Hi, I just got an EVO 4G about three weeks ago. I didnt know about the EVO 3D so now I want that instead. I was wondering where would be the best place to buy the EVO 3D for me?
I am within my 30 days so I can return my EVO and get my $200 back and then be eligible for an upgrade price for the EVO. Has the EVO 3D contract price been confirmed to be $199?
Would I be better off returning my EVO and getting upgrade price or selling my Evo to someone and paying full price for the Evo 3D?
Also where is the best place to buy to 3D?
Im just looking for the best way to save to most money.
Return it and wait for the 3d it is confirmed at 199.99 go preorder at radio shack

Any particular reason for radioshack? I was going to go to bestbuy.
Also do we know the off the contract price for the 3D?
As long as you have another sprint phone to activate return the evo 4g and wait for the 3d. Dual core, higher res screen, much better gpu are things you want especially at the same price you paid for your evo.
I was on the phone off and on for several days with Sprint pleading my case on why they should let me upgrade to the Evo 3d for only $50. I kinda got my way. I've attached the conversation thread so that maybe some verbiage in it can help those that are in the same boat being tossed around by Sprint.
After receiving my Evo4GLTE, I was looking at my phone lineup.
My 1st phone was the HTC Touch. ( Cant seem to find it for the pic )
2nd Touch Pro
3rd Touch Pro 2
4th Evo4G
5th and Current Evo4GLTE
Pics Below. Also Plz dont flame me for the Cracks. I'm the worst @ keeping my phone from dropping. It was around the time of upgrading, so no need to pay for a replacement, id rather upgrade.
no picture of my old phones, but see sig.

Sig (guess I should update it with the evo lte). My first "smartphone" was the ppc6700. Thing is pretty dumb compared to today's smartphones.
Sprint Audiovox ppc6700
Sprint HTC Mogul
Tmo HTC G1 (loved this phone!!!)
Sprint Samsung Moment
Sprint HTC Evo 4g
Sprint HTC Evo 4g LTE
I have a thing for HTC as you can tell.
mogul --> touch pro --> touch pro2 --> evo --> evo 3d --> S2 --> evo design --> lte

I'm going off memory, I think I have them all covered starting with 1st phone I ever had along with a little note of what I remember
Kyocera QCP-2255 - Blue screens are cool
Samsung SPH-A500 w/ $100+ VGA Camera Sprint's 1st Camera Phone/Power Vision Color Phont - External Camera with built in cable
Samsung SPH-A620 (VGA1000) - Still shortmail for outgoing but had 1 way incoming SMS
Samsung SPH-A680 - First Real 2-Way SMS
Samsung MM-A940 - evdo rev A
Samsung SPH-M510 - Clam with flat keys
HTC Touch Pro - This phone was junk, replacement after replacement
HTC Touch Pro2 - Solid phone at the time, mighty rom huge upgrade hardware wise from TP1
HTC EVO 4G - Set the bar so high, super phone
HTC EVO 3D - Little bit of a let down for everyone but I still liked it
HTC EVO 4G LTE - screen is amazing, 1st phone simultaneous call/data on 3G - been waiting for that for years!
I wanna say the Samsung MM-A940 was Sprint's first EVDO Rev A Phone if I remember right. Correct me if I am wrong, have come a longgggg way. I can't believe I paid $100 for that External VGA camera for the A500, the picture quality was just awful no flash and if it wasn't held perfectly still outside it would be very blurry.
You guys remember shortmail? God it was awful - I remember when I got my 680 with real sms. It was like heaven compare to shortmail.
I'll just touch on the smart phones, as I'm 42 and have had a few phones in my day...
http://www.oaktreevintage.com/web_photos/Telephones/Motorola_Cellular-One_Cell-Phone_web.jpg (Yeah, I had one of these)
Anyway...
Samsung Moment (/shudder)
Samsung Epic
Samsung Epic Touch
HTC EVO (When it gets here)
My wife will be rocking my Epic Touch (Heh) and my mother in law also has one that my wife donated to her (Wife went back to her BB Curve for the month we needed to work this).
I think my wife is more excited about getting back to her phone than I am about getting the EVO. (In all fairness, the Epic Touch is an OUTSTANDING phone... Esp. with Cyanogen 9 on it)
MotoQ, Samsung instinct, Mogul, TP2, Evo4G, EVO3D, EVOLte(sat)
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
1 - Motorola RAZR
2 - HTC Touch Pro
3 - HTC Touch Pro2 (Free Replacement from TP1)
4 - HTC EVO 4G
5 - HTC EVO 4G LTE
Samsung A840 (Still have)
Sanyo Katana (Still have)
Samsung Rant (Still have)
Samsung Moment (Gave to my dad and he lost it -.-)
HTC Evo 4G (Still have/using because BB suck in the online deparment)
(ASUS Transformer Prime (which I LOVE!)(I know its not a phone))
HTC Evo 4G LTE (Future phone)
See sig
I'll just stick to the smartphones as well
PPC6700
HTC Touch
HTC Touch Pro
HTC Touch Pro 2
HTC EVO 4G
HTC EVO 3D
HTC EVO 4G LTE
I admit I have a bit of an addiction.
I can't believe I remembered all of this. Dates back to the year 2000.
Samsung SCH-3500
Samsung SPH-N200
Sanyo SCP-8100 - first cameraphone
Sanyo MM-8300
Samsung SPH-M610 - I loved this phone. Thin, solid, 2MP camera, great reception and audio quality. Lasted me three years until...
HTC EVO 4G - first smartphone, bought on launch day
HTC EVO 4G LTE - launch day
Tons of crappy dump phones --> Blackberry Curve 8330 --> Blackberry Tour 9630 --> HTC Evo 4G --> HTC Evo 3D (iPhone 3g work phone) --> HTC Evo 4G LTE
I'd agree that the 3D was a huge let down. Launch day I instantly had buyers remorse since I felt like my 4G was still getting it done and I didnt get much of an upgrade. Totally different situation with the LTE. So far I love it! Somethings are a little annoying but its only because it's different and it'll take some getting used to.
Nokia Brick with External Antenna > Nokia Brick with Internal Antenna > Kyocera SE47 > Samsung SCH-a950 > HTC Mogul(Titan) > HTC Touch Pro > HTC Tough Pro 2 > HTC EVO 4G > HTC EVO 4G LTE (When wirefly actually gets it's act together)

