as i am pressing the power button
Now what should i do ?

You shouldn't use ota update when you have an unlocked boatloader...you will need to fota unbrick it...try this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324707

so the solution provided in your reply relocked the bootloader ?
when i checked trackID i found it with error which means that the bootloader is still locked ,,, or this was just a bypass step ?

No it doesn't relock...it just repairs files which got corrupted due to ota...ya you lose root when you flash stock firmware... You will have to re root again...

sorry dude , you've been following my story so now i have 16 GB sdcard ,, and i used partition wizard to resize it to allocate 1.5 GB for the internal memory and everything was Ok ,, then i installed link2sd and it coldnot detect any 2ry partition ,, i rebooted and phone couldnot detect any sdcard at all and when i try to load it on cardreader the PC asks to format the disk and after formatting via pc when i insert the sdcard in the phone it restarts automatically
i did a factory reset and formatted the sdcard but the same scenario happened , i tried to delete the create new partition and the same went like before :S
i am desperate please help me

put your sdcard into other mobile format .... this type of problem i faced before i used nokia mobile to format sdcard :victory:

after surfing this problem a lot "i mean the original problem which drove me crazy which is sloooooowww crappy phone " over the web , i deduced that it's mostly due partitioning by (minitool partition wizard) and using Link2sd to expand my internal memory ,, it hepled in adding memory but it made the phone tooo slow ,,, i googled an alternative and found 4ext but i think it's for HTC devices ,,

if your sdcard is new you can create partition ext4 using cwm recovery .... or use minitool first partition fat32 and other partition ext4 almost all kernels support this ... than use link2sd ... choose in option new apps to sd :good:

I recommend you to use mini tool partition wizard.
First of all, make sure you have a class 4 or higher sd card. (usually, there's a small circle with a number in it)
If your sd is class 4 make an ext2 partition, if it's 8, 10 or higher, you will be able to make ext4 partitions work.
Don't forget to set these partitions as primary.
Hope it helps.

After installing this mod overwhelming number of applications and games will see your sd card as internal memory and internal memory as sd card that allows you to install much more heavy games.

Some games still install cash in the real internal memory, but there are not many.
Requirements:

CWM recovery
Installation:
Download .zip archive for your firmware.
Place it to sd card.
Go to recovery and do Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Install .zip from recovery.
Reboot the phone.
Run RootExplorer (or any other file manager) and transfer the folder Android from /sdcard to /sdcard1. Also you must transfer folders of the other apps (Titanium backup, for example).
To undo changes:
Download cancell .zip archive for your firmware.
Install it via CWM.
Transfer back all replaced folders.

yes it works even on .284 firmware.
i just noticed after installing some games, it still consumes the memory of the internal storage (5gb) and does not consume the external sd card? i thought it will be installed in the memory card?
Will this work on odex rom too? Or do i have to deodex my rom?

yes. it eats up some internal memory(5Gb). mine has 1.9gb now from 4.9gb internal.

so in short. this mod does not automatically save the data files on the SD card?
Has anyone experienced Problems with Whatsapp? It seems the old media is not linked anymore after applying this mod. But new Pictures are saved accordingly.

but i dont know is this rom ODEX or DEODEX and im very confused!

If after rooting you have run a script or flashed using cwm then you will be deodexed.
if not then you are still odexed easy too check look in system/app if you see odex files or not.
Odex files = still odexed
No odex files= deodexed
