[Q] In-Call Volume is very low - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hello,
The problem came after I newly flashed MIUI JB on my Neo V. I was on CM9 before and the in-call volume was fine.
This made me unable to phone when i am outside.
It got very anoying, so i flashed AOSP JB on my phone. BUT the in-call volume is still extremly low.
I got to a conclusion that the problem must be somehow connected with JB (cause in ICS it worked and cause i tried two different JB ROMs)....
Hope someone has a solution for me.

try the Pacman rom based on 4.1.2 . Im using it and there's no such bug. I was also on cm9.1 before. AOSP Jb has this bug. you can also try AOKP jb (proximity sensor doesnt work in b4) where the bug is fixed.

Thank you for responding.
I'll try out AOKP.
And btw, I dont need to full wide when i come from AOSP JB, do I ?

Not needed. But still, its better. Also proximity sensor doesn't work.. which is a bummer.. u can try Pacman instead
Sent from my Xperia Neo V

Well, Pacman does have a lot of features.. maybe too many for me.
I like it light and simple.
And that sensor - I can live with that. But ty for the advise!

Look at is a test all ROMs in one flash rom
And u don't have to use all them

Well, I'm quite statisfied with AOKP JB. It has enough features and I even bought Nova Prime.
It's awesome. And everything exept the sensor is working - but we have to wait for the next update, right :good:
Thank you so much for helping me out!

All ginger - very fast fully functional but really old.
Official ics - Laggy , self rebooting sth , Fully functional
CM9 - smoother but torch and camera flash need patch to fix. CM9 have none of XLOUD , BRAVIA , Dual mic need patch to fix. Camera performance is drop down from official. i don't know why. may be it cause by sony camera app ( we can not port sony camera app to CM9 for now )
CM10 and Jelly rom - Alpha one. fast but extremely not fully functional ( i think)
Every one here love to use Official ics as base ( MIUI , Tweaked rom or what ever ) cuz it fully functional.
for me, I need some rom that use CM9 stable version as base. cuz it was super fast.
I want a rom for locked bootloader, I cant unlock my bootloader on my phone bcuz my carrier has locked fastboot mode
how did carrier lock fastboot mode .. .___.
Currently stripped customize Official Stock ICS firmware is the best choice for Xperia ray. But most dev here are focusing on CM10 development. I recommend you to join and develop with them to get stable Jelly Bean.

Hi, I would definitely go for something stock-based, quite lite, similar to JJ's Hybrid ROM, but faster like RayOniumICS and with loooooooot of customisatinos. I like all the present ROMs but every ROM has something. It would be nice if you could take the best from each ROM and put it together. Oh and please don't forget the CRT effect from CM9 I'm a big fan of that. I would also suggest to make some addons as well because developers usually like to their ROM without the SONY stuff like 3dcamera, Timescape...
i'd like to see tweaked miui rom, with alot of customization of course.
miui is great on customization, and i like my phone being different
If you could develop an app or mod to enable ad-hoc WIFI support that would be great.
I see many great ROMs here, but some of them lack this support.

Xperia Jelly Bean.

Sony is not giving us jelly bean as you all know...!
So,why don't we do it ourselves..
We will make a ROM which would look like as if Sony has made it...
If we all do it together its not impossible and we can do it...!
We will make a group and take some developers, themers, beta testers and do it...!
If enough people are in we will do it then...!
I can be the beta tester....!
So who all in write +1 and we'll make a group...!

IMHO, CM10 is faster, AOKP faster too (antutu points & real gaming show it). Tested all. Stayed on CM10.
You guys say that .. oh we are goan be team and everything is possible. Well No. For JB sony has to make good drivers. We dont have drivers and thats why jb is crappy a bit. At first its super smooth. But if you install your apps and do daily stuff. you will notice that in ics its faster to do those stuff and its bugless too.
Well i am some kinda dev(bad one only soft modding and some theming) and i can say that its not easy. Well i ahve in mind how to do a sony look jb. But i have no idea how to work with this crappy linux(i know its gud but my pc uses raid so linux cant be installed.
Well its not easy. And in rays forum no one will care. Well eventualy someone could take a look. So if there is any gud dev that can help me make that i was talking about pelase pm me. (Dont pm me crappy messeges about " oh great i love you roms can i be a tester i wanna test you are great" etc

I don't think so. I use CM 10 (used PAC & AOKP before) for several days, with many apps installed! And the phone still smooth, smoother & faster than ICS, especially in games.
There are two main options:
Make a CM9/CM10 theme: pros: wider userbase, available in Play Store
Make a MIUI V4 theme: pros: Much deeper theming
I'd go for the last.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, seriously, I'm finally getting this started, I've been thinking about making a MIUI theme for ages, the time is now.

