Antutu Benchmark Results on JB - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Kind of worried cause since the last updates of Jelly Bean the results on Antutu Benchmark scores are way to low on what it used to be on ICS. I am ROM lover and that's why I have tried quite a few of them, but it wasn't until I used OMEGA V.30 that the results are satisfactory.
Not sure if there is a reason for that behavior but I even tried Wanam Lite, which is pretty much stock than any other thing and the results were like 7 devices lower than the one I am adding here.
So my question is: Why this behavior of our S3s on Jelly Bean ?

Seriously? You're still believing in benchmark's credibility?

[Q] what´s the fastest JB rom?

Hi, I want to know which JB do you recomend as the fastest, I´ve tried the epinter, jokersax, aokp, and miui. But still the Mrom scores higher with the antutu benchmark.
Currently I´m using Mrom and so far the battery life and the speed of the Atrix is awesome. Without having to overclock I get 5,340 of score, Is there a JB rom that can score to at least 5,000 with the antutu without having to overclock?
Why do benchmarks mean so much to you?
You already tried all the JB roms pretty much anyways, you most likely answered your own question.

Benchmarks mean nothing. Whether your phone lags doing day to day operations is the only thing that matters
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Synthetic benchmarks are completely useless and meaningless in that they do not represent normal day-to-day usage patterns. Personal experience is by far the best benchmark there is.
EDIT: bah, too late, has been said already.

I got a kick out of the benchmark results that came out with iPhone 5 vs GS3. IPhone was higher slightly and isheeps were doing circle jerks because of it. I've never seen a cross platform benchmark test and I tried saying how benchmarks do not mean a thing. I got down voted hard.

Its funny too because in a few months there will probably be an android phone that's even twice as powerful as the gs3. The isheep thinking they will always have the best are sadly mistaken.

Till now all JB roms are experimental, so I prefer a stable one, rather than fast.
You won't find a "very fast" JB rom 'cause we dont have the drivers neither the kernel for managing everything as the GB roms
I tried several and at least with the day-by-day use, epinters was the best, no lag but some games didn't run as fast as the GB rom

I use CNA 3.6.5, some games like Cut The Rope overspeed a bit.

thanks to everyone for the responses, I´ll keep my Mrom for now and wait to see if Motorola releases the Drivers so we can have the hardware acceleration on JB.

Quadrant

Hello guyz today I compared wanam jelly bean to the one member of HTC x one which have also jelly bean..thwre is a huge difference in quadrant score HTC can geta more then 7k easily and mine is 5k hardly with no over clock on both devices

These threads aren't allowed. Benchmarks aren't the greatest way to find which is best. It is all dependent on the user. Quadrant is especially known for its bull crap reports...
But most of the people and also the official comparing method is based on quadrant score includid
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
There is already a thread about posting benchmark scores and that's one too many IMO. If anything you should have searched and posted in that thread instead of creating a new one.
but I got a quadrant score of -1, Is that good?

low score :(

Hey!! Im running wannamlite latest rom with yank-s laatest kernel and just from curiosity I ran a benchmark test with Antutu, and my score was horrible, around 9800...and i saw that the gs3 has over 12-13000 ...what is my problem?

Benchmarks are unreliable ..
You have a custom rom and a custom kernel .
So why are you not asking the question in the relevant threads ???
jje
I never trusted benchmarks, but this one is so damn low.
Because I can ask almost everything I want in this thread. In rom/kernel thread just a part of the users answers, here a lot more people are watching so I might have extra chances xD.
Don't worry about benchmarks. Add long as real feel feels fast and not laggy then everything should be good
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
But it does!Whatever rom/kernel I use, after like 2-3 days of use it becomes laggy.
I don't have more than 30 apps installed :-/
Last time I benchmarked I hit 17,000
International S III 16GB / CM10.1 / Gokhan's SK
Daft I know but do you have power saving on?

nope,no power saving on.

