Heyyyy here's my story
I was on miracle rom with sd card partitioned via cwm and s2e installed
Used that rom for ages.. Flawless
Then saw PAC rom by Nims
Another epic rom used it it was amazing.... must try!!
So in this rom everything worked but the sd card partitioned was not recognized
No sd card partition found blah blah
Tried a lot of sh*t and the conclusion was sd card is not partitioned.
And so due lack of space i restored my CWM backup of miracle rom and voila my partition is alive
So sometimes a backup can partition your sd card
This really cracks me up

You could've just posted that in OT....

Why don't you just try it, then you'll know
Don't forget to back up your original void.fstab file.
I personally use this kind of phone on my previous phone (galaxy SL). It had only 4gb internal (around 1.5 useable). But on this phone I don't think this really a necessity. HD games and other memory consuming apps can be saved with a lot of excess space.
Update us if it works.
Will do a nandroid backup and will try! I'll post here the results
So i have very good news guys! This does work in perfection and here are some screenshots to prove it
With original vold.fstab:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With modified vold.fstab:
And in attachments the modified vold.fstab and the original one!
Use this with caution and of course: YOU NEED TO BE ROOTED!
Have fun!
Will learn to make a CWM that backups the original to the /sdcard and that clears /cache and dalvik cache! Or if anyone can make it for me i would be very thankful!
Thanks in advance!
Yeah,this works great,thanks.
First time I did this though I didn't backup the vold.fstab in the original directory in which I modified it.On the Galaxy W it caused me no end of problems,so I learn't my lesson.
I bought a Sandisk 16 gb micro sd card for my ICS tablet (Micromax Funbook) and inserted it. I go to settings > Storage And it is visible there. But whenever i install/move my apps to sd card it gets to internal sd card not external i.e 16 gb and my memory fills up ...
Can someone help Me to make my sd card working
THNX in ADVANce
That's pretty normal, there's mods to swap them around, ie make the SD card internal and the internal as "external" storage, but its dependent on your device/rom.
Please correct me if I'm wrong

@OP you will first have to root your device and then you can change your rom.Just search for "root Micromax funbook" and after that "micromax funbook custom rom" on google.

The sum of total memory usage and the free space available is not equal to the total amount of memory. Please suggest what is the problem and how to get the space back. I dont wnat to format my Internal memory so didn't try yet.
System Info
Rom: Ultima 12.0
CWM Touch 6.*.*
Siyah 1.9.1
the OS itself takes some space, whereas this is already calculated in the 11GB, you had some other roms installed? dualboot?
are you running a 4.2 ROM? Your previous internal memory is kept in /data/media, taking up space
Hey Friends, I found the problem, The Backups from CWM is not shown anywhere but it uses memory anonymously. I have deleted my old Nandroid backup and got the space back.
Problem Resolved but taken 3 Hrs.

This is probably because of what Gleburn said.
Hi, so after flashing ROM after ROM for months now, my internal storage space has gone down a lot. Out of 16GB, I only have three usable gigs after flashing a fresh ROM.

Does this look normal?
Regardless, I just want to find a way in CWM to wipe my internal storage clean, flash a new ROM from my extsd card, and start fresh with some more gigabytes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look for an option that says format data/media or similar. Your internal sdcard is just mapped to the data/media/0 folder.

Hello guys this is my first topic so sorry if it is repost, which I doubt because I'm looking for this all day. So here is the deal. I bought HTC DESIRE 516 DUAL SIM. After that I understand that with this device you cannot move apps to the SD card. I'v tried all day to change the installation location with ADB from 0 (auto) to 2 (external) and finally I did it.

But still the [Mod edit: Please watch your language] device is downloading and installing apps in the phone. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. I don't want to root it because I bought it one week ago. I just need to move the apps. Thanks
Forgot to tell you that I've tried this trick: I made new partition on the SD card 2 GB primary ext2 and i hopped that then it will work but still downloading and installing on phone. Link2SD also doesn't work without root...
any suggestions?

Ive heard its a common thing in Jelly bean that app2sd is not supported... My Xperia M also does not support it since 4.3 update
Now I left install location on 2 and I try to install an app it's giving me an error "insufficient memroy"...