[Q] The fastest and most stable ROM

So,
I've already tried out a few ROMs (CM9, MIUI JB, AOSP JB, AOKP B4).
I was very happy with CM9 - it had many features, was stable and also smooth. But it got after awhile a bit laggy.
Then I decided to go on MIUI JB. At the beginning it was the best i ever had, but then it was laggy as hell (even with overtakting) and unuseble.
I was very very happy with AOSP JB - cleanest and fastest ROM I've tried so far. Bugs and the less features told me to switch AOKP.
AOKP is good, but not as good at the rest. It's sometimes unstable and the booting time is just way too long.
I dont need thousands of features, but what I need are the notification switches (so important for my daily life!)
Any recommendations to me? And ofc, it must be FAST and STABLE.

You must be mistaken me with someone else. And the other threads I found are not really up-to-date and ROM-developing is very fast nowadays so I cant test them all... and that's why I aked.

I have Tried so many ROMs so far but I came back to Stock ics .587 with Night-elf 1.5 kernel+ Holo camera also few other tweaks and I am fine with it. I really love stock Rom and with a few mod its the best for me.
I tried several ROMs:
*Stock ICS from Sony (two days)
*Spacious Smooth & Light ICS (four weeks)
*Icecream Pureness Build 13 (several days)
* JellySandwich 6.2.5, 7.3 and 7.4 (as of the middle of October)
So far JellySandwich 6.2.5 is the fastest I ever tested and worth a try. Some bugs though: No LED notification 2G-toggle-bug and "Xperia Home has stopped"-bug. But these don't count very much, everything else is running fine!
It's even faster than 7.3 and 7.4! These versions do not seem to be stable yet...

Then I wanted to use your new "Xperia Home"-patch. Unfortunately the link sends me to the "Mediafire" homepage. Maybe you could fix that link or send me the correct URL. I would like to eliminate that bug too.
Well, as I already said, the ROM is great, Bro! :highfive: Thanks for that! And it's even a port, right!? Crazy...

All roms are good because there is a lot of effort on every individual roms.
You don't have to search best rom you may fall in to conclusion.
day by day every Rom is keeps on improving. Devs are doing every bit of best. We are not suppose to say this is the best or that. every rom has its own good feature.
choose a Rom which suits you best it depends on how you use daily basis and how it attracts you..

@Dev, I am a noob. Having Neo V running .587 rooted & with locked bootloader. Used x-parts to install cwm and then installed Jelly Sandwitch rom. It was a success but after rebooting stuck at Sony logo. Could not go to recovery when I tried booting the phone again (I had to remove battery to switch off). After reading the steps once again, I find that probably I missed "Flash kernel modules via cwm". If that is true, how it is to be done? x-part has no such option and rom manager did not do that? Pl help.

[Q] Is FXP CM10 stable?

Hey,
as I'm using a neo V device, I'm awaiting a stable FXP CM10-release. After I read the news/changelog I realized that neo V (and all 2011 devices, too) are legacy devices now with CM10 done. Does this information mean that FXP is stable for all 2011 devices or just that there is a ROM based on CM10?
and before you start flaming eventually: I used the forum's search, but I didn't find anything about this topic.
Greetings,

We wont get cm10.1. But that doesnt mean that we wont get updates to cm10 and bugfixes. we will get them.

[Q] ICS problems with x10

Okay so i flashed almost all the ICS roms and it all lags on my X10. The speed is there but the animations lag. Like pulling down the notification bar , window animations , screen off animation. They all lag. Can some one tell me how to solve this? Is this a videolag problem or something? I really love the fastness of ICS roms. Im on FeraLab ICS v4 currently!
Hi bro,
first you may need to read this :
http://socialcompare.com/en/comparison/android-versions-comparison
ICS and JB required higher resource than GB,
so, we need to make its ALAP .
Probably you shoul try CM10 from Scrith for comparison.
FYI
but there was a review about this rom and everything went smoothly on the guys phone in the video!!

From what I can tell, none of the ICS ROMS are 100% stable yet. And to get them running smooth will still take a bit of work, tweakings bits and pieces here and there to iron out the kinks. GL

I have my x10 running faster than before on Scritches v3 rom with Amin kernel p6005, if you try it I flashed scritches camera fix as Amin kernel needs the patch. P.s. don't flash the aeros libs or it will lag on that rom and kernel.
I was previously on Zmod7ver3 which is one of the fastest gb roms I've come across. You'll lose cam tho.
