galaxy note stylus mod - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

ive been thinking the stylus on the note is great and i love it especially at work because im usually wearing gloves so its a god send one annoying thing about it though is the lack of ability to us the hardware keys with the stylus. anyways my question is does anyone have any idea of any type of material that would work on the capacitive buttons? my idea is getting said material glued or somehow secured to the top of the s pen so as not to interefere with the fucntion of the stylus hiding in the phone. any one have any ideas?

Pen icon in the notification area

I received my new Note 2 today and have a question. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this icon?

Put your spen back. I'm pretty sure that's the icon for quick Links when the spen is removed

I have done that, it vibrates, and makes the sound when I insert the pen so it is recognizing it as "holstered".
I was messing around with combinations of using the pen. Who knows what I have triggered. I could reboot but want to figure out why this happened.
Thanks

Just reboot. It's probably just a glitch. I had one today where it kept saying I had a new text, wouldn't go away until areboot

Show us your case!

Well I'll be damned....
No thread about cases in the VZW section! Yes, any S4 case will fit, but we need this here. I'll start!
Incipio that I found at a corp VZW store. It's got the internal soft grey liner, then the hard white outer shell.

Show off your cases and please describe which case you have with your pic, this helps others shopping for options!
You'll find tons of threads in the accessory s4 category

Sensu: Artist Brush Stylus

Sensu is a rubber-tipped stylus on one end and a bristled artist brush that's capacitative screen compatible (patent pending tech, using copper in the strands of the brush) on the other end.
So far I've used it with the included 'Sketchbook for Galaxy' app that comes with our Note3 and it's VERY nice (technically you could achieve the same effect with the SPen, but it just feels more natural to be holding a brush and seeing the strokes on the screen accordingly). Doesn't seem to be pressure-sensitive though, not sure if that's a hardware limitation or only available to the SPen or if I'm missing a setting somewhere...I'll surely keep fiddling to find out.

If it's not pressure sensitive, then there's no point
