Hi Developers
I have SGS III
How can i connect my Android JB to Laptop via LAN to USB converter.
I connected my phone via "microUSB to USB" via OTG cable then connect to "USB to LAN" converter and then connected LAN to Laptop with windows7.
win7 tried to find Local Area Connection but at the end set an undefined Local Area Connection with undefined IP.
So what can i do to use my phone in this way. transferring data or join to Network & etc.
Thanks for reading, thinking and answering

Do you think it's possible to have the sx56 connect to a actual wireless network to be able to surf the web and such?? maybe if you used the usb connection and put a linksys wireless usb card on the end or something? i dont know i am just curious ?
i'm a T-Mobile USA user, and i can go online an chat or surf or download... 24/7 for $19.00 a month!
someone also told me that they made SD-card bluetooth for it too.
didnt look into it yet tho.
2 kind of devices have an usb connector
1. usb peripheral
2. usb hosts (or what ever you want to call it)
1. are stuff like an external harddisk and a webcam and an xda
2. are computers laptops pc's mac's what ever
you cant connect 2 {1} devices like you cant connect your webcam to your usb harddisk even if the cable fit because there need to be a master
the xda is a peripheral which can connect to a pc
so you cant connect other peripheral's to it since 2 peripherals cant talk with eachother
so there is no way to connect to a wireless network through the pda? besides using the cradle and activesync?
you can of cause connect using VPN if it support over GPRS to a server which route you into a wireless lan
or if you really can get those bluetooth adaptors which work even though the sd slot is not sd-io because bluetooth support PPP so you could bluetooth to a computer which could route you into a wireles lan
No.
No wireless LAN.
No Bluetooth.
Period.
That's it.
Hello.
I have a gps device, garmin forerunner 405, and I would like to send my trainings to my tablet. I have installed "ANT USB Service" and "ANT Radio Service". I have installed an app to get my trainings, "sportablet". I connect my usb adapter, them my ant usb stick and... nothing. But if I connect my usb adapter and a usb with photos or videos, yes, I can see its content.
Someone knows how can I connect the "ant usb stick" to the sgt 10.1?
Thank you.
I'm using my Sony Xperia Z1s for this (on 4.4.4). I'm connected to a neighbor's wifi (with permission of course) on my PC via a Netgear wireless USB adaptor. I am attempting to use DroidCam as I don't have a proper webcam, so I can use my Sony as a webcam and skype on the desktop (Win7). The problem arises when I connect my android (via usb) to the desktop, as within a few minutes, the wifi will always fail (full signal bars, yellow exclamation triangle). Doesn't matter whether the android is in MTP mode or MSC mode, or whether or not debugging is enabled (though, it must be enabled for DroidCam to connect). It's as if the android's usb connection is interfering with the Netgear's usb connection. Why is this, and how can I attempt to fix this?
EDIT: Before you ask why I don't simply skype via the app, the wifi connection is not strong enough for my android, the Netgear produces a stronger connection on the desktop. I attempted to use USB Tunnel so I could connect the android to the PC and use the wifi signal that the Netgear is grabbing on my android, but..... again..... connection issues.
I bought a Rapoo e6500 portable bluetooth keyboard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvim6Gh4hR0
It works perfectly in wireless with either my Android tablet or with my desktop computer
However, it also has a mini USB port (for recharging)
But if I switch BT off and connect it via USB it does not get recognized at all
How come?
Could it be that the USB connection carries only charge and no data?
If I connect it to a linux running computer and give the command lsusb the keyboard does not show up....
Android doesn't work like that. Only charging and mtp protocols are the only ones.
I wanted to ask if can you share the internet connection you reverse tethered to your android device from a PC to a Laptop. The internet connection will flow starting from the pc to android via usb cable (reverse tethering) then android to a laptop through a hotspot. Is that possible? Can you transfer the internet you reverse tethered to a laptop in a wifi form?
