If you unlocked the boot loader you will have to relock first
How am I supposed to do that if the phone won't boot
Sent from my K1 using Tapatalk 2
In fastboot you type fastboot oem lock
But my bootloader doesn't fully load anymore because of the ruu... Now I get this orange ruu text where my bootloader options used to be.... Is fast boot still enabled in this screen? And btw I'm s-off not HTC unlocked
Sent from my K1 using Tapatalk 2
It shouldnt be a problem then, usually that error pops up when someone son forgets to relock
Well something is a problem cause nothing is working... I get a "fail-uz", next to system when running an ruu whether using the exe or bootloader zip method

Okay so I had an HTC rezound before and rooted it fine. But I just got it again from another member and im stuck. It's got the latest ics ruu but the bootloader reads locked with s off. I can't seem to fastboot or nothing. The Android driver won't install. I tried re installing the SDK and I can't because for some reason the Java JDK doesnt wanna install. Im kind of disappointed cuz I thought it was rooted but oh well. Any help guys ?

if you are s-off, just flash amonRA recovery via the sd card, and then install su/superuser via amonRA developer menu in recovery.
hold volume down while powering on to get into boot/recovery.
How do I install via recovery? Do I download it, rename it and flash it thru hboot?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
amonRA has an option in the developer menu called "install su/superuser"
sooooo
1) boot into recovery
2) scroll to Deveoper menu, click power.
3) scroll to "install su/superuser" click power.
Sorry I forgot to mention that there is no recovery on the phone. Sorry I thought I mentioned it
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
install amonRA from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339679&highlight=amonra+ph98img+zip
put the ph98img.zip on the root of your SD card, and flash it in the boot loader.

You don't have to.
Look.up Armon's Ra thread in the dev section, there you will find a PH89IMG file, put that on the root of your external sd and reboot to hboot (bootloader), it will install tge recovery for you and you can root from there.
Sent from my HTC Rezound using Tapatalk
I've got the PH98IMG.zip for AmonRA if you need it, just PM me! You can probably just flash it like they said and then it'll give you recovery. That's what I did before.
1) Put PH98IMG.zip in root of SD card
2) Boot into bootloader and then accept the install
3) Boot into AmonRA recovery

Yes or that. Sorry, I totally skimmed over what you said.
Thanks a lot fellas. Im usually good at figuring this stuff out myself but sometimes you need a helping hand I flashed the touch recovery from the dev section but ill flash the one posted instead since I've used that one on phones in the past. Thanks to everyone. Really appreciate it

I recommend flashing
http://unlimited.io/hboot-downloads/
the vigor ics hboot
thus granting you commonly used fastboot commands.
make sure the md5 sum matches, and follow the instructions.
I'm not responsible for any mess ups that may occur during this ^ process.
If you don't use fastboot then this isn't needed.
okay guys i got another problem. i flashed the TWRP recovery just fine thru the PH98IMG.zip way. then i tried to flash the AmonRa recovery that way and it finds the recovery but then it say Phasing or Phrasing and then does nothing. i then try the fast boot way (finally got it to recognize fast boot) and it tells me "FAILED <remote: not allowed>" i tried downloading it several times to make sure it wasnt a bad download and nothin. what to do guys?
at the boot loader screen, this is what it says in case this helps:
***Locked***
Vigor PVT Ship S-Off RL
HBoot-2.25.0000
Radio-1.22.10.0421r/1.22.10.0424r
OpenDSP-v13.6.0.7611.00.0104

ok, you are **locked** so flashing stuff via fastboot won't work... the nice thing is you are s-off, so you can flash ANYTHING via hboot...
What is your battery level at? IF you are not above 30% battery, it won't flash anything.
It says "Parsing..."
Nope I'm at 91% when I turned it back on. And yea thats what it said. Sorry I forgot what it exactly said

You dobt have to, and yes it's safe. Plus you need to be bootloader unlocked in order to s-off.

Again, you dont have to unlock. You're already s-off, you can flash ANYTHING at the Moment.

I just purchased an evo lte off Craigslist and I would like to put it back to stock. When I try to enable wifi it says there is an error. In the bootloader it says tampered, unlocked, s on, hboot 1.19.0000 also it has twrp recovery.
What steps do I need to take to get back to completely stock as it would be from the store. Thanks

If I'm correct the bootloader will always say tampered unlocked unless you use the tool to rename it...look in original development section...its by Regaw something. You can run the RUU but all the info will be in original development on returning to stock
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
The tool to edit hboot is by regaw_lienad, but it will only work on s-off hboot. You are s-on. Tampered means it's rooted. If you want unrooted stock out of the box, need to run 1.19 RUU. Check the stickies.

