Has anyone been able to run Sygic navigation on the Razr?
I bought the app last year and had been using it on previous devices with no problems but since I bought the Razr about a month ago (i'm running ICS stock) I cannot use Sygic. It attempts to start the app and then closes. I've emailed Sygic support twice already and no response and their support section on their website is not opening.
Any ideas?
Solved
I finally got it to work. I needed to clear an old Sygic folders in my sd card. I had kept the old files on the sd card cause of all the maps I had downloaded. I didn't think it was necessary cause I have used sygic on 3 devices and when I made the change from the fist device to the 2nd i kept the files and it worked fine. So i'm downloading all the maps again and it should be ready soon.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
Thread cleaned.
Do I really need to remind people that XDA is a warez free zone....

Guys,
Hope you can help. Am at my wits end. I peformed a clean, official reflash via SEUS this weekend as I had made a mess of my build.prop file and a lot of apps had disappeared from the market.
I'm now running Global Generic, 024
I thought this would solve my woes, but several days later, I am still missing a number of apps, most notably the new Amazon UK app. In fact no official Amazon shopping apps appear. A few others are missing too, but Amazon seems a good benchmark as it's new, international and free - no reason for it not to be there.
I've cleared every cache, I've uninstalled Market updates, I've rebooted countless times, I've changed the clock to 2359 and left it 10 minutes. I've reinstalled the market apk. I've even used Root Explorer to check the Market data and the fingerprint is registered. I'm absolutely stuck.
Have I missed anything? Can anyone confirm they've succeeded in downloading the Amazon UK app? Can anyone get me out of this coz its driving me crazy!
Thanks so much for reading and hopefully helping!

Just to clarify, I have waded through various things on this forum for hours - I also tried Market Enabler - I even tried spoofing with my own SIM code in ME!
OK - I've reflashed (again), I've tried leaving wifi unconfigured and just using 3G, I've tried booting with no SD card in case there's an offending file there. I'm really running out of ideas. PLEASE - someone step up to the bar and give me some more ideas!
try my tutorial
Thanks - I have more apps now, but the Amazon ones (all countries) are still missing.
Can anyone confirm that they DO have the Amazon UK app appearing in their market on the x10?
Try and install it from the new Android Market website.
https://market.android.com/search?q=Amazon
Thanks - but all the Amazon apps are greyed out and say "Not Compatible With Your Device".
I have the .apk - but there's clearly something wrong here and I want to get that fixed - both for peace of mind and my own bloodymindedness!
UPDATE: It looks like Amazon are either telling porky-pies or the developer has goofed. I can confirm that Amazon is not available on the ZTE Racer either, suggesting that despite claiming that it is available on 2.1, it's not appearing in the market.
It does work from an .apk, suggesting it's a mistake.
Thanks to everyone for their help.
Hmm I can see when I try to install it, It says that the app is Carrier Specifik.
So I guess you would have to be on the right carrier to get this app.
My mate on O2, running Froyo can get it. I can't get it on 2.1 spoofing O2 on Market Enabler.
Quick update..... having discovered that it is missing from the ZTE Racer and GT540 too, I called customer services who assured me it was available to 2.1 users. Despite a flurry of calls from a very helpful chap over the past two weeks, their dev still hasn't managed to fix it.
Strikes me that this is a pretty epic fail for such a big company. There are threads about it on some other forums, but I was apparently the first person to report it. Shows how relatively few are the people who want an Amazon app, still running 2.1...

