Hey there, not exactly this, but I borked my ROM also by flashing a theme that was NOT made for my ROM's base.
Just reflash the ROM in recovery again and you'll be fine

Thanks for the reply I panicked that much I never thought in doing that.
It worked to btw lol thank god phone back in business, im new to phone modding got fed up modding other things and im sorry for the wasteful thread.
Hey man no problem, I kinda freaked out as well when my phone got into an infinite reboot loop, then I googled for a bit and found out that this saves your phone haha.
Cheers mate, next time be on the lookout a theme with your PDA version - open your dialer and enter *#1234# - it will show you a screen with basic firmware info - and always download themes for your PDA version (for example XXKI3) and be sure to get odexed/deodexed version based on your ROM
Enjoy your modding!

flashable crt on off zip animation mod on rooted stock ics EDIT: solved see below

hello guys, just want to ask if their is any flashable zip crt on off animation available on stock rooted ics on our phone? i have searched but it is only available package to custom roms and have see some flashable zip for the i900 phone but none for the i777. I don't want to customized much my phone as I'm quite satisfied of it now except for this crt off effect which is lacking. there's an app in the market but it seems feel not native to the phone. Ay link, guides or flashable zip(the better) is highly appreciated. I hope I'm not asking too much. Thnx folks.
Edit: There is now CRT Animation zip flashable thru CWM and confirmed working on Stock At&t ICS. I am not the one who make this Zip it is thru the effort of one of the helpful member here callMeAria and thought I would share for everyone to enjoy, so thanks him for making it easy for us with a stock ICS firmware to have the CRT animation implemented on our phone. The file can be found on post #8 of this thread or click the links below. I am not responsible if something happen to your phone when you flash this file it is imperative to make a recovery backup before flashing anything. There are 2 files first is for the CRT animation, the second one is to make return to your previous state easier by flashing it thru CWM if something not good happens when flashing. Enjoy:good:

This. Task and ktoonsz are working on bringing us a working stable jellybean rom. If you're patient,I would suggest breaking your cherry on THAT. Just watch the aokp thread in development section.

thnx guys for the reply, as of now I just use the app in the market. I will just wait if something good pop out here. In the moment, I am eyeing on this Tweakbox apk discussed somewhere in the forum that you can enable crt animation and other stuff. :good:

If you upload your framework-res.apk I can knock it out real quick in a flashable zip. Should only take a few mins once I get it.
EDIT: Let me know what rom it is as well. That way people don't go flashing it for the wrong ROM

Hello CallMeAria, thanks for your interest. I am running on stock At&t 4.0.3 ICS firmware running Siyah kernel and I have attached my framework-res.apk also on the attachment below. Thanks again have a Great day.:good:
Got it. I'll knock that out for you in a bit (sons watching a movie on the computer )
Heres the modified framework-res.apk with the crt animation:
Flashable CRT Animation
And since I havent tested that one, heres the stock framework-res.apk so you can flash back:
Flashable Stock Framework-res.apk
Like I said, I didnt actually test this yet (im running cm10 atm). It should work, but you never know when something doesnt compile just right :silly: Worst case scenario is boot loop, in which case you just flash the stock framework i posted. Best case is it works and in between is I messed up and the animation isnt enabled If it doesnt work, then just let me know and I'll give it another go. Takes all of 5 mins each time around.
EDIT: If it does work, go ahead and put the links up in your original post so its easier for people to find.
crt screen off working

Any way to fix the flickering? Works good but the flickering gets annoying.

[Q] SGS2 Replace preinstalled apps in Custom ROM

Hey guys,
Please can u tell me if there is a solution to change/modify to your needs a custom Rom you're about to install on your rooted galaxy s2 ( 9100 ).
For example: I want to install CyanogenMod 10 Nightly build... , it's installed, next i install GAPPS (google apps).
Ok, after reboot everything is ok and working.
Now what i want to do is to replace a default CM(cyanogenmod) apps (SMS, Contact manager/Call manager) by those which were included in JB 4.1.2 (leaked version).
Is there any way to achieve it ?
Thanks in advance for any info and suggestions.

Nope, i watched Chameleon ROM Hybrid on youtube but you can see that he is using old sms app (green with smiley), instead of what i'am searching for (Messaging with orange/yellow envelope).
But what i mentioned is that he have TouchWiz launcher (Desktop), where u can create folders etc.. How can i port it to fresh installed CM10 ROM?
Any suggestions? thanks

[Q] THe phone stuck in boot animation after installing some modes with Omega kitchen

Hi All,
I flashed the omega v44 a few hours ago and I wanted to add some mods.
I read that in order to install a mod I need to boot to recovery and than "install from zip"
I did a test to add a call button in the call log and it worked so I did it again for: HD camera, remove SMS and 24 toggels icons together and "reboot now"
after a few minutes i noticed that the boot animation is stuck so i wated 5 more minutes.
i did a reset and waited again.
I did a titanium backup and nandroid back up and now I'm restoring the nandroid i think. ( the only option i had)
it's still stuck on Samsung logo and a fading blue background around it.
edit: i just flashed the phone again and now it's ok, but there is a solution for installing mods?
looking for help.
Thanks
Thread moved to proper forum.

Read the basic Faqs and guides first they are the first step then read the instructions in Omega thread .

spoken fulyour
Thanks for your help but I went over them and searched the forum already with no success.
Just try one mod at a time

If you read you'll find out that there are almost no working mods for newest Omega v44 since it's a leaked android v4.2.1 and all mods should be rewritten. Also in Omega files clearly says for what version of Omega are mods so you can see that there are no mods for Omega v44. Be patient and they will appear soon or later...

[Q] Pardus hd 4.1.2 S4 Edition FINAL

Hi. I have installed Pardus HD version 4.1.2 S4 Edition FINAL. After finishing the installation, I have then installed Deluxe Settings through Play Store and have made some tweaking using it. Is that all that I need to be able to fully "enjoy" the greatness of the ROM?
If so, am I able to flashed another theme to this ROM as I am not a fan of the white S4 theme that has been included with the ROM?
Really hope to have an answer to this. I'm merely a noob and needs confirmation before I accidently brick my phone.
Thank you in advance!

You should be able to flash themes, it's not highly recommended to flash theme on an existing theme, but I do it all the time and I've never had a problem. The worst that could happen is the you get a bootloop, just reinstall the rom and that's it

Hi Danny. If I were to change the theme, I should get the theme that is compatible with the JKay Deluxe Settings that I have right? Its that all?
If I were to get bootloop, will I be able to easily go to Recovery mode?
Thanks in advance.

To fully use the customization that jkay provide you should flash jkay compatible themes like this one, this is my favourite... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165980.
Yeah, just hold volume up, menu and turn off key at the same time, and it will reboot in to recovery