Do I have to lock the bootloader before running the ruu?
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
You do have to relock the bootloader through fastboot. Fastboot OEM lock. Then if it boots up afterwards put back in fastboot to run the RUU. I have done this multiple times with success. Afterwards it will not say tampered, but it will.say relocked instead of locked. But I've sent mine into sprint several times for repair and even got a replacement device

I'm a Samsung guy but to stop it saying 'relocked' could you not rewrite that ,before you lock it ? Not changing the command, just the writing it puts up ?

After I re locked the bootloader I had a tough time getting the ruu to run. I ended up having to hook the phone up to the computer in the fast boot screen. The ruu finally ran successfully and I'm now completely back to stock. Thanks for the help!

I know this is not a new problem and I have tried to glean information from other threads and have been trying for 2 days straight to solve this issue to no avail. The problem occurred when installing the android 4.0 ICS update. I left the phone to install and when i came back to it it was stuck on the white htc screen. i have attempted flashing a new RUU but this has done nothing, possibly because i have no idea what im doing and have only tried my best to do what i have found on forums. How can i solve this???
by the way, unrooted, s-on, the phone and OS are factory in all aspects as far as i know
Make sure that your bootloader is locked to flash an RUU

Need some help. I gave a friend of mine my old thunderbolt. I had it running the latest version of Nusense that was based off the ics ota. Now for some unknown reason my buddy brings phone to someone else to have his down grade it or something. Needless to say whatever he did or whatever program he ran turned the phone from rooted to unlocked and now its s-on. I've tried a few things, but cant seem to get anything to work. Think the main problem is I can seem to get the computer to recognize the phone. It shows up in devices but not as a drive. Tried drivers, but nothing. Tried all in one tool, but it keeps coming up error-no device. I turn phone on and it comes up to the white screen with the htc logo for a few minutes then shuts off. I can get into hboot/bootloader with no problem and the phone will stay on. here is what it says.
Unlocked
mecha xd ship s-on
microp-/
radio-1.48.00.0930w3
emmc-boot
My sd card has nothing on it except su zip and 4ext recovery...can get into that with no problem. Just want to be able to get the phone working again. Any help would be great
Thanks
Sounds like he attempted to update the phone with the ota. That is the only way I can think that you would stay unlocked but s on. The revolutionary h boot wasn't able to be overwritten by the new h boot but the update was still somehow able to put the phone into s off.

I got some maore info, turns out he tried to use the htc all in one tool to put in back to stock. Now i had it running a rom based off the ota along with the ics radios. From what I was told all was good until the ruu uploaded. It rebooted, and then got stuck on the white screen with the htc logo. He then went back in and realized that the phone was locked and s-on...used htcdev to get it unlocked again, but couldnt do anything else with it. Ive tried all I can think of with no luck...any ideas, suggestions.
Thanks
Try going here http://www.forums.infectedrom.com/showthread.php?p=67914
I'm not sure this will work or help you but it may. This is the only current method to root the ota.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Thanks for the root, I've tried that first. I get to the part were you open a cms prompt and try and do the PGO5img.zip file, but it says waiting on device. I have drivers installed , but for some reason my computer know there is a device connected...shows up in devices, but not as a drive. Not sure what to do
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
That is probably because you can't enable debugging because of the state it is in. What happens when it is connected and you type adb devices?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Probably a dumb question, but were would I type that and how
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
In the command prompt.... Get familiar with it because it is needed for that guide. If you don't have adb installed on your pc it won't work.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Had it, not sure if still do. If not will down load again and let u know. Thanks for the help.
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Think its still on my system. Typed inc:\android>adv devices.
It checks and comes back with some numbers and letters and says off line. Did I do this correctly
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Sorry spellings off today..trying to do to many things at once...typed in adb devices...friggin spell check.
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Was that with the phone connected?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Yes
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Boot into the bootloader and select fastboot. Then connect the USB, open the command prompt and this time try fastboot devices.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
It says ht11zs007516. Fastboot
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
That's a good sign then. At least fastboot sees your device. Can you still access recovery?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Yes...I have 4ext recovery and am still able to get in
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Have you tried clearing caches? Also try a full wipe and reflash of the stock ics ota
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Cleared caches and I tried the nusense Rom I originally had on phone and got nothing...it seems to go through the motions in recovery like its loading Rom, but when I reboot, same white screen. Can try again....side note, radios no longer listed as ics radios, now 930w3...part of what other guy did.
Sent from my DNA using Tapatalk
Hmmm what does your h boot show
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought after flashing a RUU it was supposed to be just like when you purchased your phone. But when I run my RUU for my One it still shows Relocked at the top. Any help?

I think that unless we have s off it won't take away the relocked thing

What Nick said...
RUU will remove the tampered notification however it will not remove the relocked indication in the Hboot.
