Do the mismatched alert bubbles between missed calls and txts bother anyone else? I have attahced some screen shots for reference. Text and Email are solid green and Missed Calls are black with a green outline.
Before I spend alot of time on trying to figure out where HTC has hid the SMS and EMAIL alert bubbles in Sense 3.6 I figured I would ask in here first. I've search a couple of time and have not been able to find any answers.I've been out of the ROM cooking/theme scene for a while now and with sense 3.x and beyond, HTC has moved the locations of the alert bubbles that are displayed when you get new TXT or Emails. I'm assuming they are now stored in the .m10 files but don't know which apk. I'm sure if I dumped alot of the common files and decompiled them and extracted the m10 files I'll find them. Just hoping someone has already done this and could help.

Update: RESOLVED
Fixed this issue. I have attached a zip file that can be installed from recovery that will address the Email alert bubble only by replacing mail.apk. This apk will also enable HTML for Hotmail active sync. I have tested this on Sense 3.6 roms based on 2.89 and 2.95. Make a backup before installing.

•After enabling the HTML option in your account settings, existing messages will still be plain text. Any new messages will be in HTML format.

I have resolved this annoying issue. First I moved to Cool ICS Rom and the text alert bubble was updated, however, the email bubble was still the plain green one. I also noticed that I could not set my Hotmail ActiveSync account to HTML. This was rather annoying since I could not read most of the emails because they were being displayed in plain text. I have attached a zip file to the first post that resolves both of these issues.

I use Go SMS on CM 7.0.3 ROM. I frequently (2-3 times a day) get a weird text alert as you can see below.

As you can see, it says 7pm (and always does regardless of actual time), has no sender, has no content, and does not show up when I actually launch either Go SMS or the regular messages app. It is like a ghost alert with no real message attached. Has anyone else experienced this? What causes it? How do I stop it?

Yes I do also get this. I have a DroidX with gingerbread. I get it probably more than 3 times a day. I only get it with an actual text message. i have not been able to figure out what is causing it. Please figure out!!!

I get it everytime i get a normal text.
Anyone figure this out? I just switched from Handcent to Go SMS a few days ago and am now getting these "ghost" messages.
My *guess* is that this may be caused by a combination of Go SMS and some other app. I've recently reset my phone and removed a lot of apps and widgets (like Fancy Widgets and Beautiful Widgets) and haven't had the problem since. Makes me think it may be a widget update of weather or something that is causing this.

I agreed - something to do with MMS notifications and multiple notifications accumulating.
Ive been having it for a little while now, maybe the last month and a bit.

I`m new, so be gentle. I have a little problem with my SGS2 Social Hub Email. It works just fine with the "push email"/premium thing, but i cannot acces my email folders like "Sent"/"Work". For example, i click on the "inbox" tab and go to "Sent" folder. On the bottom of the screen i get "Refreshing" message and after few seconds it dissapears leaveing a black screen (no messages). I have a Google and a Yahoo account. This thing happens with both.
So what is the problem?! Help!
Well if you haven't sent any message/email it would remain blank, I mean it won't get synchronized with server, I am having the same issue, don't know if this is normal or not.

I don`t think it`s normal. If so, then what`s the point showing the folders, but not the emails. Let`s say I send a message from my computer and later I wish to resend it, this time from my phone. Where am I suppose to find the message ?!
Surprinzingly, after trying and trying, one of the folders got synced. Do not know how, do not know why it`s the only one that synced. It`s not like it has something different than the other folders.
There must be something we`re missing...
Well I found it, its not there in Sent folder but in Gmail/Sent folder, thats because I am using Gmail, you could have different with other email client. Now one thing I noticed, the above is applicable when you select Non Premium/POP/IMAP account, but if you select it then there will be three things missing,
1- No Sent folder. I mean the above.
2- No option of 'Load more messages'. Thats damn boring, how to get rid of that?
3- There is No Outgoing server settings.
But the good point is the Sent Emails will be shown in default Sent folder.
But as there are more negatives than positives, I am good with Standard mode rather than Premium.

there are a lot of threads/posts on the forum with moded phones.apk to display bigger contacts pictures, i already tried a lot of phone.apk's and none of these are working fine in our galaxy ace (FC), maybe someone can do it?
i already tried to modify the xml files, but i got a lot of errors when compiling the apk and i don't even know if im right with some values (my first try doing something like this hehe)
yes, i know there is an apk called full screen caller id, but i like more the "android" style.

i am also searching for modification of phone.apk.
this would be nice ... the only mod i managed to do with success on phone apk was changing that horrible green background ... bigger picture sizer would be awsome!
I upgraded my i-727 from 4.2.1 (stock AT&T rom) to the Supernexus 4.4.2 rom (clean flash with ClockwokMod Recovery). I really like it a lot. It is a lot faster then my old bloated stock rom that had become super sluggish and glitchy. There are a couple of things that I really miss from the old rom though, that I would like to get back if I can.
There were two features that I really liked in the old 4.2.1 stock rom that are not present in Supernexus 4.4.2. There was notifications (shortcuts actually) on the lock screen for missed calls and new text messages, and there was also notifications that appeared on the the app icons on the home screen that alerted me to new emails, missed phone calls and new text messages. I don't know the proper terminology to calls these home app icons that showed these notifications, I just call them "Live Widgets". If that is incorrect, please tell me the proper name.
I have looked all over the play store for a lock screen app that would bring back the missed call and new message notification and active shortcuts to my lock screen and have not found anything even remotely similar in appearance and function. As far as the Live Widgets that used to show how many new text messages, missed calls and emails I had; in the Supernexus rom, Hangouts has replaced the messaging app that came with 4.2.1 and it does not offer a live widget and the same is true for the email app and the phone dialer.
To give you a better understanding of what I am talking about here are a couple of pictures from my old lock screen and home screen from 4.2.1. The functions came standard in that rom and were not something that I added or customized. I would really like to get them back if I can.

Also, really sorry the long description. But this is best I can describe it with as best info provided
Having an issue with WhatsApp strangely backing up/saving GIFs that I am looking at/scrolling through when replying to someone, and its backing up/saving the GIFs to my Google photos/ OnePlus Gallery.
All I am doing is looking at the gifs, not saving them, not clicking them. Just looking/scrolling through them. If I scroll/look through 6 gifs, it will save 6 in total. If I look at 20 gifs, will save 20 etc... I did a test to see what settings made this happen;
-Show media gallery is ticked on, and the Media Auto Download (using mobile datal, Wi-Fi and roaming) is on made the GIF backup happen.
-Then, having Show media gallery on, and Media Auto Download off still made it happen.
-Then having both off still backs them up.
I have found that if I view the GIFs in WhatsApp when replying, then go to Google photos>Device folders, it all of a sudden loads the GIFs I viewed in a folder called gif preview cache. I then go to OnePlus Gallery and then it automatically shows them there!. There is some correlation here but can't figure out This is the odd thing, if I was to view GIFs in WhatsApp again, then view in OP Gallery first, it doesn't show them. I have to go to Google photos> Device folders first for it to somehow display them there, then the gallery when I go to it after!
Does this make sense? Its been driving me nuts!
I also Emailed WhatsApp and they said: On Android, it's not possible to preview WhatsApp media files without downloading them to your phone. Auto-download only controls whether this is done automatically, or upon tapping on the file . Remember, I am not clicking on the media/GIF which saves it. I am merely looking/scrolling through them!!
