So i installed this rom called "Amazing Sense 4.1 v1.0" on my HTC One V and all was good and nice until i was about to send a text, it doesn´t work.
It tries to send for a half second and then it just goes into "waiting" to be sent, why is this happening ? Calls work fine, so it can´t be the signal, right ?

Hi, my Htc touch dual SOMETHIMES doesn't receve messeges. Like last night,I try to send a new messsage from another cellphone to mine but only light on display just turned on, nothing else, there was no new messege. How to fix this problem? I have rom 2.16.831.3 and radio version 1.65.29.22.

I cannot send text messages from my phone, it comes up as failed as soon as i tap send, it happened on froyd, so i went to cronos, it happened on cronos, so i went to 2.1 sensehero, still didnt work, so I bit the bullet and unrooted using the 2.73.61.66 ruu, didnt work, got the ota update to 2.1, still doesn't work, anybody else having this problem?, is there a fix?, as i can recive texts, make and recive calls, us mobile data fine, its just outgoing texts, its kinda annoying notbeing able to send texts

I also get this problem on T-Mobile, although I only started to happen since updating to 2.1 ROMS. I've tried different 2.1 ROMs and different radios but the problem is still there. Was never an issue on 1.5.
My texts do eventually send though, they just fail the 1st time I try and then the phone automatically tries again. 2nd attempt usually works as I have delivery reports turned on to check.
A friend also has this problem with his Hero, although he is running official 2.1 update straight from T-Mobile.
Maybe it's just something HTC forgot to fix / didn't notice was a problem in their 2.1 Hero update... like the bug where you can't hide sim contacts in the phonebook (but you can in contacts).
Open up your Messages application. Press Menu -> Settings.
Click on "Service Center" - it should then say +447973100973. If it doesn't, type it in and press okay.
Your messages should then send !
i agree with Alex here as that is the most obvious one, if that doesn't work then contact orange to make sure there are no other issues...

Hey, Yesterday i rooted my evo 3D, hboot 1.3, and before my root i could receive/send texts perfect.
But i installed the Htc one port for the Evo 3d and it messed up my messages and i wasnt able to send and receive,
now i changed to MeanRom and i still have the messaging issue.
I only receive the texts if i make a call.
please help, thank you!
Are you on Sprint ??? Also how did you root ?? And which "htc one port did you install?? What recovery are you running??

are you getting any errors when trying to send an sms? when i downgraded and installed meanrom, i was encountering error 97 case 2. i reverted to stock and updated profile, and messaging worked again
sorry for the late reply, but i did the update profile, prl, etc, except the firmware parts and it started to work again

So I flashed back to stock T-Mobile Android 4.3 for the HTC One and now I am having problem with MMS, specifically group texts. I received a number of group texts while on wifi calling and half of them never downloaded. A MMS message box shows up under the individual contact (presumably the person who sent it) with an option to download. I click download and it never completes. Sometimes it will fail and show a red exclamation next to their name.
I was on Android Revolution HD 9.4 (Android 4.1.2) as recently as yesterday morning and wifi calling was working flawlessly with MMS / Group Texts.
I've seen that on multiple phones all running custom roms that I've made APN changes to. I don't really use Wi-Fi calling so in my case it's not related but I've found rebooting causes the messages to download almost every single time. I know it's not a solution but maybe it helps before someone else posts something that fixed it.
