If you want to improve your tutorial, please show some screenshots :good:

Thanks for your advice. I think re-locking the device means, one must be familiar with all the tools and all so i think there is no need of screenshot and also it is very simple steps.

Hello... There's already a thread of this topic . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30731936

No need to do test point method. And, yes, you can save your unlock code somewere and use it everytime you want. I used my unlock code many times, and still working, no problem

thanks for the DL link and info.
one more silly question, i have found that once the DRM keys are lost it is not possible to get back it again, so still is there any solution for it or not?

I really don't know, i think you can't get it back. When you requests unlock code from sony, you do it with your imei, so they have info for every phone that have unlocked bootloader and this is final. No getting back. I heard that bootloader unlocked with test point method can save your drm, but i'm not sure, better you search in general section and find more information. When i was searching to unlock my bootloader, i found out that is test point method bit aggressive and i didn't want to break my phone, so i done it with official method which is very safe.

Hi,
I did all you said for re-lock my xperia arc. everything is good except battery percentage. It stocks at 100%
What should I do ?

[Update] Well this is unfortunate...

Good day
I need help
I've been looking at tripnravers roms on modaco when I noticed rendeiro2005's bootloader cracking thread(copied from the_laser) in which he forgot to mention that if you've unlocked your phone with any other service than the_laser's (i unlocked at rendeiro's site -.-)your phone won't have any network ><
So I unlocked my bootloader and then flashed doom's boot manager (before I had wolfbreaks 6 w/ locked bootloader kernel by doom) and after reboot i've ofc realized i don't have any network and used the_laser's tool to relock my bootloader.
I went into xrec cleaned my system data etc (I believe this is where I went wrong)
and installed wolfs v6 again
I came to pin enter screen after which I would only see dark blue background and nothing on it
I reflashed stock 2.3 rom and its still the same problem
Hope you can help me out :/

To solve this I think you have to relock your bootloader...
Edit: Technically your device is not a brick since it can still run. However it has become a PDA now =(
Well as I said I have relocked it with the tool the_laser provided and when I press "restore" I get a message like its already restored
And yeh... well was hoping for some good luck
Ask the laser! You might have to use his Sim unlock tool.. He said something about this before
Tbh at this point I don't even care about unlocked bootloader I just want everything functional again ><

I'm going to give it a try as soon as I can
Ok tried SEUS - Nope (Dunno why I did it as it does the same thing as the flashtool)
Can't get back my xrec for unlocking and flashing again since I don't have usb debugging on... haha ><

why you need xrec?
the method to unlock is you need Azuzu flash tool and the_laser unlocking tools.
did you already check 9Luka5 unlock method? (simplified from the_laser)
let me simplified the method more for you.
5 IMPORTANT STEPS:
1. Check your sim is lock or unlock, semc or setool (file here: s1tool.7z )
-this step to show you should do the unlocking or not and also to determine which file you need to open at step number 4 later (qsd8250_semc or qsd8250_setool2)
2. Check your windows can detect your phone driver or not.
-open your window Device Manager (during phone connected)
-if your phone driver is not found (still got !), install ggsetup-2.2.0.11
-check your window Device Manager again if the phone driver still got "!" or not.
-if no more "!" proceed to next step
3. Downgrade your kernels
-Use Androxyde flashtool OR aZuZu modified flashtool to downgrade Kernels
Kernels : Kernel downgrade file
4. Unlocking your bootloader (Files: ( View attachment 713198)
-after you downgrade the kernel, try to reconnect the USB cable and wait until flashtool detect your x10.
-after flashtool detected your x10, open file (do not press anykey yet) above make sure you choose qsd8250_semc for those who is SEMC locked or qsd8250_setool2 is for setool locked sim from the 1st step.
-after you open one of those file, close your flashtool. and then you can press anykey of those unlocking bootloader cmd.
-close those cmd and your phone is officially unlocked
*sony erricson words still appear when you start boot your phone unless you process to final step below.
5. Final step
-this step is up to you....but note that your phone is still with downgraded kernels and without wifi modules.
-if you plan to use stock kernel, flash this using flashtool and use xrecovery afterward to flash stock wifi modules
but i recommend you directly flash DooMLord's Boot Manager
Enjoy
hit thanks if i helped you.
those all above i took from the_laser, 9Luka5, Androxyde, aZuZu, DooMLord and anyone that i forgot to mentioned
*if found it wrong, please correct me if im wrong
Well the problem is I can't turn on USB debugging so flashtool doesn't detect my X10 (for step 4)
USB debugging can be activated inside application settings.
Did you even read the thread?
Once I enter my PIN I can only see dark blue background...
Ok I've got a plan but I need help
I need to turn on my usb debugging without using the interface on my phone
Is it possible to do it with pushing a file or doing a cmd in adb?
Ehh so if anyone gives a damn anymore , it seems it only happens when I have a SIM card in my phone otherwise it works