Ok there are still other things you can do. Maybe something is eating your cpu. Try using cpuspy or setcpu to see what clocks your using. If its at the highest clock all the time that could indicate a cpu hog.
See what processes are using those high clocks with top or another program run on the phone.
Most important though is to see what is actualy causing the low score, which part of the benchmark is causing low scores. Maybe IO or memory performance, cpu might be fine.

JB battery life?

Hey there guyz, just wondering, does JB consume the most battery life between ICS and GB?Is it because of its performance?Do u recommend people in XDA to choose GB roms for great battery life and JB roms for extreme performance?Pls guyz, give your opinions Thank you
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I think you must try to make your personal opinion my opinion is that i dont care how much it consumes because screen is no 1 in consumption
Send from my SGS2 I9100 with HassanROM and latest DorimanX 8.xx kernel
The rule on the Galaxy S2 forum is that you are not allowed to ask which ROM's are better, which is basically what your thread is asking. This is not allowed as everyone's opinion of a ROM is different, and what performs well for one person may not perform well for you. You must try these ROM's yourself, with different kernels for better performance and battery life to find the optimum setup for you. Sorry but that's the way it is.

Dude. Really?? He is not asking which custom rom is better. He is asking for opinion about GB ICS or JB. Those are not developed by devs here. Being nice is a good habit.

Actually if you ask for consumption. I think ics is way more superior in saving battery than JB. There are so many reasons for that. Check the change log on wikipedia you ll come to know. Screen causes more drain on JB. Im also agree with the person who first answered your question.

I've personally noticed I can't get as good battery life with JB as with ICS. I use the same settings, and the same apps, but ICS seems better for me.
On the other hand: some people got great battery life with JB, so I also would recommend to try both versions to compare. Performance-wise (and the wonderfull features), JB is the best
Our official jb came with the biggest battery drainer .
Is the media scanner .
On gb or ics we didn't came across this bug cause it could be fixed .

Here's a question:Back in ICS XWLS8,its firmware was 717MB and its battery was superb. But now in most rom in ICS and JB,its 300MB+ and battery is .With a huge amount of 400MB difference, how does the battery resist for long hours?

I'm on JellyBam 7.8.0,Android 4.2.2 JB,and I can get up to 2 days of battery.(My WI-FI is nearly always on,and I use it for games, like Plants vs Zombies. So I could say battery is pretty good, through I think back in October,(when I got my phone,It was on ICS 4.0.3),the battery was a bit better. But still...not bad
Mine sucks with wifi on, I gotta get into that asap.

Yeah,so GB is considered to consume the least battery while JB consume a bit more battery than ICS.I guess sticking to ICS is rather fine for me

For me it stay for 6 hours intensive use playing games and wifi on
And 1-5 day for daily use

But curious though, how can ICS(XWLS8)weigh 717MB consume lesser battery than ICS and JB Rom which weigh 300+MB?Isn't it suppose to be the other way round?

Not necessarily, all stock ROM uses about the same partition space storaged.

[Q] Best ROM

Hi Guys, I was wondering which ROM has the highest benchmark scores?
Or maybe some specific ROM with different Kernel or whatever.

Well I can't even chime in....p4 WiFi....but if you're want to know what I get the best scores with..its 4.2 ROMs...Even though, the 4.3 ROM I'm running now is much faster feeling... I think it has to do with the write spread to sdcard . It test goofy ...and if I'm honest. Its a little slower installing on 4.3. But the ROM itself is much faster.
Benchmarks don't mean anything. If the ROM feels good, then its good.

My actual experience of any ROM is the benchmark score that I appreciate! For me, 4.3 leaves 4.x.2 way behind in the shade. It does not matter to me what score any benchmark app churns out!
Cheers.

Simply put: my benchmark score is my experience of the ROM. If the ROM is fast, smooth and stable like the 4.3 ROMs I have experienced, then I score the ROM high For me it does not matter if an app scores the ROM low. I have therefore scored 4.3 very high. Whether an app scores 4.3 low or not means nothing to me. I DO THE BENCHMARK SCORING FOR MYSELF. Compared to 4.x.2, my benchmark for 4.3 is definitely higher. I am sure you get my drift now.
Cheers.