HI, i just bought my mom the woot gtablet and have since put cm7 on it, the majority of it works great, but Pandora force closes every time, as well as maps (but Ive think Ive read maps doesn't work?), and Ive also put the tnt western keyboard on it as well and it force closes as well. im not sure i want to flash another rom to it cause my mom just got use to this one, and she doesn't like change...
anyway, thanks for your help in advance
Do you have CWM installed? If you do, try booting to it, then do Fix Permissions. That seemed to get rid of FCs I was getting a couple of days ago.
Other than that, did you re-partition 2048/0 before installing?
Jim
I have done the fix permissions and no I didn't repartition, I was following the guide on the cyanogen mod wiki and it didn't say anything about it...

well, ive repartitioned 2048/0 and fixed permisions several times... but pandora is still not working, and now, when ever i try to mount the sd, it stalls and i have to restart the machine, im thinking of just switching roms, what rom do you prefer? keep in mind, my mom is not tech saavy, all she wants it for is pandora, the kindle app, talking tom cat, etc so i dont need anything to intense
I think this may be my first post on XDA. I roam XDA, Rootz, and AC all the time but rarely find a time that I can contribute to others so I generally keep to myself.
Absolutely love my TP running CM9 alpha0.6...
From time to time I have issues with getting apps to work. Normally I can figure out a way to get the app side loaded and working but this has not been the case for GTA. When the app first hit the market I paid for it and downloaded. I have always got the same message after opening the game.
"Unfortunately, GTA III 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY has stopped."
Obviously i have downloaded the data files from a site and put in the correct folder on my "SD card"..still no luck.
Maybe I have downloaded the wrong data .rar files? Which ones are working for others?(I read HTC Sensation files work in other threads)Where did you download them?
Are there any changes I need to make in order for the game to work?
Any suggestions would be helpful...i have wasted a lot of time on this.
Was helped by another member. Went through the market to update the app. was able to download the files and play afterwards.
I have the same issue with the Madden 12 app. It starts downloading some 300MB update, but then just quits and tells me to try later.

Since I never wiped my SD card when upgrading from CM7 to CM9 all I had to do was install GTA and it launched using the files downloaded while on CM7. On CM7 I had downloaded the files on wifi, not sure if this works in CM9.
You can find the files already downloaded in an archive on the internet, just pick the correct GPU brand and it should work if you can't download on the Touchpad.
I have download the data direct from Wifi with no problem at all !
If you have save data, you can backup the file from "/sdcard/Android/data/com.rockstar.gta3ger/files/GTA3/GTA3sf*.b" before you re-download the data.
I have no idea what could be causing this. I've never heard of anything like it, and I have yet to find any posts or anything on Google pertaining to it. The problem is simple. I install an app or game. Play or use it. Go do something else for 20 minutes to an hour come back expecting to use said app, and its gone. Its not in the launcher or manage apps, and play store acts as if it wasn't yet installed. I can go to market again to install it but that's just bothersome. I'm on an 8gb nook tab running an emmc install of cm10, looks like its the 2012-9-3 acclaim build according to about tab. Other than that I'm not sure which ROM exactly.
Any thoughts would be awesome.

I only downloaded this ROM about four days ago. That combined with the fact that that was my second post on xda, it wouldn't be far fetched to assume I didn't know there was an updated version. May I ask what your recommendation of most stable cm10 ROM would be?

How's your battery life? Can you compare it to CM7 or stock? Mine was so pathetic I'm back on CM7.

Is there a "place holder" icon in place of the disappeared app? (home screen and app drawer, either or both) Would appear as a generic android icon.
Also, what apps are disappearing specifically?

When Ext-Sd card auto unmounts (known bug) everything installed on it (because ext-sdcard are default one /sdcard1) is then shown as a green android without their normal icon.
I've been having this issue as well with Business Calendar Pro. It isn't installed to the SDCARD. I haven't had the problem with the latest version of the ROM though.

I can't compare it to stock or CM7, though -- I haven't run either stock or CM7 since April or so. It does seem to suck the battery down much faster than Chris' CM10, though. To deal with that, I've been doing a full power-off (long press and select "Power Off") instead of a soft power-off when I know I won't be using the tablet for a while.
Saludos,
Steve

Almost any app. Here's an updated play by play.
Install app. App can be used.
After a while it disappears.
Can reinstall and use again.
Usually disappears again.
If tab is rebooted apps reappear. Icon and all.
If you attempt to open they force close. I don't remember the error message.
This mostly happens on large apps or games.
I'm gonna attempt to update my ROM and see if it still has the same problems.
Updated to the latest cherry picks ROM. I wiped and cleared everything. Same problem. Same symptoms. Any thoughts on causes and possible solutions? Or is this just a bug with the ROM?

