Hi

I have xperia ray with 4.0.3 having unlocked botloader.
I m having problem with custom rom. Whenever I tried cwm recovery and reboot but stucked at Sony logo even not doing anything with cwm. Even I tried flashtool for hotboot to install cm9 . It installed successfully but stucked at xperia ray project icon at boot logo.
This is first time I flashing custom rom .. Plz help
2
Also,
I m tried each method of rooting 4.0.4 but not succe-ed .. Plz help if you have any other...

So first download latest sony relese http://www.sendspace.com/file/ekr207
Be sure you have Flashtool instaled.
Drag the ftf file into flashtool and folow the instructiins
Then download this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31910339&postcount=2304
its .img
Flash it with flashtool - disconect your phone from usb. Make sure its powered off. Hold volume up and conect usb. You have to see blue led. then click the first thunder icon and select fastboot mode. Then select kernel to flash and then select the .img you downloaded. Congrats now you have a kernel with in build recovery(however how many roms you flash you will have recovery as long as you dont change kernel. CM kernels also have recovery. Flash kernels with flashtool. To root stock firmware go to androidsu.com and download the latest superuser(cwm flashable and flash it via cwm

did i brick my lww?

im using flashing .58 via flash tool and it said - android version/kernel version:-exec'/system/bin/sh'failed: No file or directory(2)-
First you power off your phone then hold the volume down button then connect to flashtool to flash firmwares
And you need adb drivers installed, find them in the flashtool folder or just download my app (romhub.codeplex.com)

I don't get it. Why exactly can't you flash with flashtool? No PC?
If you can get into flashmode, then flashtool should work just fine.
In most cases, getting stuck on the SE logo means you've got a kernel-ROM mismatch. Flashing the correct kernel should allow the ROM to boot. Mind telling which kernel & ROM you're on?
Sometimes it happens

Friend. You can follow my tutorial. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29406690 "The tutorial was done on Wt19 LWW, but nothing problem that can also be applied to his brother SK17i" from the 7th step. Find Your Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709032 this Post. Follow the next steps of the tutorial. In time you install the ROM by Aroma check SK17. If all these procedures can not solve. Then Try flash ROM FTF Stock Mode FlashBoot

Help men!!
Yesterday I got a used x10i. I rooted it, installed a recovery and unlocked bootloader.
After that I installed the X10S rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516960
Today I tried to go to Android 4 with this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782771
In the instruction says to flash an fxp kernel but all links are dead so I found another fxp kernel that said it was compatible with CM9 and ICS roms.
I did it successfully but I couldnt install the rom.
After that I downloaded the stock-based rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693489
It loaded without problem but when it works always in landscape mode and i cannot connect it to my pc, so I cannot use flashtool.
What should I do???
Help me friends! :crying:

[Q] Stuck on SONY logo screen....HELP!!!

Folks,
I was trying to install Custom ROM from here:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603919
After installing the ROM, now my Neo V is stuck at SONY logo and doesn't move forward :crying: I had backed my ROM thru CWM, but it won't even go into the recovery mode now. I even tried to flash the 4.1.B.0.587 ftf file using flashtool, but to no avail.
I was on a rooted but Stock ROM 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.587. Please see attached screenshots for more details. Please help. Thanks.
Resolved it myself by doing a repair thru PC Companion. :good:
power off ur fone ( remove battery and put it back again ) ... then through flash tool go to flash mode and select 4.0.4 ICS 4.1.B.0.587(FTF file) then wait till the flash tool prepared the frimware to flash then hold back buttin and connect ur fone to PC
Flash a new ftf file
Just reflash the stock ROM,using flashtool...
If u get any error in flashtool, then try flashing another ftf...

Hello!
Remember this: You CAN'T use stock kernel with Cyanogenmod. You need to flash the kernel included inside the zip you downloaded.
And as far as I know, there is no CTC kernel for Xperia Mini or Xperia MDPI.
Since you already said that you unlocked the bootloader of your phone, try reflashing stock ICS firmware of Xperia Mini using Flashtool. Then if you want to install the ICS Cyanogenmod, download the zip file for your phone. After downloading the zip, flash the kernel that can be found inside the zip. That kernel has already a CWM installed so no need to install CWM manually. After flashing the kernel, install now the Cyanogenmod zip.

did u mess up ur phone in previous?!?! it looks like.
1. unlock bootloader is only once. it will STAY unlocked no matter what u do. so dont do it again
2.before installing a custom rom like CM, flashing a stock.ftf is good idea like u do, BUT:
a) make sure its the latest version of flashtool
b) install the drivers in the drivers folder of flashtool.
c) may install android SDK to get the google usb drivers (dont install ALL!!! just leave all like it is & install)
2.1 SO NOW if u flash a stock.ftf fw for YOUR phone, IT WILL BOOT 100%. ELSE:
a) u doing sth wrong (wrong fw etc)
b) ur phone is broken , a stock ics ftf will boot 100%, remember.
after this install cm like u say (kernel flash 1st than rom.--> boot)
