Hey guys,
This came with my Rarz XT910 when I bought it in Argentina and I was wondering what its for? It just seems to plug in to the micro usb and hdmi ports and on the other end it has the same ports. Don't really see its necessity.
Anyone else has it and know what it does?

Never mind. I found out it's a webtop adapter. I found it on youtube and also noticed that it's not useful anymore since the ICS update.

Hey guys I bought the authentic Samsung MHL (HDMI) adapter for my phone and when I plug it in nothing happens. When I connect it to the tv, nothing. I am on Unnamed 2.1
Any suggestions on settings or apps or is it the rom?

Do you have a power cable connected to the adapter? It requires a power source to work.

Let us know. I bought a menotek and it wont hold a connection. I had to get up 2x each movie just to push on the cable. I need to know if the Samsung does the same. If so, this whole feature is worthless.
Check the other thread on here started by bw31 something i wrote a lot on this subject. I'm running unnamed 2.2.1 works perfectly

You're not an idiot, you just didn't read the directions. I would have done the same thing if I hadn't already read through these threads, considering I never read the directions.
Does anybody know if the att note is compatible with the MHL adapters?
I bought one a while back for the sgs2 but never used it and tried using it today with the note but nothing showed up on the tv. Has anyone else tried one, or did I just get a bum adapter

yes... did you plug in the phone's power cord to the adapter as well?
Yea they do work. I used the one that came with my infuse and it works fine. You do need to plug the power adapter into the side for it to work however.

Thanks for your responses, I already tried that but there was a loose connection between the adapter and the power cord... Looks like I'm going to have to perform surgery on the adapter to try to fix it

Hello all I just had a quick question concerning the ics roms. Do you they have usb host functionality because I am about to buy a micro to female usb adapter and wanted to know if this would work? Im pretty sure it is going to work but i am unsure

gr8... actually i have one but my OTG is not working so hoping cable is faulty...
BTW I am on EU leak currently..
I'm wondering too. Don't have a cable yet, but no sense in buying one if it doesn't work.
It won't work only with OTG cable.
You need a HUB (generic USB 2.0 hub) plus a cable between the OTG and HUB that powers both the HUB and the Phone externally.

Maybe this thread helps you more as it is the original one specific to OTG cabling on GB which should work also on ICS (It would be nice if anyone could confirm this).

I received my OTG cable today. As has been stated previously, it works but only when run through a powered hub.

the phone got bricked when i was restoring using rsdlite and the battery died after a failed cm9 flash. i know the phone is fixable but i cant bother to do it myself. i will give a factory cable adapter if you buy the phone cause i have no use of it. also i dont have the factory charging cable and power adapter. although i may be able to send it to you later because i left it at my parents house.

where would i find the programme-connecting line.. my phone is dead and stuck no bootloader please help me. thought about removing battery but that might not be the best idea

I believe he means the stock usb cable that shipped with the phone.

basically is connecting the unused pin on the usb cable to Vcc 5v .
if you search TEAM BLACK HAT programming cable or adapter you will know what im talking about