I've experienced a similar issue, and it appears to be the result of the SD card getting (forcibly?) unmounted while sleeping. I have no idea how to prevent it other than moving all apps to internal storage if possible. Maybe ensuring that any apps the rely on storing data on the SD card are terminated before sleeping?
FWIW, I've had the same thing happen in the past with the stock BN ROM so it wasn't a huge surprise to me when it happened running CM10.

Okay, so the exact same thing happened that the OP described to me this morning on 27/09. I had moved several apps to the SD card and then when I came back to my Nook about a half-hour later, all those apps showed as Android icons and could not be launched. Rebooting made it possible to launch the apps again and brought back the normal icons.
Update: Perhaps it's coincidence but it seems that whenever I manually disable WiFi before sleeping my Nook (running 27/09 here), then everything is fine. However, if I forget to disable WiFi, then for some reason the SD has a chance to be unmounted while sleeping which requires me to re-install any apps that are installed on the SD card or that depend on the SD card for normal use.
I'm also thinking that maybe it doesn't have anything at all to do with WiFi being enabled, but instead perhaps it's just having apps running that depend on the SD when the unit sleeps (such as XDA premium which I've had to re-install several times over the last couple of days ) .
In all, it seems like a really vague and random issue that occurs and reiterating my previous posts, I've seen the SD card get unmounted using the original ROM so I'm just not sure what the deal is here.
I have a problem, with my tablet. I found that 3 of my favour apps has disappeared from my apps list and tablet . I don,'t uninstalled it. What can I do to recover an install it again. When I go in my Googly Store my apps list The 3 apps that is disappeared is not listed there. The 3 apps thats is disappeared is Mxit beta, Google translate and Opera Mini web browser. Is there anything I can do to find this disappered apps on my MTN Steppa 7" Tablet. Finally When I try to download a app from the webside or google play store it shows dowloading by don,t stop the download arrow flashing on and on even when I swiched off the mobile data it still shows downloading but nothing stops. When Switched on the Mini data the the download app is Queued. What can I do to stopit and removed it.
i hope really that you can help mevwhit this problem.

I was recently using Here Maps on my android 4.4 car head unit. I used the app fine, then an hour later when I came to use it again, it won't start. I just get the error "please insert memory card and try again.", then it closes itself. I have tried app re-installs, reboots, clearing of cache, moving to internal and sd card storage, and I still get the error.
Can anyone explain what this means or know how to fix this??
That happened to me also. I hope solution is found shortly...
Update: installed previous version apk and it works. Previous one is 44MB and latest one is 66MB!!! 50% increase and no documented significant changes lol o ly minor version number increase lol lol lol
But with 50% more code it brings a bug which obviously very competent QA team didn't noticed because they dont have 'start the app' use case.... They just know it is good as it has more code in it Obviously, times when software production was engineering instead of magic are gone... Worldwide....
So just sit and enjoy blessings of ignorance. And hope someone in Here WeGo (if it goes) just tried to start the app and discovered it is no-go.... Maybe they fix it in this final quarter.
i'm having this issue too and i don't know what to do? downloaded it directly from play store
Anyone have any fix for this?
Did anybody get this fixed?
@masri1987 @DaxUK @rmb3218
I couldn't get it fixed but found a workaround: just use the older Here WeGo version from 2017, specifically version 2.0.11510 (which I presume is the lastest version that works as it is 44MB in size). So, uninstall the current app and instead download and install the APK of this older version from https://m.apkpure.com/here-wego-–-c...aps/download/115601-APK?from=versions/version. At least now you can use Here WeGo without issues.
Considering this bug dates back from 2 years ago, I really don't know why the HERE team hasn't fixed it yet. I hope their app staff can read this and try fix the problem in the new version.
