May I know what exactly happens when we try to use crt on our phone? I know its compatible wid r phone cuz its there in cm7.

@hell_lock. Its an animation when you turn on/off your screen it will be looks like a crt tv.when turned on the screen start as horizontal whiteline then spread up and down until the screen turned on completely. When turned off the process is reversed. The screen becomes smaller and becomes white horizontal line on the middle of the screen before it turned off. The overall process happeed very quick and looks very cool. All xperia product have this feature turned on by default.

I that think this is not yet possible cuz I try to find thrle bools.XML but can't find it. the values folder does not exist.

In other words, the animation is like turning off 80s crt TVs.

that thread is made in july 2011. I've read that samsung have their own unique framework. that file doesn't exist in samsung's framework anymore. CMIIW

I know what crt is. I wanted to know why devs are unable to make it work? What hapens when they try it on our phone?

And at last u need to modify the build.prop
Pull it from ur mobile or use the one i attached. It is inside the CRT ANIM.zip file.
Open the build.prop file in any Text editors (i used notepad++) find "debug.sf.hw=1" and add # (making it comment) at first.
It should look like this:
#debug.sf.hw=1
