Hi,
I saw on Internet some services that give you the possibility to test an Android app on the web: for example, Manymo launches an emulator on a remote server and give you the possibility to interact with it. AppSurfer let you test your Android app in an emulator-like environment. Pieceable Viewer is similar to AppSurfer but for iOS.
According to you, how these services are implemented?
Maybe there are some emulators running on a remote server on which run a vnc server, but looking at AppSurfer or PieceableViewer they looks too responsive for this implementation.
Any ideas?
Thanks
There's a forum for the Motorola Defy, and looking around, I find many people asking the same question as you. Apparently, there's still no way to root it.
Keep looking/waiting.

I'm sorry but I didn't understood your answer. I looked in the Motorola Defy forum but I didn't find any reference to what I was asking for
Can you paste the link of the thread you're speaking about?
Thank you
No one has any idea about it?
(I hope this is the correct section of the forum for this type of thread)
Wow. Sorry, I must have replied to the wrong thread! I have no memory of reading your post.
Whoops!

I Wanna programme for Pda2k
that bluetooth hacker
I search for it alot but i don't find
i think you can get lots of information at GOOGLE, good luck!
i tried and looked it up for you, BUT since you didn't post a detailed request, i assume you want a windows mobile version of that, and not the java based things being behind most of the links i found. i didn't find a cab version of that, but looked at a couple of youtube videos and really found that program extremely useless. the so-called "hacker", of which every potencial user probably thinks, he can easily access other people's phones need approval and pairing like any other bluetooth program, and then you can access data on the other phone, that you can access anyway, since you have a winmo device.
conclusion:
- no winmo version found
- useless program
- maybe some versions not freeware, don't request warez!
- if you have java support installed, google one j2me version yourself and install at your own risk
- you will be disappointed.

Here's a question I've not seen asked yet....
I've just started using Google's appinventor and I'm wondering if there is any way of loading an ".apk" file into it. If not, how can I convert an .apk file into an appinventor project file?
Guess I must be posting in the wrong place!

no idea, sorry
Also, I tried app inventor for a bit... I guess it does what it says it will do, ie cater to the needs of non-dev people who want to make apps
But coming from a dev background, I don't see myself working with it too long, just to get familiar with the android OS. Once I do that, its back to good old Eclipse

Where would I start learning about programming for Android? I'm a total beginner, but I learn quickly
Well, is not difficult as long as you have some programming knowledge.
It won't make a big difference if is Android or other platform
Specifically for android:
http://developer.android.com/index.html
And google search

Hello, I wanted to know what the Benefits of rooting an Asus Transformer Prime would be if you are not going to flash roms?
For me....
I only wanted to use proxydroid. I have a proxy server that need domain auth.
But since I routed it, I'm amazed by other applications that needs root access. From simple overclocking apps to more complete backups.
In the end its what you want or need. I needed to use a proxy server and if asus doesnt want to add that function fine... but then dont blame me for rooting mine..
Perhaps searching this forum, or searching general android forums will give you the answer more quickly.
kind of an open and big question.
the main answer is, more freedom to do what you want with certain applications.

I really just want to do A2SD, which I can do on my EVO 3d without rooting, is there a way to do this on the ASUS 300?
So for my class I need to make a mobile app about the arctic fox. I no absolutely no coding at all and have been scouring the web for programs that will work. I've tried MIT/Google App creator but didn't have much luck with it. I'd like it so that when you press any one of the 5 images of the fox a text box will pop out with additional information. For the title page, I just want it to simply show it as a splash screen. If anyone can recommend a suitable program that would be amazing!
Umm seems that since I don't have 10 posts kindly look at this thread for the images: overclock.net/t/1347502/making-an-android-app-help/0_30
Warm regards

lol you'd think so right? Funny thing is this is a science course and all she did was link some free app builder (they are terrible btw). I have no idea why this assignment is here. I found MobinCube which has everything I need except the fact that it just smacks an ad right on the bottom of it and paying for an ad free one is 150$.

So this is what the app should look like: overclock.net/t/1347502/making-an-android-app-help/0_30 I added a reply post to that thread. I just need it be ad free now!
Hi all. Feel great to join such a huge forum and I have a question. Yeah. New stupid member with studpid question. But I hope it's not stupid enough and you guys be able to answer it(hope so).
It's kinda simple question for all of you who have some experience in Android Freelancing. For example you get an job request to build a Android Bluetooth App to detect other devices and some other functionality which client asked to do. So, what is your first steps to create the app using Android SDK Eclipse or whatever(PhoneGap, Titanium, etc...)? Creating from the scratch or already have pre-build code to start with. I always curious how developers start making app for clients, so it would be awesome if someone have something to say in this situation. Appreaciate any answers. Thank you
