Hi everyone i have downloaded the official kernel sources for my tablet galaxy tab 2 7.0 . The source is for ICS and i want to prot it to jelly bean .
Can someone help me ?

I just get into porting 3.0.8 kernel for 4.0. But if you want to do it also for 5.0, I would like to try.
But why I set up this thread is, want some team memeber. Because it requires some works (not much) I need a team.
If someone want to join, this will be a team working thread. So, please reply anyway.

Yes, the yp-g1 source from Samsung contains defconfigs for both 5.0 (venturi) and 4.0 (Palladio).

Has Samsung released the appropriate files and information for porting?
I believe doing so is compulsory, in order to comply with open-source regulations.

Wrong section but .. any stock ROM will work. I just used the MHL/HDMI connector night before last. Worked great. I'm running Criskelo JB ROM v13.

Galaxy S III android development. The "Original" android development section is AOSP ROMs and Kernels, etc.. you want Sammy based ROMs!

Read the specific thread for your issue. But 'development' for Jellybam has stopped and the thread is closed, so maybe think about moving on to another rom

Ace-i doesn't even have unofficial JB, so dreams of BBM on it, having considered anyone ports it to ARMv6, are far fetched

all of them just say that they are 4.0+ . And we will have to wait till we get the official jellybean. which is impossible. so just say a byebye to either bbm or s5830i