PS: during the time i tried the setup, my phones was rooted, with CWM installed and with 2.3 GB with locked BL...
do i need to be on stock rooted ICS with CWM for this setup? currently using stock ICS 4.0.4 non rooted with no CWM... really hoping some help
Brov yhu wanna break yur mobile???
Yhu need to be on ICS before installing RealICS r6, didn't yhu read instructions before trying dis???
I advice yhu be on ICS, get a Kernel with root/CWM, flash tha Kernel via fastboot using flashtool, boot to CWM & flash RealICS r6!
Yhu can use Rage kernel 3.2, Mesa Kernel 1.8 or Kernel Panic........ Hope dis helps!!!
Yeah, next time be sure read before Open a thread.
As above person said, do it.
after reading the instrusions, i got 2 questions....
# do i need to be on unlocked BL or locked is cool?
# do i MUST need to be on ICS 4.0.4 to setup RealCSv6?
1. No you don't need to unlock for real ics, there's a real ics version which doesn't require unlocked bootloader.
But if you want to flash a custom kernel you must (like for cyangoenmod you MUST unlock the bootloder).
2. Yes you must be on rooted ics to install an ics custom rom on locked bootloader...

Ok, I also had the same trouble. real ICS_r6 wasn't loading. So I tried the "flushing kernel" trick, I tried flashing Mesa kernel in fastboot using flashtool & flashtool showed it did work.
Here's the problem, now I'm STUCK in fastboot mode. Whenever I unplug, try to reboot, in fact whatever I do.....the phone remains dead. & if the green LED shows up, it dies within a few seconds & the phone remains dead. I have to take out the battery & start on fastboot again.
Can someone help? I am kinda panicking here

First You need To unlock ur bootloader
to do so

and press accept or next etc and on somewhere u will find a form fill it out with ur info and via email get the code
2.install flahtool first post on dev section has da links
3.install ur drivers from flahtool/drivers
4. Unlocking procedure.
Install flashtool in your computer.
Go to the flashtool installed directory
“drivers” folder and double click
“Flashtool-drivers.exe” file and install
the “adb” and “fastboot” drivers.
Power off the phone and enable the
flash mode. To enable it, after power
off wait for a few seconds and press
and hold the volume down key and
same time connect the phone to the
computer via USB cable . (Arc, Arc s
need to press back key)
Go to “Plugin>Bootloader unlock>Run”.
Now you can see your device IMEI
number contain window, copy it and
click “Get unlock key”. But don’t close
the window.
Now

browser. Click “Yes I’m sure”
Tick legal term and click “I accept”.
Type your name, phone IMEI number,

To verify your bootloader is unlocked.
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* in your phone’s
keypad.
Go to the “Service>Configuration” if it
displays “Bootloader unlock :Yes”. You
unlocked the bootloader.
5. then flash a custom kernel and install as guided on the main thread.

Yesterday I re-locked the bootloader using this process, everything went fine, I have a locked bootloader now. Today I am trying to unlock it again following the Sony procedure. Everything goes fine and I get the OK confirmation in fastboot, after that the phone will enter in an endless reboot loop.
Am I doing something wrong?, is there a way to get out of the boot loop?, or I should follow different process to unlock the bootloader now?, thanks

wish I could help ya, I can't even get flashtool to recognize the Xperia ZU -- which drivers did you use? I don't see the ZU listed as supported in the drivers section ...
as for your problem -- did you use the same key Sony email'ed you the first time or asked the website to generate a new one? As I understand it, the first unlock also deleted the DRM keys .. not sure if that was used somehow to calculate the KEY it generated (kinda like a hash check?) shrugs -- I know that Re-locking your bootloader did NOT restore those keys ... not unless you backed it all up first with that backup app that's on the dev section.

Well I am a bit confused as to what you are asking and why ----
You mention a TA restore --- that would imply you did a TA BACKUP *before* unlocking bootloader --- correct?
If that is the case, why did you RE-lock the bootloader with the procedure in this thread .. you could/should have just done TA Restore. The procedure here is just for us saps who unlocked the BL via Sony method.
Now .. having said that ... I *believe* that you can still do a TA Restore (if you did a Backup obviously) -- and it should bring everything back to square 1 .. but since I never got to do it, I can't say I've tested this. Why not ask in that thread, the developer seems to have tested out a few diff scenarios successfully.
Cheers
Ahh you mean Ta restore will auto lock the boot loader.. that is what I understand..
Exactly I have Ta backup before unlock boot loader

Yes, exactly. If you have a TA Backup before unlock, you're good
And yes you should be able to unlock again with original keys.
One thing -- why would you even WANT to unlock the BL? rooting the phone has been achieved now without unlocking the bootloader -- there's no advantage to unlocking it now.
cheers!

DRM keys lost, only way is to have done a TA backup before unlock. If you didn't you loosed it, only can hope devs find a way to get it back without the DRM keys.

UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER:
This may wipe your phone, so backup your stuff
• Go to Sony's dev site
• Request the unlock key and check your mail straight away. Email is quick these days.
• Open Flashtool on your computer (yes, the one you installed earlier)
• Click the "BLU" icon
• Follow the steps and enter your unlock key

Sorry , that was all I knew to suggest. The only phone I recall being unable to be unlocked is one from Bell Canada.