Why not just return the 3D then? Returns are pretty painless with Sprint and you get your contract/upgrades rolled back as well. My wife and I bought Motorola Photons earlier this year (on sale for $50 at the Shack) but I returned mine because I didn't like it as much as my EVO 4G. Got my money back, contract rolled back, and upgrade reinstated in time for the EVO LTE.
Motorola RAZR ----> Samsung Rant (launch day) ------> Samsung Epic 4G (launch day, return the very same date) ------> HTC EVO 4G (BRICKED) -----> Samsung Moment -----> HTC EVO 4G LTE, once I get back from a mission trip
It all started with the HTC Kaiser (Tilt on ATT) for me when I first joined XDA in 2007. My buddy introduced me to Sprint's SERO plan and I figured I'd be nuts not to jump on the bandwagon. I paid ATT/Cingular's early termination fee and grabbed an HTC Touch since I wanted something slim.
Touch pro > touch pro 2 (when I hung out on ppcgeeks for a while) > then I stuck with the Evo OG until now.
The E4GLTE was worth the wait!
These are approximately to scale:
Motorola Razr V3 (loved this phone)
LG Vu (I wanted a touch screen, wouldn't touch the iPhone... it was very customizable, but certainly not a great phone. Still works, though... gave it to a friend who broke his AT&T phone.)
And I'd hope everyone recognized the last two on there...
I don't recall the models of the phones prior to these, but they consisted of one Motorola analog clam-shell and two Motorola digital clam-shells. All on AT&T, because prior to the iPhone bringing hoards of morons on board, AT&T had a pretty good network.
Here is my cell phone lineup:
2001 - AT&T Nokia (unsure model, had a retractable antenna)
2002 - AT&T Nokia 3320
2003 - T-Mobile Nokia 6610
2005 - Motorola Razr V3R unlocked on T-Mobile
2006 - Sprint Sanyo SCP-2400
2008 - Sprint HTC Touch Diamond
2008 - Sprint HTC Touch Pro
2010 - Sprint HTC EVO 4G
2010 - T-Mobile HTC HD2 (still in use running Android 2.3.7 CM7)
2011 - Sprint HTC EVO 3D
2012 - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE
Guess I have a thing for HTC phones

The red att version will be released much later this summer than the blue and white ones. Are you going to have 2 phones the one x and the sgs3? If so then I would wait for the red one.
I will be getting the white tmobile sgs3, because I don't like metallic colors. That for me is the only reason why I chose white over blue.
Blue TMobile 32gb. Might sell the gs2 to offset the price but I doubt it.
Deebo took your bike too?!
VZW in Blue/Grey whatever they are calling it now, 16Gb....32GB sdcard in my Charge will find a new home in the GSIII, Charge gets sold with a 16Gb card
