How do I extend the number of rings on the amaze? My phone rings for about 5 sec before voicemail kicks in. I'd like to extend it. I've looked in settings but there's no option to do this. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to change the way the calls are accepted/declined? I do not like at all the way you have to put accept/decline in the ring. I am using a stock device. Called HTC about another issue and mentioned this before hanging up and they said no. If I can't change the settings for that maybe a 3rd party application if it's available.

If it helps at all, you can answer a call by pulling the bottom large ring up to anywhere on the screen and just use the little icons for decline call.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip. I do like that better than what I do now.

Any way to change how the phone behaves in regards to the screen waking up after ending a Bluetooth phone call?
Windows Mobile handled this correctly. Android does the opposite.
For example, I am on a phone call using BT headset, I press the power button and put the phone to sleep, put the phone in my pocket, end the call and the screen wakes up with the dialer open. Guess what happens next.....pocket dialing!
WM would end the call and the screen wouldn't turn on, and even after waking it up it was locked.
BT headsets, voice dialing, but I can't just leave the phone in my pocket? Doesn't make any sense!
End call should equal no wake or unlock(no action)
A lot of android users and the people their pockets dial would benefit from this.

So I dial.out once EVO LTE rings it rings directly from the speakerphone
Is this normal or a way to change it in settings
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I really can't understand what you said. Clarify please?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Simple...
Every time I make a normal call as soon as the person or whomever answers I can hear them on speaker phone
I look down on the dialer screen and it auto enables The rear speaker
Ifl I click it off call goes to Normal ear speaker
This happens every time I call anyone
And no I am not enabling speakerp phone prior to dialing

Well in this case, I have no idea but I can tell you that is NOT the normal, stock behavior of this phone. Are you rooted, and do have any custom ROMs installed?

No everything works fine elsewise
Brand new phone
Strangest sh** I've ever seen
Annoying to

Weird. I've personally never seen a setting for that behavior. I'd bring it to Sprint of no one on here knows. They will either show you the way to change it, or replace it for you.

Are you flipping your phone face down after dialing? Because doing that automatically turns on speakerphone.
So I keep getting calls from this number that just seems to call even though I told them they have the wrong number. Some McDonald's that thinks I manufacturer the ice machine. They called 6 times in 10 mins. So has anyone used this call blocked that is built in our phones. I want to know if it works. I don't want to even see an incoming call on my screen or a voice mail notification if they call. Is this possible? If anyone has used this feature before could you explain how it works and your personal experience with it.
Thanks

You can log in to your Verizon account online and block numbers. Only lasts 3 months though, then you have to redo it.

Better yet just add the number as a contact and then there is an option to block all calls from that number.
Has anyone else noticed or experienced unusually long call connect time? No matter what method I use to place a call (swipe, enter number directly, ect...) it takes 15-20 seconds before I can hear the phine start ringing. I'm on mj4 stock rooted with mj4 baseband. Any input is appreciated.

Bump. Anyone had this issue? Mine is continuous.

Do you use Google voice and merged your number? This issue happens to me when my Google voice and Sprint number is linked. It also happens for incoming calls too, where when I pick up on the first ring, the caller says they waited 6 rings or more. I temporarily unlinked my numbers, and got instant results

yes, I use Google. Thanks for the head up, I'll try unlinking
